  • that moment when we were young and our biggest dream was to be shoot out of the huge gun in the middle of the city....

  • なつかしい

  • 斬新wwww

  • fujiyama japan.

  • I still wish these guys were in Tatsu vs Cap in some form...*sigh*

  • neko unchi pepperoni! this show is complete and total rubbish!

  • Man, I cannot believe I am actually saying this...but I think I actually like the English version better. That's a first. Not that this is bad, but...I dunno. I mean, I honestly don't know why, cuz I shouldn't like the English one more, haha.....oh well.

  • отличная песня в оригинальной японской версии класс

  • Masters of fourth wall destruction

  • LOL. I like this anime. it bring me back to my childhood. A Lovely and memorable time. $ & !

  • I'm so going back watching this this takes me way back

  • 23 ppl are Linguine Ninja Dogs...

  • What's strange is in the English Saban version they refered "Seymour" (The "Evil" Advisor to the Emperor) as a "Rat" but in reality he was a Fox and how many rats have bushy tails???

  • @bigg34691

There are enough evil foxes already, maybe?

This was the first anime i ever saw, and even at 8 i could tell he was a fox. What I could NOT diescern was if he was organic or not.

  • @KitOnVideo When S.P.C was first broadcasted in Japan he was known as Ko'on-no-Kami a Prime Minister Fox who tries to overthrow the Shogun (Emperor in the Saban version) without sucess. But in the Saban version he was known as Seymour Cheese a "Rat" (the reason was when Saban Productions recived the animation from Tastunoko Production/Sotsu Agency they (Saban) didn't have the original scripts from the series and had to write new scripts from scratch.

  • @bigg34691 In the English Opening, They even referenced that they didn't have the original script. "As soon as someone finds the script, we might begin the show!" LOL

  • @bigg34691 And thank god for that

  • Tatsunoko and Capcom both fucked up for not putting KNT in TvC. They could have represented the 90's era on Tatsunoko side. Sad times :'(

  • @SonicX14 Don't blame Capcom, Niitsuma wanted to put KNT in TvC. Tatsunoko refused and wanted Speed Racer instead (WHAT A PURE FAIL!)

  • My big brother always showed these to me when I was a kid... Ah, nostalgia!

  • i could just watch those fucking dance moves for hours and not cease to be entertained

  • 22 people are Ninja Taco Dogs

  • i prefer the english one, but this one's also funny :D

  • @buttercremehonda

    Hey Americans do that too.

Ever heard of Sit Down Shut Up?

  • While the American version is funnier for a single viewing this one's far better as an intro/song you have to hear before every episode (especially back before we could just skip them). The American version really loses its charm after the first viewing, and is downright annoying after you've heard it a few times and the novelty (or nostalgia in this case) wears off.

  • I've never used these words in a sentence like this before, but here goes: "I think I like the American version better." Woah, that was wierd.

  • This makes me smile. :)

  • >THEY Need to DIGITALLY RESTORE THIS THING like They Did With DBZ anime.

    Neonic -The color- scheme. etc.*

  • Comment removed

  • 20 people are dogs.

  • @MrNorbert1994 25 people are NOT weeaboo scum

  • @CrankThe3rd Meh it's still funny and random, much like the show itself, so it's quite fitting.

  • American version is way better, this one just doesn't have those funny random nonsensical line's like "more fur than any turtle ever had!"

  • so did they have anything to do with pizza in Japan?

  • @xwcasperwx Yes, their base doubles as a pizzeria and they make pizza deliveries. What you see on screen is the same in both versions (aside from some scenes present in the original that were cut from the dub), the only thing that's different is the audio.

  • @xwcasperwx I think all they did was work at the pizza place, I've only seen a couple of the japanese episodes

  • Oh my God this is bad.

  • Of course, the first time I heard this song was in The Richard Kiel Experience.

  • 40 seconds to 1:06 Hey, listen, the pretty princess calls "Let's be informal", and let it be said That this time I must win at any cost Don't mind With digital creative skill Tomorrow will be a beautiful day! rest A time of the past A time of the future Edoropolis hysterics Are surely waiting, Hello! That's a skilled warrior hero A metal ninja with a tail
  • After much searching i found the english lyrics 0 to 20 seconds A time of the past A time of the future Edoropolis hysterics Are surely waiting, Hello! That's a skilled warrior hero A metal ninja with a tail 20 to 40 seconds Mr Kuma, Mr Hachi, everyone in the streets Want justice delivered (Teyandee!) Planning mania and destruction, a conspirator. Let's go, robo-cat!
  • yu-gi-oh abridged didnt lie! there is a show called the samurai pizza cats!!! im gonna watch it...

