  • Hard copies come in handy though... the government can attest to that.

  • that looked legit "fax software"

  • Step 4: Bang your head against the wall because you suddenly remember that those contracts and legal documents require a non tampered prototype for you to get a hard-copy verified by the police or any other respective authority.

  • You failed at the step in which you got a Mac... sorry fail video....

  • Oh, really?

  • Step 7: Have your computer crash beyond repair

Step 8: Try to recover files from online backup, but realise you didn't write the encryption key on a piece of PAPER

Step 9: Scream at the helpdesk employee because you're a dipshit that's lost all his files forever

Besides how much CO2 do all those computers and servers vent being active 24/7?

  • sounds like a lot of unneeded work

  • CD-roms, really now..... it's like saying oh use floppy disks to store your crap because this is the 90's :/

  • Wow, this is science

  • power goes out, followed by your business soon after.

  • 0.39 Why are you holding the paper on the scanner? Is it windy in your office?

  • Thanks Howcast! This really helped. I was wondering if for your next video you could show us how to tell the difference between Shit and Shinola; I'm having a real problem with that ...

  • @alizarin89 so you couldn't figure this out by yourself?

  • this is the dumbest video i've ever seen, these people need a fuckin life lol

  • I lol'd at he putting the cd inside the monitor. Rofl at Apple.

  • @getbakedtonight It's an iMac. The "Monitor" is the computer...

  • @lolidontneedyourape thats dumb ass hell....oh my...this jobs guy is milking your asses :D

  • step 7: get a life, nerd.

  • Thanks for stating the bleeding obvious.

  • useless video

  • "one ton of paper produces 4 tonnes of co2". they also failed to mention that there are now more forests in north america than before the conquistadors, due to the paper industry constantly needing more trees, hence more are being planted.

no more paper usage = no more tree planting = less co2 absorbtion.

Nah, i'm going too far with this on a friggin office tips video :D

    Also, cd-roms! Lol!

  • @Baleur

baby trees =/= grown up trees.

Still, it's good for the future but as of now, not so much.

  • But I like killing trees. :(

  • geez at least recycle those papers

  • virgin paper.

    Kinky.

  • Step 7 get rid of your mac

  • i faped

  • Step 1. Get a Mac so you can prove that you're really a smug fuck

  • what about rolling papers?

  • Scissors cuts paper, you lose!

  • Wat.

  • Random video :D

  • Paperlesss is great, this video was not

  • Next Episode: How to properly write CO2

  • why doesn't he recycle that paper instead of throwing it in the trash? sheesh

  • last step. get fuck and lost all your file as the company of online storage got hacked and your hard disk got all crisped up.

  • step one: never use online storage ;D

  • But I need TP for my bunghole!

  • step 1 : Get a Mac

  • I wonder if Howcast follow their own advice.

  • the 2 should be in subscript not superscript in co2 lol.

  • Step 1: Don't be an idiot

  • Like a boss

  • "FAX SOFTWARE" looks legit.

  • Step 1: don't use paper

  • Cant u guys show how to use toilet paper, WITHOUT THE PAPER! That would save alout of trees

  • that sounds dangerous... someone tips over the harddrive or a small earth quake tips it over and EVERYTHING is gone...

  • @fayenesse i think you can get hardrives made for those conditions so you won't loose anything

  • How to have a paperless office! *pans by shit ton of books*

  • Wow,i almost feel like at school!

  • looks at video NASA /watch?v=pZr5HJ1ZHm8

  • yo howcast motherfuckers what the fucks wrong with papers, i like papers, someone tell that bitch to go back to the kitchen

  • or or or or or you can just use paper.

  • Those are NOT CD-ROMs! They are CD-Rs! ROM means Read Only Memory, R means Recordable. But I guess that with a computer that was discontinued 2 years before the publication of the video, they most likely doesn't know anything about new and eco-friendly technologies like cloud storage, smartphones, tablet computers and... emails?

  • BURN IT!

  • damn i really needed of these steps to understand how a paperless office works

  • HAHAHAHA HES USING A MAC! FOR BUSINESS TOO! HAHAHAHAHAHAA

  • Paper 4ever!

  • mporo na eho to tilefono tou paidiou?

  • really?? amazing... I didn't know that! lol

  • -Step 7: Buy paper

    -Step 8: Buy a printer

    Just kidding ;D

  • creating 1 ton of paper generates 4 tons co2

creating 1 ton of computers generates how many co2?

  • Step 1: Remove Paper.

I hope you were paying attention because I will not be repeating that.

  • @wesilation98 BAHAHAHAHAHAHA made my day.

  • NO SHIT SHERLOCK!

  • The desk is wood, paper is made from wood... but they tried

  • this is why i watch alot of porn!!! :D cuz ifs so badass

  • And then you get hacked or short circuit and all your files are gone.

  • @AckrosNL

lol that's what the external Hard drive is for.

  • vad i helv..

  • Step one:

    Buy an Apple Macintosh -_-'

  • @HamzaNM Why?

  • I'm still waiting for them to release "How to take a shit"

  • STEP ONE: DISPOSE OF PAPER

  • Step 1. Remove all paper

    Done

  • like if anyone gives a shi about co²

  • @aydoooo go away

  • @dubziiee why? i like this place

  • @aydoooo what the internet?

  • @dubziiee no

  • fail when he tries to get the cd in @ 0:28

  • What if you have a virus and it clears all of those faxed papers?

