  • You can't describe bioshock as a 'game', it is too deep to be just a game, it is more of an experience / trip in my opinion - 'games' you can complete and forget about, but bioshock is sort of a whole other reality, thats what i think anyway.

  • Hello my dears... Sit down now and enjoy the show. I hope you'll fancy it!

  • i can't wait to get bioshock=D

  • Ironic how Ken Levine (the creator of this game) created this beautiful work of art with his "useless liberal arts degree". I wonder what he read in order to create this game.

By the way, just for the hell of it, there are four dislikes. Time to grab my camera :3

  • @Andybato wonderful comment:)

  • @ALLIED7621 Thanks man. I know this game because my little brother played BioShock 2. I liked that game but didn't finish it, so I have to borrow his friend's first bioshock and I'm almost there to reach Andrew Ryan!!

  • @Andybato He stated he was obsessed with dystopia novels (like 1984, Farenheit 451) and failed utopia novels (Brave New World) other than that i have no idea where else he got his influence from.

  • @stacetheface47 Thanks. I actually got those facts from Wikipedia. Playing this game makes me want to become a videogame creator =)

  • @Andybato In fact the book that influenced him the most waws Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand

  • Gawd this is beautiful.

  • This is no videogame, its simply a work of art.

  • Greatest game ever made, a true example of art.

  • "Aaaahhh...That's better. Atlas, Ryan, Atlas, Ryan, da dada, dadadada...time wise, you can get something decent on the radio. The artist has a duty: To seduce the ears and delight the spirit. So say goodbye to those two blowhards, and hello, to an evening...with Sander Cohen"

    -Sander Cohen

  • @chruiz42 thanks man that was awesome

  • The best 1:25 of my life

  • man this game is just too much, you can tell they put a lot of thought into it. the worst thing is people overlook the greatness of bioshock and bioshock 2 and overate other games. truly this is a work of art beautiful....just beautiful..

  • Do you think memory is life?

  • This is so powerful and beautiful! :D And... creepy?

  • the sound of the sleeping beauty and grace of the wonder rapture. hard to think that it would be turned into a hell hole.

  • @froggy556 Well when you consider they sell rocket launchers in vending machines...

  • I'm not a virgin... but I love The Ink Spots AND Bioshock!

  • @gorgeousgambler I lol'd.

  • what is this the vagina monologues?

  • @Madorem LOL

  • What..does this have to do with female gamers?

  • This is the only game that truly had me emphasize with my character.

A simple human, forced to combat the horrors of Rapture without even realizing he never had a choice in the matter. And heck... I can't even really call him a full "human", considering what Fontaine had done to him.

And the worst part is that I can't even bring myself to fully hate Fontaine... I can't bring myself to hate ANY of them. Only resent.

Gotta say, you rarely ever encounter a piece of work like Bioshock.

  • @JerichoCrossDark I agree. After fighting those tormented souls, to learn everything is a lie is sickening.

  • i got stuned in this scene when you look up to the dancers and that magnificent scenario and lighting you just cant stop looking

  • This has got to be my favorite music from the game.

  • Of all the enemies in bioshock, Sander Cohen was my favorite. Granted he was crazy and killed those who opposed his work, there was always something about him that made me pity and admire him. But that didn't stop me from killing him and taking a picture. Turly the purest form of irony ever.

  • @TheBlahblahman101 so true

  • S. Cohen: Come spend an evening....with Sander Cohen...

    Me: :D

  • @jadespike15 That was mine same reaction haha

  • @YaKuuX This is how seeing him for the first time played out...

    *cohen comes down the stairs*

*hypnotized big daddy accidently hits cohen, trying to get to the splicer behind him*

    My reaction: :D....D:

  • I've literally spent 2 years looking for this soundtrack :( Bioshock is one of the best videogames ever and these soundtracks just highlight the greatness of the game. Thanks for putting this on.

  • music that is sweet to the ears. kindoff. oh well. hmmph. bottoms up.

  • Bioshock is by far the best game of this generation :) a real master piece

  • This is the theme that plays on the Fort Frolic level, right?

  • You think you have memories...A computer. A click. A website...And now this video. But was there really a click? Did you really come here by your own? Or was this already set as your homepage?