  • @iluvmeowmix1 Oh it's so freaking hilarious. When they bought the rights to it they didn't get the scripts so they had no idea what was going on. So the producer got piss drunk came back and sang the American intro. In a way it was one of the very first abridged series.

  • I knew this would be better than the dub, but I didn't think it would be catchier too.

  • how many seasons was this on for???

  • HAHAHAHA! I LUV IT but i still luv the american opening better

  • We need a translation. I only know a little japanese and none of them are sung on this song. Someone translate this song.

  • i like both Japanese & English openings.

  • @kl9977gmail Me too.

  • otto dokkoi kako otto dokkoi mirai edoroporisu wa hisuterii kitto matteta haroo zattsu hissatsu hiiroo shippo no haeta metaru ninja da yo kuma-san hattsu-san yokochou no mina-san ni seigi wo o-todokeshimasu (teyandee) inbou mania no kuromaku taosunda izayuke robo kyatto hora kawaii hime ga yondeiru (oo kurushuunai) to iwasumade koko wa hitotsu makecha naru maizo don't mind dejitaru shokuninkatagi ashita mo yoo! nihonbare
  • The show seems cool with this opening.

  • nice nothing like the english version but still awsome...

  • Amusing that we call it SAMURAI Pizza cats, when it was originally about Ninja...

  • well this beats the american opening by a landslide

  • aawww this version is so cute - funny - i like the dubbed for it's humor and this for its apparent sweetness.

  • Hehe, this opening is just cute and adorable. And an extreme CONTRAST to what we westerner's had as kids.

I do love the fact that for our version, the writers had no clue (due to having no Japanese scripts) so they just had fun with it and messed about. One of the best examples is our opening, as it was one of the writers who sung and recorded it... while completely hammered XD

  • 0:09

    Beautifull view of Edoropolis. <3

  • Japan has ninja (excuse me) samurai cats

Wile the USA has ninja turtles that are still popular today

    ONE-UP FOR THE USA ANIMATION!!!

    ... there's a first...(sigh)

  • × samurai

    〇 ninja

  • lol good lord make it stop >-< give me the dub opening now!!!

  • I bet the Japanese would be shocked that we Americans have such a loyal Samurai Pizza Cats fanbase.

  • very cute.

  • Why does the subtitle kanji at the beginning sais: ninja ?

  • I liked this opening so much I had to download the full version of the theme song and put it on my ipod :D

  • i still think this opening is better, out of either dub or japanese, this one is catchier

  • @happysamman

much more gentle and classy ^^

  • One of my fav. anime T^T

  • I like them both.

The American opening was trying to shoot a fish in a barrel when the way they made their dub opening....and they actually hit it.

  • Animutation flashback ... The Richard Kiel Experience.

  • @RubyCosmos I was wondering where i heard this from.

  • @Merkylicious Oh, thank God it wasn't just me who heard it there first.

  • @RubyCosmos I was just thinking the same thing. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's seen the Richard Kiel Experience at all. o_o

  • this, with the DBZ and Pokemon opening, is where i really like the English version better :D

though the Japanese SPC opening is pretty nice too ^^

  • someone please tell me what is the theme's name ?? i swear that telling it will make me shut my mouth (unless you guys tell me a wrong one)

  • what is the theme song ?? it makes me think this version is better that the english version (because i don't really like rap)

by the way 0:16 they are shaking butt ???

  • there's always that attraction to a different animal shit in children's cartoons

  • This is cute, the English version is hilarious, they're both winners in my book.

  • I'm sorry, this doesn't sound high enough, English version FTW

  • Meh, I like em both.

  • how is the english version better? It's sung by some retard that sounds like pee wee herman but just a bit deeper voice

  • I prefer the English version too. But this is catchy, haha.

  • This opening is missing my drunken Paul Lynde impression.

  • So gay!

  • arrg! what means "おっと どっこい"

    arrg! why i ask here!?

  • @HitmarkJ According to Google Translate, it means 'Oh hold on'. Which must mean like 'Ohh, hold on!' or something like that. I only know basic Japanese, sorry D;

  • @Ninjisy HA! thanks! Yeah, "どっこい" means hold on but that "おっと" was disconcerting me BUT! your answer inspired me to make a rush research, and i find out that "おっと どっこい" is an abbreviation of the expression: "おっと、どこへ行く?" (Hey where're you going?) that you yell to stop somebody's action or something like that. Now i can sleep haha!.

