@SokJuice Your idea that physics can be proven wrong is simply because it is mankinds obervations and we are fallible. God is not fallible. He created everything, but our minds could never fully understand everything he has created. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean its not true. As for being put to death....What good is the Bible if you have read it, but don't understand it? You need to ask God to help you understand it because you obviously don't.

@SokJuice I don't eat shrimp. I don't selectively interpret, I just read it and understand it as I read any book. What's there to interpret? It's a historical book of facts. But to understand how it fits into your life you need God for that. If you really want to find God, read it and ask him to help you, not hard to do. And Christians acting more like Jesus, how do you know they aren't already? Do you know EVERY Christian? And remember we can strive to be like him, but never will.

Correction, the bible says in 2 Tim 2:15 to study the word to show yourself approved, so watching this video only confirms that. You must also read/do the word, James 1:22. God's existence is clearly understood by the things that are made, Romans 1:20. In terms of escapism, this gen. embraces that because they don't want to be held accountable for their actions making them free to do what they desire!

A Calvinist could easily win this discussion by saying God only loves the elect. But I cant pretend I'm a Calvinist.

What I will say is that we are not children. We are mature adults who get to make a rational decision whether to accept or reject Him.

Also, many Christians believe that hell is defined as eternal separation from God, not as a lake of literal fire. That eternal separation from God is eternal torment.

One more thing-Heaven (eternal union with God) is the perfect existence only if everyone who is there is there by choice. If you were forced to be there itis not so great. So the best way to that perfect existence is through this existence.

I do believe in God. But, I struggle with some of the concepts presented to us. I'm honestly seeking answers, that make sense, of these *apparent* inconsistencies I keep running into. I've been told, God demands blood to wash away or cover sins..well..God makes the rules. I fail to see why commiting suicide is the only way he could bring himself to forgive us. God knows the future, and is perfect. yet, even he makes mistakes. SORRY he made man? Hence, the flood? Okay..God made a mistake. Got it

People on earth killed God (God could have stopped it because he is all powerful) but he decided that he would be an example by taking on everyone's sin (Bad doings) so that we who are guilty can come to God. In other words, we can't come before God because He is holy and we are dirty sinners. But Christ died for us to wash away that sin so we can come before God Spotless. He died so we can go before God. Okay, no disrespect meant. Honestly. But I just don't get it. I forgive people things all the time..no strings attatched. Why couldn't God? Why did he have to take on flesh, and let us KILL him, before he could show GRACE, and forgive us? If you think that God let us kill Jesus, then your problem might just be that you don't understand the Gospel. The cross is where God killed Jesus. He piled his wrath on his son, to crush him under the weight of the punishment we should get. This is the Substitutionary Atonement. The Resurrection is about the power of God to save us from death and hell (again, which we deserve). The Bible says that those that confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with their hearts that (cont..)

God raised him from the dead, will be saved. Literally, we become partakers of Christ's Death and Resurrection, and we are saved/ redeemed/ forgiven by our bodies becoming a temple of God. One is that Christ came to earth to live a life that could be recorded so that through this recording (The Bible) we could follow his example of living. As for dying, this is all to do with the payment of Sin is death. There is no other way to pay for sinfulness. And so we don't have to pay for our Sin, Christ decided to do that on our behalf so we would be free from Sin and be able to live eternally in heaven, He had to come to earth to do that

PS-When I said there were no historical books that tell what happens during the 400 years between the Old and New Testaments, I was referring to no "Books of History" in the Bible. Of course, there are other books that tell us what happened.