  • @RioManegos my god, everything makes sense now O_O"

  • @RioManegos Andrew Ryan's back lol

  • Bio-shock is an awesome game only just gotten into it but i much prefer battlefield bc 2 however if you were to combine the frostbite engine with bioshock that would be an epic game!

  • 1.- COD

    2.-Bioshock

    .

    .

    .

    10000000000.- Halo

  • @MAXLSSJ idiot

  • You think you have memories. A farm. A family. An airplane. A crash. And then this place. Was there really a family? Did that airplane crash, or, was it hijacked? Forced down, forced down by something less than a man, something bred to sleepwalk through life unless activated by a simple phrase, spoken by their kindly master. Come in.

    Stop, would you kindly?

Would you kindly, powerful phrase. Familiar phrase?

  • Is it wrong if I have a crush on Cohen?

  • @Wafflepal HE'S MINE.

  • @XpeanutttX

    O.O O rly?

  • @Wafflepal YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • @XpeanutttX

    NUUUUUUUUU!!!

  • @Wafflepal HAHAHA! XD

  • @Wafflepal yes very much lol i love bioshock i fricken idolize it

  • @Wafflepal Yes, it is. Wrong as all hell. But of course, you already know...Cohen lives there.

  • dont worry the doubters shall meat their fate soon

  • this wasn't so menacing as the other

  • Is It Bad If I Beat This Game Over 9 Times, And Enjoyed Every Minute Of It?

  • @SerialSNipEr84 No, Friend, Absoluty Not.

  • I see all the thumbs up on everyones comment and the apperciation for all the music and Rapture I have to say. We the fans are the True Rapture Family. Who else has so much love for their fellow fans. I wish I could live in Rapture with you all.

  • I love how the music fits so perfectly in Bioshock. It doesn't overshadow the game, but rather, perfectly syncs with it. This song is an example of that.

  • Does anyone have the URL to the alternate version that plays when u kill the houdini splicer triggered after jumping off balconies to the plasmid in Fitzpatrik's piano hall???

  • one thinkg that i didnt like about bioschock two was so much of time was sepnt with little sister gathering and after that a big sister fight, which u always knew was coming. After like the 6th little sister gathering i was getting rather tiresome of it. People seemed more "normal" in bioschok 2, they werent as insane as ryan or fontain. But hey that just my opinion. Wanted to know what happened to tenabaurn cause u see her briefy then she runs, to hide i dunno if she got out when rapture sank

  • @boffgirl play the DLC Minervas Den it shows her fate

  • I'd say sander is one of the most sane people in rapture, just has a big temper.

  • this game is the creepiest thing i have ever witnessed, and the songs are amazing, even though they send shivers down my spine whenever i hear them. there kind of calming in a weird way as well

  • -A man chooses, a slave obeys"

    - Andrew Ryan -

  • This song chills me, yet it adds to that atmosphere which really deepens the beauty of Bioshock. Its slightly calming as well, at first.

  • @TwilightWolf1231 Like everything good and enjoyable. Try to grasp every second of it!

  • Pros and Cons of Bioshock 2:

Pros: You get to play as a big daddy. You get to watch Lamb die (if you killed at least one other NPC, of course)

Cons: The main enemy sucks. Terribly. There is no Cohen. Ryan is only heard in Audio Diaries. There's no Atlas, there's no Fontaine... I could go on with this, couldn't I?

I'm not trying to say Bioshock 2 was a bad game, it isn't in the slightest -- but the characters in Bioshock 1 were just so much more... believable. The setting... so original.

  • @LoyalMercenary I disagree that playing as a big daddy was a good thing. It was interesting, but it really ruined the immersion. Actually the lack of immersion was the main problem with Bioshock 2. The pacing was made awkward by the nearly required 'defend the little sister system' and pacing bits. Lamb didn't have a particularly coherent philosophy other than the concept of 'the family'. The music was not particularly well done. But most of all the plot was completely transparent...

  • @scythian0528 I agree the plot was pretty see through, but I found lamb's speeches poingant at times and rather entertaining. It seemed like they had big plans for this game but had to cut them out because of time contrsaints. They should have just taken the VAVLVe route and held it back for a little bit to finish everything up.

