  • I wish i had an RC Heli :(

  • Please help i just bought a solo pro rebranded and have no training gear . I have flied three channel helps for a while and can't get use to the controls

  • how many channels has the heli ?

  • @2xdxdxd 4

  • @MikeysRC hey buddy where is your other video that you talked about in the beginning? the one that teaches you the throttle control. thx. you cool man

  • @ninadbhatt Google search for "learn to fly rc helicopter" and then go to the page on my website that has all the vids in order.

  • thumbs up for sign language

  • i dont understand what makes it 6 channel i can do the same with my 4 channel

  • BUY RC HELICOPTER AT BROOKSTONE

  • can u tell me Whr can Buy RC heli ?? pls

  • @LIckyNoYTy xheli (DOT) com

  • you can buy them at RED 5 tk max and others

  • @LIckyNoYTy

try e bay pretty good for these

  • Very good video. Thank you !

  • scoot scoot

  • i have bought a new rc helicopter yesterday it was no complained model. after after 1 day its upper is not working can u please help me sir?

  • @TheMultiassassin666 Mayb be bad motor. Switch motor wires with other motor so see if the motor starts again.

  • Any advice on reparing the training wheels. I have already broken mine, but they seem to be cheaply made rods. Can I replace them with something better or just splint them up?

  • @Antifraud Yeah you can splint them with zip ties and BBQ skewers. I would stock up on the training gear kits. at $6 it's way cheaper to break them than other parts on your heli.

  • Shuang Ma Double Horse 9101: Want to upgrade the weak 650mah battery. Recommendations? And will tehy swap-out without modifications? Thanks.

  • i love how you say helicopter!!

  • @rcflux Thanks I practiced for like 5 days before I was ready to say it for the camera.

  • Hey mikey. This is the best tutorial (I have ever seen. I have a solo pro and I ordered a honeybee v2. If you do have a hbv2, please make a tutorial on it. if not, tell me which heli I should upgrade to

  • @felixthemaster1 Thanks for the feedback. I reccomend gettign a Trex 450 clone. Can get them all built RTF on ebay for $200

  • I just realized, the way you control an rc heli on a remote, is the same as how you fly a heli in Grand Theft Auto.

  • These are just fantastic - do you have kind of a syllabus somewhere? I want to make sure I'm watching the videos in the correct order, and that I don't miss any.

  • @jon780 Go to this page on my web site W w W .mikeysrc (DOT) c0m /RC-Helicopters-Learn-To-Fly-Video-Series.html

  • what channel is the helicopter you use ?

  • @narutobboy This is a 4 channel helicopter.

  • @MikeysRC Ah i see, thanks for replying if its not to much could i ask you what you think about 3.5 channel helicopters. I Swear this is the last question LOL

  • @narutobboy I think they are pretty cool. I like the ones that have the tail rotor pointed up. But these aren't really good training helicopters. I only consider 4 channel helicopters trainers.

  • @MikeysRC Ok thanks allot man your Opinion is greatly appreciated!

  • @MikeysRC if all these moves can be made with a 4 channel then what other movements dose the 6 channel add ? I'm curious.

  • @leefuji Flying inverted and being able to bank the helicopter WAY more than a 4 channel heli can.

  • @MikeysRC oh ok but technically a 4 channel gives you all the real heli maneuvers (up/down,left,right.forward/backwards & rotation) .. btw great educational videos.

  • @leefuji Basically yes. As long as there is no wind and you are not trying to fly agressivly then then the controls are just like a 6 channel heli.

  • Can u pls upload how to fly a 2 chanel RC helicopter

  • @Ajroxx008 Sorry no.

  • Can u tell how mach we have to charge the helicopter

  • whats the best outside copter on a budget please

  • @1killerbilly Get the largest coax xheli dot com has that you can afford as I don't know what your budget is.

  • @MikeysRC thanks

  • This really could not be more simple. To hover a helicopter, you must push the applicable control in the opposite direction to the movement of the craft.

If it goes down, you push up. If it goes left, you press right. If it twists, you twist it in the opposite direction.

It's the exact same motor control we humans use to balance on our feet. I would call it "Oppositional Compensation". ie, Balance is achieved by the detection of an imbalance which is compensated by an equal opposing force.

  • Hi Mikey I appreciate very much your videos. I have just put together a 450 heli just following your instructions and I m gratefull that you use your time to help and teach other people like me who wants to get into the heli world.

    Cheers

  • i have a propel rc helicopter here and it doesn't have any left and right on the left stick. And it moves forward and backward by itself and it is brand new. Is it a bad model because your remote seems better.