    Thank you! XD

  • @HitmarkJ That's interesting! Thanks as well! I'm learning Japanese so It's good to learn more ^^

  • i like both i mean he english is funnier and really cool sounding this is cool too

  • Hmm I find that the Japanese intro seems to be trying to take the series slightly more seriously whereas the English intro is more fun and all over the place. XD

  • @TheFinishSign because that's exactly how the shows are, in Japan, the show is actually serious, with a bit of comedy. In america, the whole thing is just a big satyr.

  • i don't remember much but, i think i have the three of them as toys back then

  • hell naw, the japanese version is wayy better and more catchy! its just goes better perfectly with the series. miss this show!

  • There's a flash-made animutation set to this song called the Richard Kiel experience. I watched it once and my sadistic tendencies compel me to recommend it to others.

  • Don't mind

  • Wow can't believe I forget about this. I use to watch this as a child when I live in Japan.

  • Who do you call when you want a pepperoni

  • American version is much more catchy, but this sounds rather nice.

  • i kinda like the japanese opining better that the american dont get me wrong i like the american version better i guess this version is more catchy

  • is this the same art director as mega man?

  • Look at speedy surechey's face 0:12

  • god that was awful

  • The Japanese opening isn't awful by any means - but the USA opening was better. I'd like to see an official DVD release of the English AND Japanese series.

  • Edolopolis :O

  • 17 People just got sent to prisoners Island by Usahime Tokusawa a.k.a Princess Vi.

  • Honestly the only time I can remember where the english intro out did the japanese one.

  • Cool opening theme.

  • American Show was better, even if the creators didn't know the diffeence between a rat and a fox. :p

  • @StrickenRecord Or that their ninja and not samurai. =P

  • @ssjup81 True, but I think that was intentional, cause "Ninja Pizza Cats" just doesn't have the same flair. :p

  • @StrickenRecord Probably. Ninja Pizza Cats doesn't have the same ring to it song wise. Oh man, what if they would've made them, Samurai Ninja Cats!! Nah...never mind. The show was drug-induced, but not that drug-induced. lol

  • The song is sooo lovely :3

  • Huh, this is actually the first time I like the dubbed opening better than the japanese.

  • @Kelekona I agree! This is the first time I prefer a dubbed version!

  • @Kelekona What about the Pokemon intro? :o

  • @Kelekona lul.

  • @Kelekona Nostalgia goggles tend to have that kind of affect.

  • anyone know the name of the song?

  • @Lyviathon Its called A Time for Beautiful Days (おっとどっこい日本晴れ)

To download it just search (おっとどっこい日本晴れ mp3 on google and chose the thrid result which should say enips on it!!! :) Then click download on the website!!!

    Have a good day!!!

  • i have never seen this anime before but for some reason it seems so fimilar and i feel like ive watched it before

  • i never think thre is anmime of this thank for upload

  • never saw this- i just remember the american version of the early 90s :)

  • Nostalgia, used to watch this when I was a kid.... if I have children nowadays, I wonder if they would love it?

Anyways, pizza, samurai and cats (well for folks who like cats anyways) what more do you ask?

  • yeahhhhhhh i like the Japanese version wayyyy better!

  • I like the English version, but I love the Japanese opening.

  • sad face...no pizza cat...

  • @XSouthXNightX You had cat ninjas in this version. Same diff.

  • When was this aired?

  • @OperationAnime262 February 1990 - February 1991.

  • the Japanese opening seems to be 100 times better then the English version then again i am of the opinion that 8 out of 10 animes get bastardized from their original intend to make them "kid friendly" which again in my opinion REALLY should not be done, IE: no name changes, pairing changes (like .turning two lesbians into cousins) removing swearing and things like that. dubers should translate it word for word and change NOTHING but again that's my opinion..lol sorry bout my rant XD

  • @seth2111 The English dub is a parody. The writers really had no idea what the actual episode was about when they were writing the script, so you can't really say it was edited for children...

  • @AndrewGurn my point is they dont need a script, they just need to translate the japanese script into english and leave everything else alone such as character names and names of places

  • @seth2111 Well in silly shows like this, literal translations are not always possible. Some jokes, like puns, are language specific. Some jokes are bound to cultural issues that may not make sense to a foreign audience. Unless the goal is direct marketing to a weeaboo audience, some concessions have to be made.. and let's face it, weeaboos are going to download the fansubs anyway since they are all about the GLORIOUS NIPPON MASTER RACE. Marketing to hardcore Japanophiles makes no sense.

  • 0:16 BUTTSHAKE!!

    -shot-

p.s. how do they fly if they don't have any rocket boots or anything?