  • @scythian0528

...The music was once again scored by Garry Schyman...it was on par with the original BS..not sure what your smoking.

  • @REBELMEDIAVIDEOS By music, I don't mean original compositions, I am referring to the little tidbits of period pieces, like "Under the Sea" and "How much is that doggy". I am not even necessarily referring to the music, but brilliant done tapes like Cohen's "the Wild Bunny" There doesn't seem to be the same amount of character depth, with cohen you can see his mind gradually degrade from his lack of attention and audience. With lamb, you just have a sort of cultish psychiatrist.

  • @scythian0528

    Yeah, i'll give you that.

  • @LoyalMercenary it wasn't developed by the same developer that's the problem. irrational games made bioshock 1 perfect and hopefully they will do the same to bioshock infinite

  • @darkchaser25

Great game, but far from perfect. Many many flaws regarding the mechanics of gameplay. Hacking system was trash, no dual wield which made for very irritating fights. Less enemies, and less engaging boss battles which made for slower pace fighting. Weapons for sub par to the 2nd game. It is a great game yes, I will give you the story was better, however thats what all the fan boys of BS 1 cling to, the story. past that, the game had many flaws that were fixed in the sequel.

  • @LoyalMercenary you're absolutely right. Sofia lamb was a terrible excuse for a villain and she was very very annoying

  • @darkchaser25 i hate her more then the bioshock 1 villains simply because she is responsible for killing delta... twice. that and for what she did to sinclair. she actually gets to do a lot of bad stuff, but she just doesn't have the same kind of awesome feel that the bioshock 1 villains did. she seems too crazy were as atlas and ryan were corrupt.

  • @whichDude I rather liked her. She had a bit of the psychopathic man-child in her with her veiws of how to help the entire word. She could only come to those views by being the way she was during the entire game. She never has to struggle to survive and she keeps herself clean of the dirty work. She sits high on her pedistal and never needs to speak a word if she doesn't want to. She's a plotter in the name of a concept of good that went pear shaped and rusty.

  • fly down little moth

  • I'm having trouble understanding the "wow, you're a girl and you like Bioshock/any video game ever?!" comments from guys. And whenever I see a comment posted from a girl that's all, "I'm a female and I like [video game] :)" it makes me want to punch an anthropomorphism of my gender in the face. You are not any more attractive/awesome just because you have a sex organ which is in the minority in the video gaming community. Seriously. Would you kindly go reconsider your values? Rant over. Sorry.

  • @TheSpareohs Well I can't speak for everyone else here buy I'd rather have sex with a person who has a sex organ which is in the minority in the video gaming community.

  • @jabbascript Please kill yourself and never repopulate the earth, thanks.

  • @Sniper647 What Earth are you living on? Because the one I'm on is already populated, dumbass.

  • @jabbascript I'm saying never add you flawed seed to this dying planets gene pool, you sub-human scum.

  • @jabbascript I'm saying never add your flawed seed to this dying planets gene pool, you sub-human scum.

  • @Sniper647 Please explain why you think I'm a horrible person.

  • @TheSpareohs I am not sure why gender even comes into it. Good rant though.

  • @TheSpareohs Yes. A thousand times yes. Man, I wish I was smart enough to have put those words together for myself, whenever the need arises to say them. The most I can muster is, "NURR YOU'RE DUMB." You spoke my mind. :D

  • @tigersenamon No, you are! I was just being overly dramatic in mine, so yours is probably more effective and doesn't make you seem like you need to see a therapist for occasional outbursts. Besides,if I were ever in a situation like that I would just not say anything and be awkward. So, y'know, at least you say something? Haha.

  • @TheSpareohs Well thank you for sharing your gender and love for playing games with us anyway. =|

  • @zeldafreak701 Ever missed the point of a rant?

  • @TheSpareohs Dude You've got more than right! You should be Jesus!

  • @hatsuharu97 You're a fucking idiot.

  • I Can't Believe How Amazing This Is. Speechless.

