This is a movie based on the future. Will we have the actual technology that this movie portrays in the fall of 2013? No; this movie actually takes place in 2020, so of course the filmmakers are going to advance the technology to make it look more realistic. You guys that believe this rumor are logically impaired. Also, if you actually research the Microsoft corporation, you will notice that the Xbox 360 has a 10 year contract. Which means any next gen tech will b released somewhere after 2015.

Consoles are almost always announced a year ahead of time. WE should have seen something by now.

Why would MS launch a new console the same year as a halo release on the old console. All signs point to 2013.

Halo 4 will launch for both consoles. and Ryse is a launch title for xbox infinity. it's entirely obvious the nextbox is coming this year. these consoles are ridiculously ancient. look at battlefield 3. microsoft isn't dumb.

There was no fear of cannibalizing xbxo sales when they announced the 360. They needed the 360 out in order to secure a lead against the ps3, and because the xbox was bankrupting them. They needed to kill it new console or no.

The 360 is making money hand over fist and MS isn't going to kill it any time soon.

The 360 is selling gangbusters, and they haven't cut prices in years. Anouncing the ps3 didn't hurt ps2 sales. At this point the people picking up consoles aren't the hardcore so knowing a new and expensive platform is coming isn't an impediment to sales.
