  • one word: PORN!

  • Wow really the best w201 video on youtube ever. Respect and big like =D

My car is an 190 E 2.0 with automatic gearbox and 122 hp from 1992.

    The best car ever made M E R C E D E S - B E N Z

  • @michi89nbg Yeah, I bet. i've always wanted one of these, especially the 2.3-16. But, having less money, I've considered a model like yours, the 2-litre, only I've considered a manual 'box. How does the automatic perform?

  • @AndersO1983 Well, the acceleration is good from 0 to 100 kmh in 10 sec, the automatic switchs all gears without problems (4 gears) the motor sound is very nice and the consumption is at 9-11 liters in 100 km. Automatic is better than manual. Accelaration is almost the same (+-0.5 sec). The top speed is at 215 km/h (downhill with my car driven!) I promise you won't be dissapointed with this great car. It's so safe (thick steel plate) as todays cars. I would pay 2000€ upwards for a good modell

  • @AndersO1983 I would get the manual instead of the automatic for many reasons. 1st.- it's the legendary getrag dogleg racing inspired tranny, 2nd.- It allows you to enjoy and communicate with this rev happy car, 3rd.- because the manual cars are more sought after in today's market and finally 4th.- because a true enthusiast will always pick manual over the auto version ;-)

  • I'm stuck between buying one of these or an E30 325i(S).

190E Costs more, but lasts longer.

E30 is cheaper, also bigger aftermarket.

  • @S190K Both great cars , got me a 323ti after the accident, the 2.3 16 and the 325 is (M technic) both look , drive and sound great. Sincerly, if i have the means, i'd get them both in my garage :)

    cheers

  • It really fast car since 25 year ago.

  • I just love that Car!!:)

  • Good driver, allways using indicaters

  • see my 190 e on my chanel it's very nice

  • Nice man. Everyone should make a real tribute video for their cars. Im gonna do this with my 2.3-16.

  • It appears that you have good attitude to handle those carbonjunks in your exhaust manifold :)

  • Chouette conduite !

  • The beginning of the video belongs in an action movie..

  • Superbe, je regrette vraiment d'avoir vendu la mienne...

  • 1:19 niceee!

  • It may not stack up to many of the cars today but the feeling of driving these cars is amazing. Love my 2.3-16v

    Merci pour tes réponses ;)

    ++

  • @TEAMGT5SLR

  • Turbo sounds nice.

  • Wonderful car, we can't do it with a classic!

    Yours was very beautiful.....

    I am buying a 300 E, I love these cars.

  • The best looking Mercedes of the "older" bunch EVER

  • She's a beauty.

    Greetings, a 230E owner.

  • nice sound nice car love the lil 4cil i,m planning on buying a c36 or a 2.3 cossie like this

  • @fordcrossie

Both are great cars actually, C36 is brutal but less adapted for small country-side european roads, where the cossie is fun!

    Thanks

  • Great video! The car sounds absolutely fantastic!!

What modifications were done to the car?

  • I have a tuned morris ital ( 1982) with webber carbs and snotbox exhaust that WILL eat your car for breakfast, meet on the underpass next thursday and you will be defeated ;-)

  • cheapest 16valves in Norway goes for 10000 euros. I will own a w201 16v somethime. all i got now is the 2.0 litre!

  • great video!!!

  • Man I want this as soon as possible no jokes. I want the body kit, not so much fass but just the right type like its stock body style

  • This is a great tribute video, driving the car it was ment to be driven, loud engine, no STUPID techno music....

    Great car, great vid!

  • bloody hell. thats a beauty!! i wanna own one of them one day O.o what they cost? what kinna power they pumping out? reply please =] Thanks dudes

  • hey man, thanks for your comment. These are the sporty benz from the eighties. Upper engine developped by cosworth. The 2.3 16 gives 185 bhp, they rev up to 7000 rpm, and they're lots of fun. Bought it for 1000 euros with dead engine, installed a clean engine. They're worth 4000 euros in France for an acceptable shape. I unfortunately wrecked it few months ago with huge regret, i'm trying to find one as a replacement.

    Regards from France

  • damn nice car! 7000rpm is nothing to be sniffed at :P my father had an audi UR quattro 2.2 turbo and it revved to that, was so nice. but this car would be great! no turbo lag :P hehe

damn shame you wrecked it though :(

    good luck finding another!

    regards from Scotland

  • Good luck tring to find one like that at a decent price mate. I own a 16V myself in min condition. I DO drive her on the weekends so she can get some excercise. However, I never trash her like that ... gotta take care of these babies man.

  • Sure thing man, better take care of the babies, however since i was a kid i wanted to have one for its sporty side and lovely 80's look, that was a boring day i admit :) but i never enjoyed driving it like i do with my everyday car, cossie engine a little bit boring on low revs ;), that does not mean i don't regret hehe. Anyway, i see you live in the US, one good thing here is that you can find a decent looking and well maintained 16V for as much as 4000-5000€(6000 - 8000 USD)

    Best regards

  • LOL Nice tribute. Video started well one high speed pass would have been enough. I see people do the same thing with C36 AMG. Don't you people know these car care getting more rare to find because they get trashed. Take care of your Benz, trash the Hondas.

    My 2 cents....

  • Pushing the engine past 4k is being trashed? Own 4 cossies and have owned a C36. C36s arent worth much or anything too special and are boring to drive. Cossies love the high revs, especially my fully built EFI converted turbo Coz with about $15K in mods and my daily driven supercharged cossie.

  • awesome 190e, hopefully getting a smoke silver one soon, gotta love classic 80's styling, all my mates like newer cars but the classics stay classics.

  • THE ONLY MERC I LIKE!<3

  • yea that sucks man i bought mine in 2003 with 43000 miles and was totaled in 05 when a female in a Cherokee drove head onto me going 55mph.. i won people choice at a hooter car show :)

  • ouch, your case is sad, i can imagine the anger !! glad u went out safe...

    regards

By the way, what are the monoblocks u were talking about?

  • god i miss mine:( i had brabus monoblock 5's and supersprint muffler

  • to be honest with you, i miss it too, i slammed against 2 concrete poles, 2 weeks after this vid :(

  • Lol i never drive that way with mine lol sceared to break the baby , mine is from 1987 :)

  • TOP CAR

  • Cool video
