Corporate MTV is bullshit!! Denying him because of ratings but than saying they dont want to cause damage to his wheelchair?? They know what they're doing, they just do it for the ratings and put shows on like Tila Tequila and That's Amore'!
glasabi haha And no Im not making fun of him... You shouldn't pity him as he is the same as us but braver. PLEASE PURCHASE THE DOCUMENTERY AND HELP FIND A CURE FOR DMD BECAUSE PPL LIKE DARIUS DESERVE TO LIVE!!
I got to meet Darius at Winthrop University last night after watching his movie. It was truly an inspiration to see him go on that trip. It makes me want to get up off my butt and go somewhere. I never really heard of DMD until last night and now I have a personal affiliation with the disease. Congratulations Darius and all your friends! -Thomas
Congratulations Darius on being a Hero finalist for the Volvo For Life Awards and winning $25,000 for Charley's Fund! Super Cool! Hope you are selected as the winner!
The Banner-Herald, recently nominated Darius for a "Volvo For Life" Award, and he is a semi-finalist! If he wins, $100,000 will be donated to Charley's Fund, which directs money into the hands of researchers who have the best shot at developing a treatment or cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
I saw DGW at a friend's fundraiser for Charleys Fund. I was deeply moved and inspired by Darius' amazing spirit and courage in the face of this disease and the character of all the boys who took him on the trip of his life.
The DVD is coming out!!! Go order a copy now at the Darius Goes West website. All of the profits go directly to Charley's Fund. It's only $19.99 and will ship in early December!
I think the trailer is great! I can't wait to see the movie. I met two of the guys that put this wonderful doc together and they are wonderful, kind people. They were so modest about the whole thing and I could tell they really truly care about Darius. Sam and jASON YOU ROCK!
This story is so encouraging to our family,as we have a son with special needs. It really helps us to understand how young people are less judjmental and more accepting of those with special needs, than ever before. Thank you guys so much for being such an inspiration.
i just saw this story on nightline. what an inspiring and interesting movie! i can`t wait to see the whole movie. (p.s. shame! shame! on you mtv for not pimping his ride.)
I am three DMD boy´s father, they have done a lot of trips like Darius, but the most pleasent was that they were accompanied by the "heart" of their friends like this film.
Amazing!!! Such a WONDERFUL group of people, and they gave Darius such a great gift. I went to high school with most of these guys, and I am so impressed by this! Certainly have come a loooong way since Old Lady Brightwell's...
Saw it at the Tiburon Film Festival today. Great job everyone! I'm going to take my crew to see it this upcoming weekend at the Longbaugh Film Festival in Portland.
This Trailor was AMAZING!! I can't wait to see the whole thing. I am so pleased that there are people like you and Darius in the world. Congrats Darius!! I'm glad you had fun!!
this is the type of documentary, that all school children should see i have followed darius and pals from day one,and was lucky to be able to see them at a car dealership when they got home and darius got his new wheels please tell everyone about this documentary it needs to be seen.
What an inspitational young ma you are. My son who is 12 has DMD and you have given me so much hope and inspiration. You should be so very proud of yourself Darius. Thank-you
Despite a blizzard that almost kept them from making it to the film festival in Omaha, "Darius Goes West" walked away with TWO awards: Best Documentary (juried award) AND the Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary!
ya'll are amazing! im so sorry i missed yall in santa barbara but i PROMISE i will see yall next time yall come out! cant wait to FINALLY see the final project..im so proud of yall!!!
I believe this is the best trailer I've seen in a long time. My son has DMD, he is 16 years old. I pray everyday for my son to have friends he would be able to do things with. This video has given me hope that someday he may be able to experience the love and friendship I've seen in this trailer. How can I see the movie?
This is probably the most beautiful, amazing, inspiring, and touching documentary I've ever seen. You are all heroes and an inspiration to the 21st century.
I can't watch this film too many times. When people speak ill of the coming generation of potential leaders, I see young guys in this group who will undoubtedly set a standard so high that any naysayers will become embarrassed! Thank you guys for one of the most uplifting stories I have ever seen in my 50 years!!! It is no wonder that the film gets 5 stars!
The Santa Barbara Film Festival's Independent Audience Choice for Best Feature presented the award for the Audience Favorite for best Feature to Darius Goes West!!! Well-deserved. Congrats Logan!
Thank you for sharing your inspiring story with the world! I can't wait for the film to be released. Our family recently joined the world of neuromuscular disease when my 17 month old amazing daughter Kayla was born last year with the congenital form of Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy.
I got home a few minutes ago from seeing the documentary at Tate. You all are so funny and did such an amazing job. It was so inspiring and informative watching your journey across the US, and it's so great to know that you're not stopping here. Great job, guys. I totally plan on checking in on the website to see when you release DVDs, and I'll do whatever I can to contribute to Charley's Fund. Thanks so much for all that you do.
this is such an inspiring documentary. i love it!! i am abled body but my boyfriend who is 21 has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. this would be an awesome film to see.
thankz soo much for sharing it. the friends he has are what you call TRUE friends. i love this film already.
Logan, this trailer is absolutely amazing! It is obvious that the documentary went well as did everything with Darius. You are a great person for doing this and good luck in your future!
Required viewing for anyone who takes a dim view of the current crop of twenty-somethings. They care. They're changing the world. And they know how to have a good time.