  • Hmm...I noticed the female comments previously. Yes, we can appreciate amazing games like this. Ones with such an...immersing plotline, with wonderful music and amazing characters. A deep analysis of the anarchic-utopian society, lost...

Great game. I can't get enough of these video-games, ones with such great stories. Fatal Frame, the first few Silent Hill. All amazing. =)

  • Bioshock is the most fucking legit game of all time, and the game music kicks ass. People dont know good games when tey see them anymore * cough cough COD*

  • 3 parasites got their eye on Rapture, and we got our eyes on parasites...

  • the music in this game is somethin else, best game music I've heard, imo one of the reason's this game kicked so much hiney...my hiney is literally begging for mercy right about now

  • this the psycotic way of well dance

  • greatest game ever

  • The three aprentices of Sander Cohen disliked this

  • @cassiegb365 sorry I never meant to brag : )

  • @palkia1583 so do I and I never inteneded to brag that I was a girl

  • @blackcore11 wow you're the second person to ask me to marry them

  • -sigh- Another girl posted a comment on a video game related video. "I have a vag, and play video games, this makes me uber awesome!!"

Guess what, I'm a chick too. What's it matter? Girls play video games just as much as guys. I wish people would realize that just because a chick knows how to pick up a controller and play, doesn't make her special. Does it for guys? No. So why should it if a girl plays? No offense to anyone. It's the same with music. "I'm like 16.. but I love The Ink Spots!!!"

  • @cassiegb365 You have made my gender proud :'D thank you.

  • @DeMeNtEd1408 Not a problem. :]

  • @cassiegb365 omg i love the ink spots to and rofl i am also 16 ( my youtube acc says i am older but nvm...)

i love all these tracks from bioshock a lot but nobody from my school and class understands me :( but idc i dont need understanding of other people. Tough, i also like other old jazz music that comes in bioshock ( 1 and 2) and bioshock presented me this kind of music for the first time and now i am addicted to it :)

  • 3 people their battery of their hearing aid is empty :p

  • @cassiegb365 INKSPOTS YES :D... Female gamers equivalent to male gamers, NEGATORY MY FAIR LADY.

  • @Palkia1583 yea! Even my little sisters dress up like little sisters and I make their Adam guns

  • @kittykat12387 Thats really cool and I myself bbelieve anyone can play video games

  • I know I'm like obsessed with the big sisters : )

  • @kittykat12387 yeah they are cool but I like Subject Delta better :)

  • ........ A SLAVE OBEYS

  • @tundrafrog1124 lol finally someone notices my comments

  • @megakirbysanchez I love bioshock and im a girl it's the most amazing game in the history of gaming

  • @kittykat12387 marry me

  • @kittykat12387 Wow one of the very few girls who can truely appreaciate Bioshock

  • @kittykat12387 marrie me.

  • I miss sander in Bioshock 2.... He was my fav character

  • god... all quotes are beautiful in bioshock series

  • The only problem about this game was that it was far, far too easy. We had it all pumped up that Sander Cohen was this diabolical genius guy who was fucking amazing, but when you finally do get to fight him you realize that he actually sucks. A crossbow bolt or two drops him like a sack of potatoes.

  • @brainwasher9876

    Cohen's just another squishy Splicer.

  • Bioshock is quite honestly the greatest game I have ever, and hopefully ever will play...amazing shooter.....amazing atmosphere.....and as evidenced here, amazing soundtrack.... Cod, Halo, Cod, Halo....da- da- da- da- daaa...time was you could get something decent on your Gaming consoles...but the developer has a duty....to amaze and wow the gamer....so say goodbye to those two blowhards....and 'Hello' to an evening with Bioshock....

  • @MegaKirbySanchez It was good, but I've played better.

  • @someranclomguy What are you, some f**cking doubter? lol jk, opinions are opinions, what makes the world go round.

  • @MegaKirbySanchez Hopefully? You mean you don't want to play a better game?

  • @MegaKirbySanchez You mean: An Evening with Sander Cohen.

  • @MegaKirbySanchez I <3 Halo and I think Cod is ok, but I would say Bioshock is definitely more of an imaginative and creative shooter.

  • @MegaKirbySanchez Wonderfully put sir.

