NO f**k you, you stupid asswipe! iBut I ain't mad at you, i used to be YOU! I have turned the corner on this Lance Armstrong saga, and in a very short time YOU will too. Lance DID dope. The evidence is out there, it's been out there for years, WE just would not listen or believe, but the truth is getting closer and closer ans closer...just listen...
@videolover61 Old news! If Lance had doped, the whole peloton doped. That still makes him the best of all dopeheads on the tour. So whats the problem?
Not old news, but "true news." What's the problem? If every cyclist dopes, then our sport is primarily is dishonest...it was not that way in the to 70's or 80's till EPO and other sophisticated drugs came along. It's all so systematic. There's always going to be dishonest athletes, but when you can't trust even the top guys, it's disapointing...but then againth, this whole world is a dishonest to the core...
@videolover61 Yes it was that way in the 70's and 80's. They didn't take EPO, i give you that, but they did take other things like cocain and other drugs. There was a number of drivers that died during the races cause of the drugs they consumed before the races.
It's because of the lack of character of many people in sports that this is a problem. People have too much, and in many cases have gotten it too easy in most cases...that they don't respect it. To set your own sport on "fire" cause of doping is so stupid. The corruption is on all levels of the sport now. Folks from top to bottom are just straight up lying!!!
@videolover61 Well, do your research. Athletes always doped. That's just the way it goes, when you get money for winning. They had EPO in the 80s. Before that they were all pumped up with steroids and amphetamines. Read Fignons and Anquetils reports. Maybe Obree was the only guy who never doped, but because he was no professional...
oh I do my research. I have no illusions about none of this "super athelete" stuff. Matter of fact theres a very good Wiki page dedicated to "doping in cycling." It goes way back. Incidents you never even heard of. Look it up : )
voll geil gib mal bei *laber kein scheiss, nervt nicht rum und VERPISST euch* deinen namen ein dann steht da :geh arbeiten und hör auf zu träumen .. ihr abzieher !
@foreignercatracho It is very easy to say that behind a computer screen, and when you are not competing in a final time trial, that defines how your tournament ends! Bike fails in time trials is not not tolerated by anyone because literally seconds can define you win or not. His bike SHOULD work, and not be a piece of crap that breaks down in the middle of the time trial! Its not cheap to make such a bike and having such a bike fail on you when you need it the most? THAT is what makes you upset!
@floodedkyro117 It's not the TV, it's the breakup in the images from the filming itself. Filming a bike race like the Tour de France is a very difficult job, but thank goodness they caught this on their television- I can imagine how frustrated Riis must have been, but one man pains derives another man's pleasure :))) I laugh every time he throws the bike and Duffield says "OH! ..."
It was actually a resting pulse of 28 bpm, which isn't too unusual in the world of sports. I've played a lot of basketball in my time, 33 years old now, and my resting pulse was less than 40, easily. I also have a rather chubby friend who plays sports, and his pulse was even lower than mine, for some odd reason.
that is absolutely impossible my friend, it´s not usual less than 40bpm only cyclists or some athletes. Your pulse can´t be less than 40bpm only playing basketball. 2 possibilities you are one of the greatest athletes in the world or you have some ill that can be also possible too, be careful.
Ok, Lance didn't use EPO, the point of having a team in the tour is to keep the leader of the team fresh for the critical stages. Armstrong had a great squad to protect him and keep him in good position
Pharmstrong was more jacked through the roof than Riis.
You have to compare era to era. indurain had close to 530 watts sustainable power and Pharmstrong had about 495. Pharmstrong and Indurain would have been neck in neck at eachother's doped peaks. However, drugs and method possibilities vary from era to era.
I've done lots of em' I still race as a cat 1. Ha, And I'm going to be 38 years old!
Lance had a very strong team the whole way though with the Postal/Disco/ Astana "program" and he spent very little time alone thats true...
But on a final climb thats 45 minutes long at 8%, its sustainable power per kilo that wins. As such in flat INDIVIDUAL TTs... Provided the guys are all well aero'd out.
Now a sprinter can win on less VO2 capacity and aerobic power, but they are dragged by others.
A winner of the tour said himself it would be impossible to even finish the 3 weeks without doping. Even E.Merckx was on EPO(it wassnt banned at that time however)
aight guys..liek the dude said lets stop talking about doping and stuff like that. he threw his bike because he was pissed off. if you have a failure, your supposed to give the rider a whole new bike, thats why they are on the car. totally understandable
i feel the same when my bike fcks up. these thoughts go through your mind ''i put all the effort needed into cycling, and i cant even fckin have a bicycle that doesn't fck up, i fckin give up!''
Their all doped, the drug testing is corrupt. The tests are designed by the doping doctors and the internal testing is like an expensive drug dealer. Gene therepy makes it impossible to have controls. WADA and all other controls are a joke at this level.
stfu. armstrong, pantani, ulrich, indurain and all the other great bikers, were all on juice. If you want a clean sport, then start watching pool or some other sh1t.
i dont feel sorry for mr 60%, i dont like riis, im 34 and i remember him when he was just any rider, i think its funny that 2 riders get put out of his currant team he manages for the very same thing that Riis himself was suspected of, and now basso is riding with USPS,i just dont care for riis and i wish some one would bring this point up to him, you know, how mr 60% can fire people of the team for having high % themselves.
