Uh, actually, no...Anything that is a bladed THROWING weapon is considered "Shuriken". "Bo" shuriken simply means it is a long, slender throwing blade, whereas the baisc term "shuriken" simply means, again, throwing blade.

Nice throwing! Only thing is, a beginner probably shouldn't start out throwing that close at a hard surface (tree). I'd recommend a soft bank of dirt or a big cardboard box. Most people who have muffed a throw at a hard surface have experienced the unsettling spectacle of the thrown object bouncing back at his or her head.

erm well not to sound like i know everything but this is kind of basic. screwdrivers have bad weight distribution. most screwdrivers weight is towards the handle. the metal itself i lighter. Also I can't very much judge you because this is all that I have seen of you, but you are very close to the tree's. Thats very easy to hit from close. Just a little heads up, not saying this to brag or put you down, just wanna help =P

A ninja star isnt really used as a ranged weapon but as a tool thrown towards the knees or face to damage the enemy long enough to attack and kill the opponent so its not really used from far away =D
