Superstition, i just did it in the basement alone no lights i turned of the screen, heard only weird noises but no movement was detected (well hidden motion sensors)... But if it somehow is true, dont show your fear, he can surely feel if you are scared of him, that will make him insecure and maybe resolve to violence...
