No commentators or co-commentators who are usually ex-footballers thought that was a straight red. If you touch someone's face yes you will get a red card because its deemed as 'raising your hands.' Dont even compare what happened here to anything else. The fact that this Rivaldo incident has appeared on so many 'cheating videos' speaks volumes.

Seriously guys? Let's say this. I got punched by a guy in a game. I fell down crying. The guy is still going to get a red card if I fall down or not. The japanese player was going to get a red card anyway for unsportsmanship. Rivaldo just took it too far but even if he didn't, the player would've still gotten a red card. What Rivaldo did was wrong but the guy was going to get booked anyways...
