this is not the original version of the commercial. the video footage is from 1984...however the voiceover is as recent as the early 2000s. the 1984 version has the announcer saying "you'll get cash on the spot" as opposed to "you might get cash on the spot." also the phone number back then was simply 860-2000, as there were was only one area code for Chicagoland back then. now there are 5.
Has to be the longet running commercial?!?!

This has been on Channel 9 for 25 years...back in the day they did the voice-over with whoever was the "voice" of WGN TV.
And it used to be SEVEN acres of used parts!
Think of how many other classic local commercials such as this have simply been taped over and lost....
