  • God i wish i could use my nib pen that well.

  • Wooooow

  • Loved this video! Can you pretty please tell me the name of this song? :) Please, please, pleaseeeeeee! I MUST download it :D

  • use a different type of pen because the paper your using to draw on isnt right for the pen

  • How to draw abstract

    Step One: Become an artist

    Step Two: Oh shit...

  • Oh

    My

    Gosh

thats polly the coolest pen abstract ive seen in quite a while

what song is that btw? :P

  • 3:30 its sepia not depia xD

  • what is this????

  • WOW.... I do this... seriously! I use it as a exercise... the more time you have controlling the pen/pencil, the MORE it becomes a part of your hand... DANG! I bought 110 Prizmacolor pencils about a year ago and hardly used them yet!! =/ Maybe its time to take a brake from sculpting.. even if its just for a bit..

  • Shut up everybody!

This guy is fucking awesome!! Brilliant!!

  • This is awesome dude and thanks for the start up tips

  • Awesome dude... what's the song? It it is awesome aswell :)

  • U can;t teach someone how to draw abstract, abstract comes from within the artist, everyone is different :D

  • @RonnyBouDiab he taught his style of abstract,

  • @madman3891 :) I <3 his style!

  • What's the song in the video? Awesome.

  • music is disturbing

  • Do you set out to draw specific things (robot, teddy bear, giant robot panda etc)? or do you just throw your shapes together and come up with what it is at the end? Cause im trying to learn to doodle and do abstract and im trying to figure if you need a sense of direction first or just creativity and flow.

  • @airsoftlonnie Creativity and flow dude :). There is no sense if it's abstract, everyone see what they want to ;)!

  • Guys! I use a dip pen or nib pen, with black "India ink"! Now like this so people will know.

  • @ArtByTheYouth As author of the video, your comments automatically show up at the top. You could also put it in the description...

  • @ArtByTheYouth where do you get them and all the cool pens and art stuff

  • @ArtByTheYouth why don't you put in video description

I think that's more better rather than getting a thumbs up :D

  • i mean this is cool but i think anyone can do shapes and stuff like that but when it comes to realism and things like that i think its more of talent that anything else

  • @iEdddiii well why don't you look at my newest work, I have some realistic self portraits there.

  • @iEdddiii It actually has nothing to do with talent its just a matter of practicing, learn the basics and anyone can do it. btw most major and successful artists use abstract as a form of creative exercise. Also you're limiting yourself if you think that realistic art is the only art worth producing.

  • @madman3891 Well spoken!!

  • @iEdddiii i have to disagree with you. i myslef am more of a realism artist, and every time i try abstract, i just cant do it. i think that realism and abstract are 2 very different styles, either you can do it either you dont. but thats what i think, i may be wrong :D

  • all art takes patience, practice, and knowledge of color and composition. i believe that abstract art is one of the most difficult forms of art simply because there is right or wrong, control or even technique that people could go by. you really have to be open to understand what the piece is about. being an abstract artist of 6 years, has only taken me so far from when i began, simple lines and color has turned into design and details. it is very hard to make amazing pieces like this one.

  • @iEdddiii It takes more practice to draw realistic, not talent.

  • What kind of pen is that? I want one.

  • what i do is just randomly draw a line, then another, then another, then another and see where it goes, all visual arts start at one line

  • My best skill of drawing at school...

  • Thats amazing!

  • What kind of pen do you use?

  • @Lilllw he's using a caligraphic/inkwell pen. They usually come with interchangeable nibs.

  • Every good artists figures this out early on. For some odd reason its those scribbly lines that aesthetically pleases us. But to make it make sense you place these lines in comprehensible objects.

  • Its kind of little cartoons.. really wouldnt call it 'heart and mind' but it does look good.

  • @Markroofroof That's very true

  • thats the most beautiful randomness iv ever seen!

  • Where did you get that pen!!

  • @volcomstoners1922 Clearly you have never ate mushrooms lol..

  • whatz da penz name men i am looking for it and can't find it anywhere, where can i find it?

  • @mariom371 It's a fountain pen...

  • why ist it always a mushroom!

  • You can't teach how to draw abstract...

  • This is MUCH easier said than done.

  • What's the pen?