  • mail... WordBiz... DAD,S DOCUMENTS !!! WHERE IS THE PORN FOLDER ?????

  • i love how this is to reduce paper and be more eco-friendly or whatever and the guys throwing the paper in the garbage. LEARN TO RECYCLE! lol

  • Trolololol, backup serious and important files online?

  • @Makorus404 Yes.

  • @Rudy4President If you ask me (me as a computer scientist), I'd say: never EVER back up your important files online. This is the most insecure thing you could ever do. Just imagine, you absolutely have no idea about where your files are being stored. Who knows what they do with that storage?

  • @Makorus404 So 90's. Cloud backups are very popular nowadays, and very secure. It's not a matter of just emailing yourself important files for backup. It's a legitimate service. If you ask me (me as a computer scientist), I'd say: Welcome to 2011. This is the direction the world is going, Knowing a program language wouldn't change that, and a computer scientist wouldn't be the person I'd ask about backing up online.

  • @Makorus404 A "computer scientist" with 18, cool.

And what exactly does knowing a programming language make your opinion more valid?

And as long as you choose a legitimate company, they know what they are doing. They encrypt your data and have security measures to prevent anything bad from happening to it.

Actually, I would prefer online backup, since it's universally available and you can pretty much be 100% secure that you will never lose that backup due to hardware failure.

  • @ChRiSiMoN and if you do lose it you can sue :P

  • I'm backing up backing up backing up, backing up cause my daddy tought me good!

  • Backup my computer to CD ROMs? Yah right...

  • but where is the paper?

  • i see some paper in the bookshelf there

  • Dunder-Mifflin aint gonna like this

  • you copied smosh's logo

  • lol virgin paper? does that mean I shudnt get paper thats alredy been f*cked?

  • @purple2567 Think she means paper made straight from wood and not recycled.

  • What a lot of work - you could use a service like Delegation Magic - and they do everything for you for 15 cents a page including hand reading every page and managing the work flow in the back ground 24/7. Paper NEVER gets into our office or home - we even have the mail intercepted now by a service that scans it directly into our 'off site' service so we cut cost another 5 hours a week. Delegation Magic works for me

  • I work as a Paralegal Assistant for a law firm and I love the paperless office very much!!! Going paperless saves us at least $900,000 per year! What a difference a huge savings makes!!! For safety and security, I always backup all of the documents on a portable external hard drive (in the event that the documents stored online gets lost and if I'm unable to connect to the server). Rated 60 stars & highly favored :-)

  • besides, the CO2 emissions from humans still only accounts for about 3% of all carbon emissions on earth.

  • what's so environmentally friendly about not having paper that has alredy been produced from cut trees? they're always going to be in stock. it's not like we're losing our forests, so who gives a shit.. fuck this video

  • Going paperless to me is:

    1. Slow and time consuming. If you want something fast check out FreedomFiler.

    2. Expensive

    3. Not safe. For the same reason they tell you you should have multiple passwords. Why keep all your information in one location? Now not only are your files vulnerable to theft, fire, and flood. They will now be vulnerable to theft, fire, flood, viruses, computer hacks, online hacks, etc. And again your information will all be in one spot. I'll stick with the filing cabinet.

  • @webeducation if you place everything on a external hard drive, no hacker or online hacker will have access to it. (as the video suggests) Viruses will probably not effect it either unless one of your files are infected.

  • Combining great software and great service, AMI Paperless can help you complete your paperless office by offering complete scanning services to complement your paperless office.

  • well you kinda don't need this if your a pilot. your office is in the sky and changes location every passing second :)

  • i wish my office could be paperfree .... i thnk its quicker a lot of the time to be able to open a filing cabinet and pull out a hard copy of something than messing about trying to find it on you computer... :)

  • i love how that CD says "fax software" hand writen, looks like it's pirated lol and yes i know you can burn software to the disc from the download of MWS but 95% of them are just run programs so shush

  • Well, they already did surreptitious advertising for Apple and maybe the advertising contracts says, that they are not alloud to plug other companies in this video. So they had no other choice but to handwrite it?

But it really looks kind of pirated...

  • @wowlover37 Wrong. It says "fax software" because this isn't a product placement video ie no free advertisement.

  • I have the same mouse lol

  • What if you need to print something? Oh, of course, get a towel.

  • it isnt exactly enviormentaly friendly sure it might save wasting paper but it does increese the use of electrisity which will still have an effect on the o-zone so yeah

  • I don't get why everybody is leaving rude comments. Haven't you've ever heard of "if you don't have something nice to say don't say it at all"?

  • there's no music?

  • Jesus, stop with the CO2 bullcrap already. Saving paper is not that environmentally friendly. A paperless offices is great for efficiency.

  • When they say fax software, they really mean it. Lol

  • This video makes me tired.

  • why are all these howcast vids so damn obvious? how useles you gotta be to need this channel /unsubscribe O.o

  • EMP?

  • @Tressco you get an EMP if you have a 15 killsteak :P

  • @uut0 LOL

  • @uut0

    Haha, best xp

  • music reminds me of two girls one cup hahaha

  • I would use flash drives!! Because those are smaller. Online you can have crash, or it get deleted or other bad things!

  • USB memory sticks even better.

  • i know they are the best! Smaller!

  • thats stupid because you computer could live for 5 years if only use it for documents but eventually its going to crash and youl lose all data.

  • that is why you back it up

  • @stefundertaker222 back it up. duhhhhh
