  • If you did not have a data plan, what functions of the gps would be rendered useless? are most of the points of interest etc stored on the phone or accessed through a data plan?

  • I have a new nuvi g60, my contract was up at at&t, so got for 1 penny. good phone for the money, but garmin needs to go back to the drawing board, to hard to navigate, there is no control of the screen backlit, have to use power button too much to operate the screen, if using in a car, bluetooth headset is mandatory,

  • can it play divx? can it play flash videos (ie youtube)?

  • track any phone learn how HOWTOTRACKMYWIFE-dot-com

  • love the fone. can you install opera mini or mobile to this?

  • Does the Nuvifone support TTS (text to speech)? For example, will it read out the street names, or just say, "turn right ahead"? Thanks by the way, and very good and thorough review.

  • yes it does.

  • neat review!! great job!

  • Good review mate.. covered all the features pretty well. You should have taken it for a spin to check out its GPS.

  • Linux

  • whats the operating system?

  • Linux

  • I see that you can't put music on (why would you since it's made for people in cars), no games for when you are waiting on somebody. what else it's missing.

  • What are you talking about? It has a decent music player and supports Bluetooth stereo. There could be games, but none are pre-installed at least.

  • @mobileburn could i put movies on this?

  • @Mouthmusician check the first two minutes of the video. "Music Player"

  • We don´t have Dairy Queen here so I had to google it to know what it is. And yes, he really seems to like it.

  • And yeah, I do really like Dairy Queen...

  • he really likes his Dairy Queen

  • I tend to always pick the same things when reviewing, it helps me keep track of what I've covered.

  • Thanks for the 2 part review. really comprehensive. Can always depend on mobileburn

  • Good job reviewing the device. I can't believe they're selling it on Amazon for only $149 but it's being sold for $299 at AT&T. What's up with that?

  • thats just how it always is. you can get any phone from any network cheaper on a 3rd party website.

  • I think this is a great device. The UI is very simple and yet useful. I wonder why they keep making complicated interfaces while simple ones are so much better. This unit seems to be very responsive also, that´s nice. Not sure about the price though, it won´t stand against the competition as a phone, it´s too expensive. But I really like your review, very well done. Thanks.

  • You're quite welcome.

  • Give it a few minutes to finish processing. It was shot in HD.