  • Flowing

  • what's the name of this song!? oh nice video :)

  • Cool pen bro

  • i dont know what made me look at someone draw random lines and shapes for 4 min -.- but nice work :)

    worth it

  • Thanks for the video. This is probably a great way to get the creative goo flowing. :)

  • How did i get from homeade spray booths to here. Nice work though

  • I have the same pen bro! awesome artness :o

  • Oh the irony in "teaching" how to be abstract...

  • amazing turn out

  • Wow this is amazing!

  • i just watched someone scribble for 4 mins

  • very interesting

  • Comment removed

  • i do this when im bored and im realy good at it

  • @10thonMW3legit there is no such thing as good.

  • What the hell are you drawing??

  • @ledzeppVN "abstract"............

  • just smoke alot of weed

  • Is Dieppa pronounced like "diaper" with an english accent? >_>

  • koo.. love it an i love drawing plz check out mine on my channel

  • doodling, not art.

  • @Molino52 Abstract is a form of art.

  • What is the pen you're using?

  • it looks like squidward .

  • Realy good *__________*

  • If only I was artistic....

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing !!

  • looks like shit...

  • @PsychedelicWarfare okay, i dont like to get mad when people post comments like this about art bcuz everyone has their own personalities, which affect how they do their own art, but that is just the reason why u shouldnt post comments like that...bcuz that is the artist's personality, not urs......personaly, i love it! but u do not have to...just dont say that about someone elses art though...bcuz it is what they like : )

  • @carleycooper360 Your use of punctuation and spelling makes me sick. Also, this is shit.

  • hey people check out my channel for a few speed drawings would love it if u looks and that drawing is pritty cool but im not drawing it =)

  • how could you even attempt to teach the simple mind to learn abstract. its a gift

  • haha good tutorialxd: draw lines..draw more lines.. repeat this..Xd

  • lmao i do this in english class every day

  • Band: Rhesus

    Song: A Shelter

    Album: The Fortune Teller Said

  • Unlike ,,, Just because i cant do this D;

  • Omg i have to upload my cool nyan cat drawing. I gave the poptart cat a acme hammer and a body.

  • For some reason the only ''nice things'' i've drawn, are the result of drawing sessions where I have no goal / result in mind what so ever. The problem with this for me personaly atleast, is that I’m never that proud of my work. If you’d ask me to draw it again I probably make something painfully ugly.. :-P

  • what type of pen is that?

    great drawing, btw.

  • abstract?? that's a teddy bear with a female duck!

  • Abstract ≠ random

  • how much do these kind of pens range in price?

  • @Couchpotato9110 check out an art store you can get a set anywhere from 6 dollars to 50 dollars. i got a big art pencil set for 9 bucks

  • @DeadlyDictator thank you

  • I've been to the dark side of you tube far to many times looking for this,.. i was told there was a WHITE side,.. :-) ,... i was starting to disbelieve it,..:-0 but not any more.

  • fuck that shit

  • Phone doodles. I piddle with them, too, during lengthy conversations.

  • There is no way to actually teach abstract, it comes from the mind and heart

  • @Markroofroof you can teach techniques to make it look good. this looks great and my abstract drawings always look like crap. i think i could learn something from this like the shading he's using, the shapes, sizes, etc...

  • @Markroofroof That's true, but there are tips and techniques for initiation.

  • @Markroofroof bollocks alert.

  • @Markroofroof Actually, a lot of famous, well known abstract artists ( not randos on the web ) use abstract to emphasize the use of a principle or element of design. Take this guys video, it sucks, however the line quality makes it an interesting piece. Without that element, it would be nothing more then trash. Abstract doesn't come the heart, nor mind. It comes from an idea. How you project that idea is what makes it work or not work.

  • @Markroofro i love how u didnt say it comes with "skill"

  • @Markroofroof yeah thats true. personally what I do is just keep drawing whatever. it doesnt even matter but just keep drawing, eventually ill see something from nothing and expand. I also like listening to music and drawing to the sounds if that makes sense

  • this is sick. ::thumbs up::

  • I want that pen again...I remember good...childhood times...now...I cant offord these pens..they are freaking expensive....

  • i wish i could SUPER like this. :) i love what you did. i have a horrible artists block. >.<

  • @Emileecrook I see kirby! haha, that's so cool :D

  • 1:46 is a moose wearing a viking hat in a bowling alley :) love your pen

  • I love phone doodles. It relieves some boredom when you're occupied with a rather lengthy conversation and you don't want to be rude to someone by simply hanging up.

  • god dammit i hope my exam title is abstract so i can just zone out and doodle lines.

  • What the Hell is that sh... ?

