So essentially they got just a different flavor of oppression after all that time. On the up-side however their women are one of the most attractive in the world.

If all military conflicts were equal vs equal there would be hundred year stalemates...it's simply not how war works. You are right - the Germans were in fact quite inhumane on the Ostfront. The Soviets were also quite brutal to their own people (do not forget Stalin's purges of over 20 million people) - as well as the rape of eastern Poland by the Soviets. The Germans were not the only brutal country during WWII - so to single them out is stupidity. I personally think both sides committed plenty of atrocities and both deserved punishment as a result.

It was definitley a preemptive war...similar to what the Soviets did in Finland, Poland, etc. I personally disagree with all aggressive warfare - but this was not the point of my original post and this video. If you want to go back in time...during WWI, when Austria-Hungary declared war on the Serbians, the Russians stepped in and declared war on the Austrians. From there, the Germans got involved - so realistically things tend to go full swing.
