Five players in the band are "Rickey and the Four Keys...My cousin is the tenor sax man, Frank Wood...others are Jim Fogal on bass, Roy McMeans on drums, Lucky Karajohn on piano and Rickey Aguary on baritone sax...Frank Wood passed away in 2010...
This was loosely based on an earlier Paramount film THE MIRACLE AT MORGAN'S CREEK, a fine film. The French, ever the Lewis fan, adapted both into 3 HOMMES ET UN COUFFIN & added a crime subplot. When former Paramount head Michael Eisner was at Disney he bought the rights to 3 HOMMES and remade it as 3 MEN AND A BABY not realizing it was a Paramount property all along. Much of the plot has been reassembled but most of the elements are still there.
This was one of Jerry's best films after the split with Dean Martin. Not many people know that Jerry Lewis was the brains behind the comedy duo. Dean Martin was a fabulous singer and a fine actor, but he did not possess the comic genius of Jerry Lewis. 1958's "Rock-a-bye Baby" contained many scenes that showcased the true talent of Jerry Lewis. This scene, along with at least one onther, showcased his true singing and dancing talent.

@lotsandlotsofbubbles I just saw a program feature they made on him, and what was shocking was that he said he never had any dance lessons. So good news: he's even better than previously assumed. (:
Awesome film :D I watched it yesterday I <3 Jerry Lewis :D i also watched The Disorderly Orderly :D thats very funny too I love his face in this film where he sees the third baby :D He doesn't even need to talk to make me crack up!!
Movie critics have said that Jerry Lewis parodied Elvis Presley in the part of the scene where he has the guitar and sings untelligible lyrics. Jerry's terrible on the guitar but shines on the drums.
Also, according to IMDB, Jerry's son Gary played a young Clayton Poole, whereas Jerry played Clayton as an adult in this 1958 film. 6 years later, (apparently being inspired by this clip), Gary decides to start a rock and roll band, the very successful Gary Lewis and the Playboys.
So funny, love this. I hate to sound like some geezer, and I never thought I would ever hear myself say this, but, why don't they make stuff like this anymore? Nothing wrong with goofy antics for a laugh.
@chairmanofthebored1 are you kidding?!?! I'm 24 and I'm insane about this. after watching this I feel like jumping out my chair and doing the same things he's doing. I start acting like him after watching him, it's crazy, I frickin love it.
Where could i find the clip where Jerry is in the all girl school..dean martin is a teacher.. the part i'm looking for is the one with Jerry and some sort marching band..
How's it going Jerry Lewis fans,I'm 28 but my Mother showed me these movies going up I love jerry lewis. Can Any one tell me the title of one of his films were there was a little girl orphaned, she had to choose an uncle to be her care taker. But all the uncles were Jerry Lewis, one was a clown, another a pilot,a limo driver and a salior. Can someone please tell me thanks.

Jerry with Freddie Bell & The Bellboys [the guys Elvis watched when he got his idea for the "burlesque" Hound Dog.
Jerry's moves no doubt copied by Elvis Costello!
Jerry is a comedy genius, with more talent than most countries.
