  • I love when people don't realize what sarcasm is. haha

  • my upstairs retard neighbor got a terrarium with huge spiders. Once they escaped somehow, and he didn't inform anyone. One of them - like 20cm hairy motherfucker, walked through the wall into my flat, by the window, and i found it in my sink. And u must understand, we don't have anything like this in Poland. I think the most dangerous and poison insects we have, are the mosquitoes. I freaked out so much, that i called police and they found out it was my neighbors. He paid huge penalty. And GOOD.

  • hahaaaaaaaaaaa!

  • och współczuje.

  • Glad you liked it!

    Peter- Producer/Director

  • you know what the title was of this documentary?

  • dinosaurs weren't warm-blooded.

They're family of the crocodile and the lizard and cold- and warm blooded animals CAN NEVER BE relative to eachother..

I bet there is no mysterie at the mountain.

And if people are afraid to go there, who saids normal animals are afraid too so I bet there r just normal animals there..

  • don't be too dismissive

when the english first chartered australia only 200 years ago

there were many unusual creatures there that were said to be impossible and defy the laws of biology

to say that there is nothing left to be discovered is just narrow minded skepticism!

  • actually, dinosaurs were endotherms (warm blooded) as they regulated their own body heat. they're more closely related to birds, not reptiles - in fact the dinosaurs you're talking about are referred to as non-avian dinosaurs, while birds are known as avian dinosaurs.

  • Open your mind. Dinosaurs were only classed as reptiles based on the teeth of Iguanadon. Dinosaurs are no longer classed as reptile or mammal but are now considered their own class. They did eventually evolve into birds but that was only one branch of dinosaurs the therapods (That's the two legged predatory dinosaurs). Many of the later therapods are being debated as wether they were true birds or not as the question what is a bird needs first to be answered.

  • that looks really interesting

  • Awesome.

  • I saw this on tv and I would LOVE to find this on DVD

  • I want more of this! What the hell!

  • Birds have scales. Some look like scales, some look like furry things called feathers. And superfast metabolisms.

  • Is there a release date for the DVD yet?

  • Sorry no...we're still determining viewer response...

  • looks stellar! I'd buy the DVD.

  • I defy anyone to show proof that dinosaurs were cold-blooded. Especially the larger ones. Even some large oceanic fish are being deemed warm-blooded (compared to hot-blooded mammals) because of their advanced metabolisms. Can a snake fight capture for 4 hours? It will die. Can a marlin? Yes, and live as well.

  • i agree that ther warm blooded whos to say ther skin haad to be scales?

  • i saw it on tv once

  • if a meteor hit eart or a volcano exploded or a fart killed them all, why didnt the flying animals fly off the ground so they dont die?

  • Let me see if I can remember this from school. A meteorite didn't kill the dinosaurs, the meteor caused a massive amount of dust to be thrown up into the atmosphere causing an ice age. The fact that dinosaurs were HUGE cold blooded animals killed the dinosaurs.

Perhaps once the effects of the ice age aren't being felt anymore and the climate goes back to it's original state, things will get that big again? Once we're all long gone of course.

  • MONSTER HUNTERS is Coming! Gryphon Productions- who brought you The Real Lost World- is releasing for the first time- The original Cryptozoology Mini Series on DVD- soon available online and retail stores everywhere. the director- Peter von Puttkamer

  • why not fly a helicopter there?

  • Rick West was in :D

  • Any signs of dragons?

  • What channel was that on? I wanna see the whole episode.

  • 'The Real Lost World' The inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Lost World,'' the mysterious jungle plateau, Roraima. Date: Fri., Nov. 23, 2007 Time: 3:00AM Channel: 59, ANIMAL Descriptor: Repeat Episode, Dolby, CC (PA) 'The Real Lost World' The inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Lost World,'' the mysterious jungle plateau, Roraima. Date: Fri., Nov. 27, 2007 Time: 8:00PM Channel: 89, ANIMAL Descriptor: Repeat Episode, Dolby, CC (NY)
  • Such an expedition must have cost millions. I wonder who their investors were, and what did they expect to bring back. I suppose if there were any truly startling discoveries we would have heard about them by now.