  • @MegaKirbySanchez I agree with you all the way, and the moral choices it makes you decide make it from playing a game, to being apart of an amazing story. my friends dont understand how I like this game..... but then again there those cod assholes who only play cod and dont know that there a TONS of other great titles for xbox 360.... like Bioshock :D

  • @MegaKirbySanchez

... And the young Fitzpatrick will be the next tester of Halo, Cod and the other retarded console crap ... Otherwise, what a great thoughts. Neither Sander Cohen couldn't be more poetic : )

    Happy New (console-free) 1959, Rapture!

(Join us the Midnight Masquerade at the Fleet Hall.)

  • Say "Hello" to an evening with Sander Cohen...

  • The ice man fucking cometh.

  • screw you 3 fucking doubters

  • "Son of a bitch........ left me to freeeezzzze." my favorite line in that level

  • "FLY AWAY LITTLE MOTH!!, FLY!!!"

  • What's with the sudden ending?

  • -likes Sander Cohen-

  • A man chooses, a slave obeys

  • @Alejandro831 No! *throws Golf club*

  • this is by far the most disturbing piece in the game

  • @mrchainsaw77 have you heard "Step into my Gardens"?

now that is a disturbing song...

  • @mrchainsaw77 how can you say this is disturbing? this one of the beautiful pieces in the game.

  • The Wild Bunny by Sander Cohen: I want to take the ears off, but I can't. I hop, and when I hop, I never get off the ground. It's my curse, my eternal curse! I want to take the ears off but I can't! It's my curse! It's my fucking curse! I want to take the ears off! Please! Take them off! Please! *Breaks down sobbing*

  • It calms me down and makes me sad... :(

  • 2 doubters.....Be warned little moths your time is limited

  • @jackram2h2 Sadly, there are now three doubters. I think we need to call Sander Cohen...

  • @jackram2h2 F**king Doubters...

  • do you kow who i am?

IM SANDER FUCKING COHEN (big daddy rush) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • lol 2 doubters will be tied to a piano and get blown up

  • @silentwulfsfan Bioshock 2 was unique in it's own way... while the story and music in 1 was way better, 2 had more emotions in the playthrough and better endings, plus you got to see a darker side of Rapture. I agree 2 wasn't as good as 1, but calling it shit is seriusly retarded.

  • @tracker113 At least when you're going to call something retarded, write "seriously" correctly.

  • The artist's job is never done. The minds of the followers can be entranced in the splendor of the masterpiece, but there will always be doubters. Doubters! The ignorant souls that toss aside the artist and his creations much like the Atheist tosses aside notions of God and His creations. Is there a God? Is the artist a man of deeper understanding, or simply one that hopes to please an audience with his meaningless efforts?

It's all the same to the fucking doubters.

  • @FostersNation

So, you want to argue that? Show me where this god is, and perhaps consider that meaning does not only come from a creator. Deeper understanding comes from questioning, searching for evidence, not calling it sacred and being done with it. Is not believing in the unseeable....ignorant? I think, no.

  • @Billymaysfan6837 Merely trying to spark up some philosophical debate, my little moth. Questions are the basis of many a society, that fact is undeniable, but there are some questions better left to the imagination to solve. And the imagination, my friend, is the very foundation of the human mind as we know it. Are we sure that all of our information of civilizations past is accurate? No, but we assume it to be.

Is there meaning in an artists piece? There is if we so perceive it to be.

  • @silentwulfsfan

BS2 was AWESOME. You may not be able to beat a classic but you know what, it is still awesome. :P Each game has its strengths.

  • Screw you! Screw all you Fucking doubters! I'm Sander Fucking Cohen!

  • would u kindly?

  • This is my favorite soundtrack piece from BS1.

  • ASUMING DIRECT CONTROL, whuld you kindly give ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.

  • two doubters will be blown up

  • MY MUSE IS A FICKLE BITCH WITH A SHORT ATTENTION SPAN

  • "You think you have memories.

    A farm

    A family

    An airplane

    A crash

    And then this place.

But did that plane crash...or was it HYJACKED?

Hyjacked, by something less than a man.

Something designed to sleepwalk through life, until they were awoken by a phrase, spoken by their kindly masters?"
