  • IDK, this is a tough subject for me. I am gay and I've been so depressed lately about my entire life and where I am at. I recently started getting "spiritually" and praying to God. I just wish I know what religion to chose, I have experimented with different religions including Islam. I believe in hell and I dont want to go.....hmmm

  • I think you are a smart young lady and said it very well.

  • What a dick, in the words of a good friend of mine. -God loves fags.- (^_^)

  • I believe you and me have talked about this subject. lol

  • there is this saying that "the road to hell is paved with good intentions", but i dont know. to each his own, i always say. in my personal opinion i think regardless of how nice or push they are, its still abrasive to have someone come up to as if ive nver been exposed "the word". i was...for at least 10 years of my life...and i wont go back cuz some stranger thinks they know whats best. i say thanks for the concern, it is sincere, but no thanks to your teachings, move on, please.

  • Wooo boy.....another misguided Christian who completely doesn't get evangelism at all. You handled it the best you could, although most often I stop them with "Yes, I am saved and Jesus is my savior! I'm so glad to meet another pilgrim! Can I share with you a little about Apostle Mary Magdalene's words about how to follow Jesus?" That usually scares them off. Little did he know that he was speaking to a budding theologian! Take care!

  • I think he came in with his best intentions but, since he's saying those things to you without knowing you is a little pursuasive.(in a bad way) He obviously is invovled in his faith and i don't know if he realizes that it can come off as being rude. Coming from a fellow christian (who is gay) we somethimes leap into things without knowing what others may take it as. Just becasue it's in the bible doesn't mean we need to force the word on other people all the time and in random settings.

  • it's just an position those people have and feel you should know about . it wasnt wrong per se cause its ' concern'. its wrong when they tell you your life style is unacceptable and begin to crush their ideas on you.

    its whatev.

  • I think it's rude, but they don 't intend to be, they think they're saving your soul...

So i suppose it's the thought that counts?

Once i was in town, and this old lady ran up to me saying (very loudly might i add) that now was the time to save my soul and give my heart to god.. I politely said no thanks and walked away. But i swear she stalked me or something coz i kept bumping into her again, and she kept trying to convert me.. That sort of thing pisses me off because i said no repeatedly..

  • Really I think its great he has his own opions but to force them on someone? Just becuse of how they look, act, or how there opions are is really rude to just asume that oh they must have strayed from god even if he was trying to be nice I think that was pretty rude

  • yoyo , personally i think he was out of line, i think it's disrespectful that people would go up to people and starrt preaching to 'save people' , that indeed shows that they think their religion is the superior. That pisses me off , like honestly if someone wanted to be in that religion you wouldn't have to convince them. i don't believe in religion :/ blaah.

  • in my opinion this guy was wrong. first of all who said that god doesnt love lesbians. and its your choice if you belive in him or not. i dont think its ok to come to stangers on the street and say 'jesus loves you' thats just wierd.

  • I woulda been like "Yea thanks man thats nice but i'm agnostic" and of course he would have probably kept ranting and I would have just got short with him like "yea, ok, like i said, i'm agnostic" then usually they take a hint when your politely blunt with them and walk off with a "jesus loves you" comment. i find it a little offensive, yea, because they're assuming by first glance that your "strayed from god" and "need help".

  • Oh yeh, he was WRONG! definitely wrong to do that. You dont need Jesus ALLIE. All you NEED is ME!!!

  • he was wrong. that doesn't help anyone.

  • My church encourages us to tell people that God loves them but I would never go up to someone and tell them that they need to change or anything

  • you said y'all :D :D... sorry just where i live no one EVER says it.. and I love it... :)

anyway.. i think that those people do have a right to do what they want and to try to 'save' people...

but I know when they come up to me it pisses me off. I think ultimately people believe what they want and i don't think a preacher on the street will change people's beliefs...

  • hes an mental

  • hahahah hey can i talk to you for a minute

girll tha back of yo head is rediculus!

  • thats what i was thinking when i said that! xD

SCUSE ME CAN TALK TO YOU FOR A MINUTE?

  • gurll that is a FRENCH ASS name!

haha your remake of that is hilarrrious.

  • dude thats stuff annoyes me so much cause to me it shouldnt be what faith you are but that you have faith. idk man but thats just me personaly i used to be catholic i say and now idk what i am but i believe in God and that he loves us all Gay Staright Lesbian or whatever. he created us and this whole world to enjoy and have fun in, whatever religion you are. thats my personal opinion

  • i understand why he came up to you to tell you god loves you because many people do that because, as you said, the church has kinda told them to.but saying god wants you back wasnt fair.for all he knew you might have been really interested in religion and involved massively.i dont mind what people believe in, but i do mind when they try and force those beliefs on me.i let you believe what you want to believe so do the same thing to me and let me believe what i want too. its only right.good vid:)

  • Personally, I find it obnoxious and off-putting. Nobody wants anybody else's beliefs forced down their throat. I just think it's the wrong route to go. The outreach program at my church takes an entirely different approach, and in my opinion, it's much more effective. They go out into the community and host events and gain an exponential amount of members by talking to people as people first and never making people feel as though by not being christian, they are doing something wrong.

  • good videooooo.

it annoys me sometimes when things like this happen..but only if they're rude/shouting at me when im walking down the street which has happened a couple of times by the same guy.

but this guy sounds pretty sweet..like..he was doing it out of love and trying to 'help' you..even if you didn't his help. he thinks he's doing a good thing which his church will probably tell him to do. so i guess the guy was just trying to be nice and had good intentions. at least he wasn't an ass. (:

  • They brain wash them and I agree with basicallyhaley

  • I would have been left with the same conclusion as you. He's brainwashed. I know this because I used to be too.

You're right, "The Church" tells people that they need to "help" others. I believe that he was doing it out of love, he was just a bit misguided.

On the flip side, if you had talked to him about what you just said to us, he might have started to question what HE was doing.

Humans are a vast, deep and often times dark, sea. Complex and multi-faceted, yes ma'am.

    <3

  • i feel like if he was polite and civil, his intentions were honest and good. It's when people make rude "God hates you" comments that they're just trying to cause a scene, but the way he went about it, for me it seems like he was trying to help you. Even if you don't listen to him (clearly =P), you can walk away believing this guy isn't a total ass, just doing something he believes in without discriminating and diminishing your rights.