  • Well, not millions...

We did find evidence to support the sightings of flying reptiles and apemen in the region, as told to British Explorers in the mid 1800´s. In addition, based on discoveries during our filmed expedition, one of our team members Dr. Hazel Barton has just returned with support from NASA and JPL to reveal new life forms inside the caves at the top of Roraima. The DVD is currently being designed.

    The Producer-Director

    Peter von Puttkamer

  • i remember reading doyles short stort the terror of blue john gap.its a narrowed down version of the lost world

  • This would make a cool video game. You have to make it UP the escarpment, bag a dino and get it down. Other advanced players build (a'la "Far Cry") the Lost World and you got GAME!

  • Very interesting indeed.

I hope that they will find many new and ancient creatures!

But some things need to remain secret.

  • I get what you mean. Without at least a little mystery, the world would be a very boring place. I sure do hope those guys have weapons if only for self defense (it's obvious they made it back safely though).

  • Coño me cago la araña!....!

  • This looks extremely strange/interesting, I wish I could see the full episode.

  • DVD out soon! Producer

  • is there anywhere on the internet where i can watch the full episodes?

  • the DVD will be coming out in the next 4 months...

    Producer

  • Oh my god, I freaked out when I saw that big ass spider.

I had to close the screen. I'm such a wuss.

  • damnn that big ass spider

  • creepy but cool

  • yknow, once upon a time, people didnt believe in gorillas...

  • Yes I do, that was a looooong time ago. They didnt even believe in the komoto Dragon! :p

  • ape men? i thought it was the real lost world. not planet of the apes.

  • Yes ape men. They are featured as key characters in Conan Doyle's classic book- The Lost World and in fact we traced the stories back, told to 19th century explorers. We interviewed shaman and storytellers in several Venezuelan villages- each encounter/sighting stories of the creatures sometimes called the Di Dis.

  • forgot to say...if AP is looking for more let me know! would love to work for AP!

  • Nice to hear from you...thanks for the comments. Check out our Beyond Invention show on the Science Channel July 4. Also don't be afraid to put comments on the Viewer Response section of Discovery Channel- naming these shows...it helps us do more of them. We are independent producers who must work hard to get these high-quality shows made, in a climate of knock-off reality-type shows with little substance or quality!

  • I lived in Venezuela for many years. Roraima Tepuy is a marvel. plenty of dark legends surround the regions of the tepuys. Also the Sari-sari-ñama tepuys are amazing not to forget the mighty Churun meru home of the angel falls. Would love to see more programs like this one, it keeps the mind wondering about what is out there. Thanks Animal Planet. The only thing that I regret that in Europe we do not get american TV! Missing all these great shows.

  • I want the DVD!!!

  • Getting close....

  • If you guys want to help out getting more cool programs like our Beyond Invention Serie on Science Channel- please post a commment on Discovery's viewer response site- they don't think enough people like this kind of programming and could cancel it. Thanks. Peter von Puttkamer- Producer. Beyond Invention is on the Science Channel; Please write comments at this site: discovery com viewerrelations

  • Please note- All episodes of my series- Beyond Invention will be on the Science Channel, all day long on the Science Channel- Check local listings and tune in, please! Director, Peter von Puttkamer

  • Peter, congrats on such a great film. There are not enough ground-breaking exploratory expeditions anymore. Everyone assumes everytihng worthwhile has been explroed or discovered, but not even half the planet has actually been explored!!

Hope we can catch this in Australia at some stage!

  • This is the first time, anyone has ever connected the Amazon Indian dinosaur/apemen sightings with the first book about dinosaurs- Arthur Conan Doyle's Lost World...that kicked off King Kong & Jurassic Park. Our scientists found ancient microbes growing eating the silica=glass walls of the cave. NASA is sending part of the team back to the top- to see how life might grow on Mars or elsewhere in outer space...Peter- the Director.

  • where did u get this and is this program called and P.S. i am studying history right now, but how do i get into this type of work?!
