The Title is wrong .. when it says the car has 650ps .. it doesnt mean PS is a HP .. if you convert 650ps to HP(horse power) .. it is around 800 - 815HP ...

He is either at idle or on the rev limiter...there is nothing in between. Orido has hella control to do this in the wet!

Which brings me to another thing, if in japan any toyota car that is involved in any sort of competition is swapped with a 2JZ, why the hell is toyota ignoring that and stop producing motors like that? I don't see why you would want to try and post fast times around a track drifting.  The fastest way around a track is actually trying to keep your speed up and keeping your tires planted. That being said I'm sure i'm missing something here and I most likely will look like a noob.....

@HaloToday i dont think its a real time attack, its just a sub section of time attack of drifting around the track and seeing who got it done the fastest i suppose haha but drifting was thought to be faster years ago i believe and then they figured out having the red and white stripped strips along turns to keep grip they would go around the track much faster and now drifting is more for show and fun than actual speed and time.

and also the lexus stock engine is a 2zj which apeared 1st on supras so its not that they took a supra engine and put it on the IS :)

@jorjinos Actually they did take it from a supra, 2005 up like on this vid have 3.5 and 2.5 v6's the older models had the 2jz-ge and the 2.0 4 cylinder... Even if it was a older model the 2jz on the tt supra is way stronger the one on the lexus is300 2jz-ge lexus, 2jz-gte supra

@gonza1152 i agree with you.. This generation of lexus IS came with V6's and none of them is a straight 6 like the 2jz. the only lexus "IS" model that came with a 2jz-ge was the old IS300 which had the same body as the altezza.

fuel cut? dont think so. not on a serious D1 car like that. From what I can gather, you're hearing the limiter bounce. Fuel cut on a 2JZ is about 14psi. These things run in excess of 14 almost all the time.

and also, a 2JZ is an inline 6 cylinder which in an IS means that you are placing more weight over and in front of the front axle, that in turn degrades the handling of the vehicle!

Ah, my bad. What I *meant* was an IS250/350 not madly tuned like this one. ie; full interior, climate control, and the usual Lexus amenities. I also know about the i6's effect on the handling of the car. (I drive a GS300)
