Not feeling pain is irrelevant when the bulls horn slices an artery....I'm not disrespecting these dogs and I know what they can do...

Though they can be rowdy, they are among the MOST devoted, loving, and trustworthy dog breeds available. This is not a fighting dog. Any dog has the capabilities to mutilate a human. Most animals do. Will we outlaw them all? As I previously stated, an owner aptitude test would be a much more responsible course of action to take.

Then the story changes, to say that the dog had attacked her in her sleep. First her ear and nose are injured, then her eyes and forehead. For those who don't understand, this is what pit bulls are... They were bred in the middle ages before guns to help butchers catch and kill cattle for food for the people. I disagree. Instead, owners of dogs should be made to pass aptitude tests to acquire a license for a more powerful dog. An ENGLISH Bull Terrier was bred to fight, yes, but proved poor at it and have since been bred for ratting, bull baiting, and finally as housepets. They are loving, loyal, and full of character. To drive such a perfect breed to extinction would be a horrible shame.

Yes, I would. Have you ever owned an English Bull Terrier? My father breeds dogs, my mother loves dogs, and I have worked in various kennels. Though they can be rowdy, they are among the MOST devoted, loving, and trustworthy dog breeds available. This is not a fighting dog. Any dog has the capabilities to mutilate a human. Most animals do. Will we outlaw them all? As I previously stated, an owner aptitude test would be a much more responsible course of action to take.

And as for the actual reports of the attacks, the story seems to be all over the place. First the girl was at a party, then it was said she was at a small get-together. Then the story changes, to say that the dog had attacked her in her sleep. First her ear and nose are injured, then her eyes and forehead. First the dog is a English Bull Terrier, then it is a Pit Bull Terrier. It seems to me to be more like propaganda.

Bull Terriers were originally bred for dog fighting. They then spread out to be used for ratting, and bull-baiting. So it would be one dog, to distract the bull- not fight it. That is what the dog is doing. Not fighting it, but distracting it so the man can escape.
These dogs have extremely powerful jaws- I have two and playing tug of war, the dog is easily lifted off the ground with the toy. Do you think you could support yourself with your mouth?
