  • Five players in the band are "Rickey and the Four Keys...My cousin is the tenor sax man, Frank Wood...others are Jim Fogal on bass, Roy McMeans on drums, Lucky Karajohn on piano and Rickey Aguary on baritone sax...Frank Wood passed away in 2010...

  • that was one funky dude jerry good all round acting dance

  • Bill Haley and The comets were the inspiration for this band!.

  • And I love his frog bow!

  • I love to watch that man dance! He is SO smooth.

  • This was loosely based on an earlier Paramount film THE MIRACLE AT MORGAN'S CREEK, a fine film. The French, ever the Lewis fan, adapted both into 3 HOMMES ET UN COUFFIN & added a crime subplot. When former Paramount head Michael Eisner was at Disney he bought the rights to 3 HOMMES and remade it as 3 MEN AND A BABY not realizing it was a Paramount property all along. Much of the plot has been reassembled but most of the elements are still there.

  • What is your grandfather's name? The guy on the Bari sax, I heard, is Ricky Aguirre

  • Yep, one of his best. Along with The Nutty Professor.

  • THE GUY ON THE PIANO IS MY GRANDFATHER!

  • @djbrianfoxx

Who is your grandfather? Supposedly the Bari sax player is Ricky (Enrique) Aguirre popular rock'n'roller in San Antonio early 50s.

  • @ometeotl74 the guy on the piano is, lucky karajon

  • @djbrianfoxx OMG, dude that's awesome! Once I met a girl that her great aunt was an extra on seven brides for seven brothers!

  • This was one of Jerry's best films after the split with Dean Martin. Not many people know that Jerry Lewis was the brains behind the comedy duo. Dean Martin was a fabulous singer and a fine actor, but he did not possess the comic genius of Jerry Lewis. 1958's "Rock-a-bye Baby" contained many scenes that showcased the true talent of Jerry Lewis. This scene, along with at least one onther, showcased his true singing and dancing talent.

In this very scene, he does a great dance sequence...and while he makes that goofy smile, his dance steps are impeccable.

  • I watch this about 15 times a day :) Can't get ENOUGH!!! If only I could move like that!

  • The guys look like the Comets. But Jerry Lewis doesn`t sing like Bill Haley.

  • plays about as good as I do...

  • LOL he rox my sox!

  • Super fantastic

  • @anikamomo

oh yes, please! We need more from that stuff.

  • I love to watch that man dance.

  • @lotsandlotsofbubbles I just saw a program feature they made on him, and what was shocking was that he said he never had any dance lessons. So good news: he's even better than previously assumed. (:

  • @bigmacker224 Coolness! He's amazing. Absolutely amazing.

  • What's the name of the song? Anyone?

  • YEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!! one of my most favorite scenes!!

  • Hilarious!

  • jerry lewis was multi-talented, wished he would have put more music & dancing in his acts.

  • the short dance was precise as hell!!

  • @diddymuck I know, totally!!! I remember being totally mesmerized by that part when I first saw this movie!

  • very funny.

  • Awesome film :D I watched it yesterday I <3 Jerry Lewis :D i also watched The Disorderly Orderly :D thats very funny too I love his face in this film where he sees the third baby :D He doesn't even need to talk to make me crack up!!

  • Jerry with Freddie Bell & The Bellboys [the guys Elvis watched when he got his idea for the "burlesque" Hound Dog.

Jerry's moves no doubt copied by Elvis Costello!

Jerry is a comedy genius, with more talent than most countries.

  • Un verdadero payaso. El mejor.

  • Jerry L. Classic!!!

  • Do you also have Marilyn Maxwell doing "White Virgin of the Nile" from this movie too? If so could you post it too?

  • Jerry Lewis - the best !!!

  • Movie critics have said that Jerry Lewis parodied Elvis Presley in the part of the scene where he has the guitar and sings untelligible lyrics. Jerry's terrible on the guitar but shines on the drums.

Also, according to IMDB, Jerry's son Gary played a young Clayton Poole, whereas Jerry played Clayton as an adult in this 1958 film. 6 years later, (apparently being inspired by this clip), Gary decides to start a rock and roll band, the very successful Gary Lewis and the Playboys.

  • classic Lewis !! watch that boy dance !!

  • this is the funniest thing I have seen in weeks! Lewis is a master.

  • So funny, love this. I hate to sound like some geezer, and I never thought I would ever hear myself say this, but, why don't they make stuff like this anymore? Nothing wrong with goofy antics for a laugh.

  • @chairmanofthebored1 are you kidding?!?! I'm 24 and I'm insane about this. after watching this I feel like jumping out my chair and doing the same things he's doing. I start acting like him after watching him, it's crazy, I frickin love it.

Love jerry and love this particular sequence.Almost die the first time I saw it on tv.

  • I wonder if this clip inspired Jerry's son Gary to start his own rock and roll band, Gary Lewis and the Playboys.
