jerry was packing more of a punch in jgb nassau 93 & dead nassau 94 / I had great seats for these last years. He seemed to get ill summer 94 & it was all strugglin man.
clearly the drummer is doing his best to upset Garcia. I guess sometimes you can't spill the milk no matter how hard you try. Garcia just flies away with the whole thing...
I've never underrated it-but I think the Dead did. I'd have given my left cojone to have seen one of the 4 (?) times the Grateful Dead did it. I've heard the tape from Buckeye OH and it just shreds. This is a great version too though.
I wish I could have seen Jerry play live. He died when I was five, and I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. Such is the life of a young deadhead I suppose.
miss my extended family ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much life has not been the same
Starts off a bit slow and uninspiring...but that changes pretty quickly....Pretty psyched if you were at this show just to hear it though, i know i was
Easily one of the most underrated Garcia-Hunter songs. Who's with me? I think this one and Midnight Getaway are the 2 most underrated songs Jerry wrote.
@rawkus1167 Agree about Rubin . Saw him do it in Palo Alto in 78 and Orlando in 91 - sorry but I think Jerry only wrote and put out about 3 or 4 really crappy songs and Midnight Getaway has got be the worst . with Run for the Roses a close second . sorry to be an opinionated asshole sometimes . Peace !!!
i wish i was alive when the dead was playing it would of been so awesome. all ive got is memories of my first dead song i ever heard, it was sugar magnolias and to this day i love that song and the person who showed me the grateful dead
I was at about every show Jerry did at the Warfield from 1989 to 1995. Seeing this is breaking my heart for Longing for just one more show. Man I loved Jerry. I saw him both times at the Electric on the Eel River shows. Perfect 10. From Big Jesse.
slipnutt you didn't remove all of them because I still see Toppersbazaar's political comments, however I don't see any of the comments criticizing him for leaving political comments in the first place. Like I said before Jerry looks happy playing with the JGB and that's all that really matters.
wow Toppersbazaar sure has a lot to say...some of it brilliant however spoon fed to him/her...some of it idiotic...either way- good for you for having an opinion...
How long would you be in business if all you got was "pure positive energy" or "loops of love"? Does the government let you pay your taxes and license fees in positive energy? or do they require cold hard cash?
I love the Music the boys have brought us but seriously, the comments I read when I scrolled down sounded like they came from mindless zombie cultists. JGB/Dead awesome , some of the more "deadicated" fans...creepy :/
HI SLIPNUTT!!! JGB BETTER Than the Dead! Psychedelic Gospel! Worship the book of Jerry, the next chapter of the holy Bible: Spirituality though Jerry Garcia! Listen to his voice cry! It is God speaking through him! Love Ruk!~

Hey does anyone know what the four triad chords he does at 7:10 are?
vogonsake 1 year ago
@vogonsake
I hear at least 3rd starting on the 1st string at the 12th fret; descending like so;
e,d#, c#,b. If they are triads, I am hearing c#m, B, F#, E. I think. That's a great solo!
