It's really interesting hearing about parties in America because in Britain it seems very different!

This seems a very different experience to UK uni, where we have freshers week what is a week of basically going out every night and meeting people that way

Hey I actually got invited to a couple of parties since school has started but the thing is, my school is85% guys,and it's guys who invited me so it's not like im able to show up with a bunch of girls cause there really aren't that many. The party would be off campus and I'm just really scared! What if my friends get wasted and I'm left all alone? I dont want to seem like a total loser just sitting in the corner but I don't want to drink and then be put in a bad situation. Any additional advice?

Haha, first of all, I love how this was the most viewed one in your series. And I actually heard about the Thursday thing as well, I always assumed it was because people tried to make Fridays their class-free day. Speaking of that, roughly how many days and hours are u in class a week? I heard it was less than the amount of time you're in class in high school but the hours can sometimes be insane?

@exquisiteallure I know! hahaha that made me laugh especially because no one even asked about drinking. I guess they were afraid. I go to class every day, but some days I only have 2 hours of class, and others I have 7.

You are so NOT a dork...I'm not into partying everynight either. Maybe once a week...not even. I honestly don't understand the point of getting drunk all the time. Its not fun when you do it a lot...

Honestly, I probably wouldn't party at all because being around a bunch of beer and creepers (like that dumbass you mentioned) does NOT sound like my idea of a good time =P It's just a preference of mine, and I don't judge others who do like to party, but it's totally not my cup of tea. So don't feel bad about sounding like a dork!

I didn't go to a college party until second semester freshman year, after I made a solid group of friends. I usually went to parties once a week. And I wasn't considered a dork. Sometimes I would go to parties and only have 1 or 2 drinks. And my group of friends often used to stay in and have drinks - in the dorms or 5 or 6 people in our apartment. We'd also have movie or show marathons on weekend nights. Great advice.

Very helpful video! I feel more like a dork since I never been to a college party. I been to ones in a substance and alcohol free dorm, but there was no crazy partying in those just good fun...I been invited to those parties but have always skipped out on them since I didn't feel comfortable...is that weird?

@Calicogirl2l nope, not weird at all. And if you don't drink, I definitely wouldn't recommend going no matter what people say.

@beautybudget88 I may have one drink when I go out with friends but I can only drink certain thing and I've never had more than one. Another friend I have is just like me and both of us feel weird around people we don't know getting drunk. Unfortunately both my friend and I go to party schools and the majority definitely drinks and does drugs. Seems like only my mature friend and older friends know how to drink responsibly.