  • Mikey, I've been following ALL your lessons, including how to build a Trex Clone 450. Believe me when I say that without someone like you putting the time and effort into these videos, I would have NEVER stayed in this hobby! When I stumbled on your 450 build videos, I was SUPER excited to order parts and get going! I've been obsessed with all this stuff since I started watching your vids. Believe me I'm not the only one who appreciates all you've done for us newbie enthusiasts! Keep up the awe

  • @ShibbyMcT Could not of said it better my self !

  • Thanks a ton MikeysRC, Pay no mind to the basement trolls like Clearedtoland these guys create nothing and do nothing... they spend there time trying to tear down what others have done. Great job and thanks again.

  • MikeysRC thanks for all the techniques and such it helped a lot

  • Ok my trolling comments :-P Helicopters don't have rudders they have tail rotors (in the real thing we just call them pedals) !

Cyclic is pronounced "siklic" with a long first i !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I appreciate what your trying to do.

  • @ClearedToLand7 The reason I don't say PEDALS is that there are no PEDALS on the transmitter.....at least that I can see. ... So to instruct those new to RC flying (Not flying REAL helicopters) I'm telling them to use the RUDDER control input on the transmitter.

  • @ClearedToLand7 OK I have tons of respect for the fact that it looks like you are a real helicopter pilot. However I have no respect for lame arse trolling comments related to enunciation / pronunciation =).....BTW if you scroll down a tad you'll see you ain't the first to mention that so 0 "trolling points" for originality for you. Should we really start discussing how things should be pronounced in the English language?.....you are from Ostraileier right? :-P

  • @MikeysRC wow, really took offence to that did we? Sorry about that. I even started the fact that it was a trolling comment to make it sound like I was giving friendly advice. But since you think that I'm really a troll (when that's far from the truth) then how about stuff it right up where the sun doesn't shine and keep flying your pathetic RC helicopters why I get the real thing and the real women whilst you pretend. Trolling enough for you? Thank you and have a great day.

  • @ClearedToLand7 OH NO...BOO HOO you told me to stick it where the sun don't shine. I'm gona go cry now =(. Hey mate...here is some advice for ya. Don't dish it out if you can't take it. What's the matter did you have a problem with the truth in my reply.....nothing better to say then petty worthless insults? I don't need to prove my man hood by flying helicopters. Is it because you have such low self esteme and self worth that your only chance to get a Sheila is to say"Hey baby I fly helis"

  • @MikeysRC And what part of my reply says, "oh man stop it, I can't take it!" fck me. You wouldn't last 30 seconds in a crew room. I really don't have anymore time for you. I actually said sorry, but since you are soooo stuck up your own arse I guess I'm wasting my time. Good luck with flying the real thing. Oh and for the record, I got married BEFORE I was pilot. So apparently no, I don't need to overcompensate. By the looks of your offence replies to others, YOU are the one overcompensating!

  • @ClearedToLand7 - said "...what part of my reply says, "oh man stop it, I can't take it!" It's implied in the way you are overacting. What does my ability to physically defend myself(which you have no knowledge of) have anything to do with flying? If you really meat that you were sorry then you wouldn't have told me to stick head up my arse. Also what was the point of telling me that you get "real" women? Again, has nothing to do with flying. HA, and you say I'm the one overcompensating?

  • @ClearedToLand7 - said "By the looks of your offence replies to others,..." Do a little more trolling on my videos and comments. You will see that any time there are "offence" comments like this it's when someone leave a "know it all" comment on my videos and acts as if it's their god given right to leave such comments and not have their facts and logic challenged. I know my numbers and any one who has a problem with me is clearly in the minority of about .01%. Makes you wonder about them.

  • @ClearedToLand7 I'm working towards flying REAL helis too. But it's going to be for me and I'm going to fly where I want to and not where a socalist government tells me too.

I'm curious...how did you want me to respond to your orig comment? Like, "O gee thanks dude....your right there is no rudder".....O wait there IS a "rudder" stick on the transmiter nevermind that's one is out.

And O, gee, now that I tell everyone to pronounce it cYclic they will be much better pilots now. DURH HUR.

  • @MikeysRC A bigger man actually admits when he is wrong or made a mistake, instead of whining like a bitch.

  • @ClearedToLand7 Who is whining? YOU, were the one wrong about the rudder. Was I wrong aout the propronunciation of cyclic yeah but who cares. These videos have helped plenty of people and I can prove it with the emails and coments I have received. These videos were filmed with me flying by looking at the helicopter through camera and a set of low res video goggles on my head. I was flying, keeping the TX in frame and reading from my script all at same time so sooorey if I mispronounced it.