  • @spotterdotter They actually do have jets in their shoes, which is how they glide across the ground. But they only actually fly when using their optional add-on equipment, which isn't shown in this intro. Do note however that starting at around 0:58 Yattarou is shown flying with the red jet pack on his back, which is something that is never actually used in the show, despite being a design feature on all 3 cats. It's likely an idea they dropped in favor of the aforementioned flight equipment.

  • does anyone know the true name to this anime like in japanese

  • Kyatto Ninden Teyandee.

  • @wadoichimoji Kyatto Ninden Teyandee.

  • Can anyone upload this with English translations so we know what they're singing?

  • the american opening is wayyyyyyy better. for the first time we win in their category yeah! america=1 japan=1000000000000000000000000 we're almost there guys lol.

  • @rangerjavi I like the Japanese opening way better than the American one.

  • @CyberLance26 Which aspect do you like best about it? The foreign language ur not able to understand, or the funny japanese writings you can't read?

  • @Ashikun I know a bunch of Japanese actually.

And even if i did not i would still like the Japanese opening better.

I prefer a nice song like this better than the silly American opening.

  • @CyberLance26 Weeaboo.

  • @UberUberLegend91 Loving America and American culture is normal but if you love another country and its culture your a big weirdo it seems.

  • @CyberLance26 eww no, why?

  • @CyberLance26 eww no, why?

  • @rangerjavi O really, go ahead and check out the US intro for Street Fighter 2V, and then the Japanese.

  • @premolatino well then that makes two better intros for the U.S. Spec, the japanese one was all lovey duby music, why I do not know especially for a street fighter anime, the U.S. was more suited and the music was much more dramatic and kind of action packed I want to say. U.S.=2 if any one else knows any U.S. Spec anime's with better intros and what not let me know.

  • @rangerjavi Bullshit, this one is WAAAAAAY catchier.

  • @ferretyluv and then at the of the opening they tell you physc the american opening is BETTER!! But whatever helps you sleep at night, I bet you believe everything japanese is better right? It's really not that serious and the american opening is catchier and goes better with the show, this one is like whatever fuck lets just make whatever for it the american will like better, right? NOT!!

  • @rangerjavi I've always just thought this one was catchier because of animutation.

No, I don't think everything is better in Japanese, like Japanese commercials. Totally confusing and nonsensical, even if you do know the language. The American Powerpuff Girls was also much better than Powerpuff Girls Z.

I guess liking British comedy also makes me a freak, right?

  • @ferretyluv You like British comedy? Thank you for appreciating our comedic material XD It doesn't make you a freak at all, if we British people can enjoy it, so can you!

  • @rangerjavi Oh, I also much prefer the American Pokemon intro to the Japanese one.

  • @ferretyluv I hope you mean the first season cause they got worser at a few moment

  • @dragongame2 Agreed. I mean, don't they have more like a thousand pokémon now?

  • @dragongame2 Of course I mean the first season. That's the one that everyone knows.

  • @rangerjavi were closer than that. We also got First of Pokemon and Digimon.

  • its nice

but wow, one minute and thirty seconds, opening credits, and chorus-verse-double chorus format song?

the japanese have not changed their style of opening themes for 20 years O_O

  • fucked up intro in japanese, american is better

  • @mrobserver81 Nop... I don't think so. Here in Mexico has using the "american" intro... really sucks !!!!

  • Yo de muy niño miraba esto.

Feliz dia del Niño! a todos los niñ@s en su dia!

  • Whatever you'll say, but English theme song just can't be stuck in my head like the Japanese opening :P

  • 101bijou, you will curse me to HELL? How dare you threaten a Samurai... Well? You are a man of great stature, you better get passed my Hitsugaya Sword...don't worry! I'll give you a 20 second head start and you better kill me quick. If not, then I will strike you down to the depths of Hell and that's a promise. :)

  • @CherryRed42 ... WOW what got himn so pissed off ?? just curios btw cool vid i use to watch the usa vers as a kid funny funny show! thanx for the vid!

  • ...anyone else notice that the entire time they never said samurai once but said ninja several times? i wonder if they were supposed to be the ninja pizza cats...

  • @BlazeDrgn Yup, the original title can be translated more or less as Cat Ninja Legend Teyandee

  • @tehredmage XD that just makes it all the more awesome, and sense... I always thought they were more like ninja's than samurai >_>

  • @BlazeDrgn Yeah, in the jap version they act more like a secret government police than superhroes or something. Their attitudes are more Ninja-ish

  • @BlazeDrgn

I noticed the same thing =,=
