  • I hate you Mrs. HP! Your lower leg is SO perfect! :) Lovely riding, regardless of pony's attitude!

  • Thank you for your reply. I've watched again and see it more clearly. BTW, I could listen to Mrs. HP's voice all day. Lovely accent and tone. Congrats on this horse's success.

  • I've just found your videos and love them! But I had to ask about this horse. Could it be that she is so set in her ways that she just couldn't make the jump to learning a new thing? Could a few minutes of ground work have taught her without a fight? Every time I think my horse is being a butt head I find she didn't understand me and I feel bad.

  • Yes, often confusion in involved but we can do it under saddle in 5 minutes and be certain the message is fully understood. In the case of this Mare, pure bred Warmblood and arrogant like many, she in fact did understand of course and was at Elementary standard. She went on to be the star in my wife's "German Training Scale DVD set" and she ended training at Prix St. George level. Within one year. She was probably the most stubborn one we have met as she started at 7 yo. Regards

  • great podcast! i have started to train my new mare in jumping but i have to go back to flatwork because when i canter her in a circle i have to put my leg on alot and she wont get of it i have tryed every thing i can think of but this helps alot i can try some more of this and see if it works! thanks linda and john!!

  • No leg yield Moonie, no Dressage. Show Jumping should be Dressage in a show jumping arena.

  • i could sit here all nite and watch u and your husband at work. absolutely lovely to watch, only one thing linda, u should have a helmet on, kids to learn from what they see. cnt wait to view somemore! thanks...

  • Yes, I agree and do on suspect horses but riding all day in the heat of Australia would not be possible Health wise. Also, skin cancer is a big problem and Helmut not covering the neck and ears. Regards and thanks

  • well, u could be where i am right now waiting for the snow to stop! about a foot right now, i live in the states, northeast! time for the skiis. happy holidays take care

  • Yes Kids, always wear helmets. Most Professionals are naughty, we know. Linda wears them on suspect Horses, always (and this horse was not) and got kicked in the head 4 weeks ago, with helmet on. So you are right of course.

  • Excellent as always. I have learnt so much from your podcasts and dvd's that always give me the answers I need. Thank you Linda.

  • My wife says thankyou :)

  • My thanks are also intended for you John. Without your help my horse and I would be in quite a pickle by continuing to use ignorant and outdated methods. You and Linda are both world class :)

  • our sincere pleasure xx

  • my pleasure. Glad to have been some assistance.

  • Thanks-I have been tryning to continue my horse's training myself and he objects to new challenges in a very similar manner.

  • Thanks. That horse went to it's first comp last Saturday and ran second. She had been ridden by Learner Riders for 3 years and got set in her ways. That is why the objection. She is being used for my wife's new DVD called "Improving Movement with the German Training Scale. Regards