  • @ClearedToLand7 O, OK so basically you just wanted me to say. "Thanks for the correction. I didn't know that already. I was wrong and you were right." All this to what....boost your ego I guess?

  • You explain the the controls like it's hard to fly :) summerize of the video: 1st Get the controller in you hands. 2nd press the throttle and ohhh shit no no no wait .... refound!... nice vid :)

  • how to drift?!

  • First time I've seen this technique. Hope I never see it again!

  • @bowlegedokie No problem. Hey so whats a better way to do it?

  • I got one yesterday

  • Just ordered a Rogue 500 RTF can't wait to get it this is going to b great yes I am NUBEE LOL

  • YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE THE HELI IN YOU HAND WHEN YOU PLUG IN THE BATTERY WHY YOU ASK. THE HELI SHOULD BE ON THE GROUND LEVEL SO THE GYRO CAN initialize THAT THE RIGHT WAY

  • @macdaddy1600 OK TANK U BEWWIE MUCH

  • @MotorBros1470 O my gosh you are right. Thanks for pointing that out. I will stop now.

  • @MotorBros1470 HA!

  • @MotorBros1470 hey man these videos r for v.v. beggingers and newbies so if you watch him normally with a trex 450 clone mikey is very good and probly better than u

  • @MotorBros1470 fuck you asshole

  • you guys so noobies kakaka, I just bought a 36''inch long sky king and now im learning to fly. Thankyou for your video

  • hi mike

i have a 3 channel heli that im battleing to fly

cant find any clips to help could u help?

  • Thanks Mike for the teaching videos. I just got the Esky Big Lama for xmas...my training kit will be here tomorrow. I am following your videos to learn how to fly it. Thanks again for the lessons! Tami

  • do u luce your antaner or tie it up

  • Great tutorial!!.

  • hello mike

    i like your video"s a lot

i have a q for you what is the helicopter is the video called?

and is it realy that hard to fly a helicopter

i have ordered a syma s018 micro heli is that a good choise??

    please anser me ;)

    greets Rulezpker

  • @rulezpker I'm not familiar with the syma s018. THe helicopter in this video is an E-Sky Coaxial Comanche it's not that hard to fly.

  • @MikeysRC ive flown 4 different symas and they are good but the controls are different than the 4 channels because the rudder is on the right stick because they are only 3 or 3.5 channel

  • AAHHHH!!! you went out of the box!!!!!

  • @Halomaster1211 U R A BARNEY WEASEL GO AND LEARN TO TIE YOUR SHOES

  • lol practice box

  • goood vid now i m able to fly my helicopter

  • Very nice ..... Thanks Teacher.

  • Cool puppet XD.

  • Your stick prob is because your tx is set up mode 1 meaning the elevator and rudder are on left side , this is a 3d set up . mode 2 is the more common set up almost the same as aplane with blade pitch/throt and rudder on same side . hope this helps :)

  • its the same for the DH 9053 ?

  • Great video my Friend if people would only Practiced like this they could be better faster! keep up the good work.

  • good

  • channel???

  • seriously its pronounced "si-click"

  • ty great help :}

  • Thanks for the great videos.I'm building the 450, and these videos are very helpful.Thans again.

  • Scooting in a box is best . Thank you .Respectfully Greg

  • Thanks a lot for the videos! It would be nice to add numbers in your video titles, so we can follow the right order in an easier way. Keep up the good work!

  • my heli spins along with the rudder is it the trim

  • could be. Kinda depends on what heli it is.

  • @johnrigo if you have a coaxial heli (2 main rotor blades without a tail rotor) alot of those have gyros built into the receiver. If so, there will probably be a couple of adjustment screws on the side of the receiver.

1.) Fiddle with the one that says "proportional" turning the screw the opposite way from the direction the heli spins.

2.) Ttry throttling up and see if you made things better or worse.

    3.) Repeat

  • lolz

  • this is realy good for us newbes thanks man

  • hi, Your videos are awsome! Do you know any heli (cheap) which I can start to do stuff like that?

  • xheli . com has cheap Esky co-axial helicopters.

  • @estevida syma so10

  • Hi, I can see you answer questions, so here it goes, I bought a 4CH heli, but i can see that your control sticks moves in diferent way the heli, i mean, the right control stick moves the heli front/back, left/right directions, but my right control stick moves the heli front/back (and that is normal) but when I move it to right/left, my heli ROTATES to right/left direction, so I dont know if it is wrong

  • So what does the right stick do? Sounds like you have two channels mixed up. Send me a message to my Youtube account with a link to the helicopter you bought. Youtube won't let you post links in comments .

