yeah they didn't want to get their heads ripped off by the FAA, so they flew all the way back to Warszawa just to they can do a bellyflap... what a bunch of assholes. Last time i flew lot to Warszawa we had water dripping from the ceiling on at least 20 of the passengers... if lot wants to charge so damn much for the tickets perhaps they should make sure the plain won't start melting on landing -_-

Although this was a skillful landing, it is not the most dangerous landing because the pilots have been trained for belly-up landings. A more dangerous landing has got to be United 232 or Us Airways 1549 because the pilots had to training for their type of emergency, but yet landed int he best way they can respectively.

Warsaw airport is acutally one of the best in terms of reliability - planes are starting even if it is a snow storm since 12 hours. Frankfurt, London, Paris, Berlin will be shutdown, while Warsaw will keep operating in harder conditions. I know this - I've experienced it personally.

Also on conventional aircraft wheels, why not have rubber spin-up vanes on the tyres. So when they land the wheels are already spinning and there's much less wear-and-tear on the tyres (and much less smoke).

@ThePicasso330 - It's a standard landing procedure that all commercial and private pilots are trained to perform. No real danger in this case as the fuel was dumped and the chances of it breaking up are very slight. Belly up landings happen all the time but seldom on an aircraft this size.

They were doing their job and the crash occured because of the poor weather, the poor airport conditions and their poor experience. Although that's a whole different matter - they were military pilots. I'm talking about the civilian pilots and those that take part in aero-acrobatics shows - they are one of the best in the world.