  • @MikeysRC i think he means hes got a right stick throttle transmiter.

  • i like these tutorials mike :D

but would you highly recomend going to a local flying field too? (seems a pretty obvious yes)

i have just aquired 2 walker E22 heli's from a fellow noob who though he knew better. hehe

  • If you can afford the monthly dues at a flying field then go for it =).

  • is it true that E-sky is just an imitation of E-flite?

  • No way!.......totally different company. I prefer E-sky myself. Nice products good prices.

  • one of the hobby shop here in my place said that e-sky is only an imitation of e-flite... i ask him about e-sky coz e-sky has much cheaper rc heli than e-flite.

  • If you are OK with ordering online I'd totally go for the E-sky stuff. I think the E-flight is overpriced. go to xheli or jaghobbies to buy your esky stuff. Tell jaghobbies Will or mikeysrc sent you =)

  • Ok LOL...if i say your name i guess youll recieve a discount *grin*

  • Actually Jim at jaghobbies does not know me . I have bought from him before and just want him to know who is sending business his way. Sorry no discount.

  • love the way this guy says hilicopter

  • Sorry I have a bad accent =)

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the tutorial....this tutorial is getting me on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cant wait to buy one :)

  • not first turn on transmitter and than plug-in the helicopter. it's the other way around :)

  • On many RC aircraft if you turn on the plane, helicopter etc. first it will go berserk because it has no transmitter telling it what to do. Perhaps though yours is different?

  • Hi, can u please tell me if i can use this tx and rx on a RC plane? Early Thx

  • Yeah you could probably use them on a 4 channel plane.

  • thx for the reply=D

  • where do u get those rc helicopters plz tell me on my channel.

  • Excellent series of videos, it will help a lot.

  • MikeysRC if possible put up a training video series for collective pitch helis thanx. Great videos i wish i discovered them before i became an ace with my cx2 after lots of crashes.

  • I will be eventually getting to collective pitch helis. I will probably first do a couple videos with a fixed pitch helicopter though first. Do you have any questions regarding a collective pitch heli?

  • odin210 check your swash plate sometimes on these heli's they come apart. u can use ur finger to pinch it back together not a difficult fix, try it it, that should solve the problem. but you might still have to trim it.

  • TheRohBoat i dont recomment the coco-lama, if you are interested in a coaxiel heli i highly recommand the Blade CX2, if you are looking for a single rotor heli i highly recommend the Blade Msr eventhough the msr is a little small u'll be gald u got it. Both of these helis are really great and makes learning on very helpful. Oh once u fly coaxiel and u want to move up to a conventional single rotor u can definately do it but master your orientation, it will make it easy.

  • Which Heli should i buy? I'm looking at Coco lama

    from hobby lobby

After you use co-axle rotor, is it hard to switch to regular heli?

  • I have used the Esky Co-Comanche and the E-flight blade CX. Both are good coaxials. No, it's pretty easy to go from a co-axial to a regular heli.....especially if you got really good at the coaxial. They do fly different but the coaxial is a great trainer before the more advanced heils.

  • thax i am geting my frist heil soon.

  • Cool, good luck with it!

  • These videos are Great guy, You have saved me from stuffing my heli's in a closet and letting them collect dust. I received a Walkera 68B as a Gift from my wife last year and am terrified of crashing it. So I bought a e-sky Commanche to learn on and didn't want to crash that. And then i found your videos! I'm finally learning. Thanks I do have a question for you though my cyclic trim is all the way forward and that doesn't seem right to me. Does that sound right to you?

  • thank you! I'm quite intrigued. I want to go buy and try!

  • Yes, please do........it will help stimulate the economy.

  • this is a great video i am looking to buy the black hawk 450 the new one with the 6 chnl controller this helps a lot

  • Great. Let us know how you like the helicopter.

  • where you get the puppet

  • Thanks for your comment. Your vid helps, I just did exactly how you explained it. I am having fun. I have a esky Belt CP.

  • this is a very good training video i like it, you is very good

  • you are the best i have saved my heli. you should open your own school man

  • Cool, thanks man! Glad I could help.

  • this is the BEST training video I've seen so far. I like that we can see the thumbs on the tx whilst watching the heli respond.Clear and relevant commentary.

    Top Marks from me. Thanks

  • WOW thank you so much for the awesome comment! When I was learning to fly a helicopter I had many frustrating.....expensive moments and I want to make it easier for any new pilot.

I just finished filming my "side in" lesson. I'll be posting it soon.