  • I need to buy a pen like this.. :c

  • If anyone's ever played Ice Breaker (I think that's what it's calledxD) didn't 0:58 remind you of the lil guy!?

And nice job! Haha I dont' even know what about this is good. But something just IS.

  • pencil abstract is my fav! good vid your good

  • sweet song bro. and your drawing is just amazing

  • awesome, your pen gives the pic a real unique texture. very cool

  • Statue Of Liberty, and this eye in the middle, just perfect

  • cual es el nombre de la cancion y quien la canta?

  • I love your drawing tool ♥_♥

  • abstract painting aren't supposed to be taught. that should be something personal coming from the artist. you can teach how to drow real life stuff and how to make light and shadow. then it is artist's task to twist everything :)

  • you struggle too much with the line, with its flow, use another tool, appart from that, the result is great, much better than "official critic sponsored art"

    black ink pen maybe better?

  • I like it :D - I find myself drawing like this quite a lot, but IMO the best thing is that you don't necesserily need any art supplies. A cheap ballpoint pen can be very good at conveying texture and light, especially if it's been used a few times. Just try not to scare your workmates with any disturbing sketches!

  • i want your fucking pen!

  • wow

  • It's fun to look into abstrat art and see different pictures and shapes within it, letting your creativity blossom... This is some of the best abstract work on youtube that i have seen so far, and i've seen a lot.

  • WHATS THE SONG!?

  • Beautiful trains of thought, unlike the bozo who commented before me!

  • your doing the same crap every other high school kid in america does on their binder while being bored in class. i know cause i did it to. its not fantastic, its stupid, grow up and do real art.

  • @samsfairytaleend What is real art? Obviously, something such as "real" or "great" is something that can only be judged by the person seeing it some may find it great or not, it depends on the person. Learn how to appreciate more. You might become a more better and understanding person.

  • what artists or artist groups do this sort of abstract art with lots of lines and mark making, would be a great help if i could know!!

  • likeee' love you paint♥'

  • hey, thanks for this video. I started drawing a lot more abstract stuff lately and this video has bin a good example.

  • Amazing work!

I'm sorry to be a noob/misinformed but what exactly is the artist using? Is that a fountain pen, or some other kind of pen? I want to try and see how it would compliment (or possibly worsen) my own style. Any ideas?

  • abstract - capable of creating something that you cant imagine. :)

    really nice!

  • i love those types of pens :D

  • Drarker lines: Add them for depth.

  • how to be random at drawing? just be random!

  • This is great work!

  • I do this type of stuff for my everyday doodles.

  • Stepped on a cyborg ant.

  • what kind of pen is that? I use a lot of fine point but that pen is really close to what I have been trying to find.

  • Tis be an amazing drawing! An also whats the name of this song??

  • is abstact art the same as psychedelic art?

  • lol i tried doing this and in the end i realized it just looked like a bunch of scribbles lol

  • that looks like someone turded onto my retina

  • I see Squidward...

  • abstract is prob my best style... because my mind changes allll the time so im constantly changing my objective.. and it starts to look like this... but its not the same when you do it... "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

  • you are realy good i used to be able to draw like that but then i stopped drawing for a while and now i suck but mabey your videos will help me

  • looks like a city that is growing into a small planet

  • What do you do with your stuff? Keep it? Sell it? Give it away? What?!?!?!

  • I always like to draw challenge in art class. :D

  • It looks like an elephant wearing a headdress

  • vary cool, it looks kinda like a futur machine that's enginearing was inspired by the octopus. I love drawing and painting etc, and incase you or anyone else wants to check out my stuff i got a flickr account my user name is b-hann and my real name's brian hannah just shearch it at flickr.com and anyone should find it.

  • no affiance but i skipped to the end to see the finished piece

  • at 1:30 it kinda looks like a little boy with a baseball cap whos also an angel sleeping :)

  • This looks like it may be fun I might try this and post a video (though I may use a different method).

  • Cheers mate, a great help! :)

  • How to draw abstract? Just listen to that sentance. It should be how to arrange composition for abstract. You don't really have to know how to draw to convey abstract art.

  • I started doing abstract stuff when i played CoD4 I know it sounds weird but the gun paint styles there was the digital one that had sqaures all bunched up one after another so i tryed doing that for a while then i added different shapes and kept doing that, then color, shading, and fills. I kind of discovered this art style myself even though it was already created. sorry if there is some missplelling i had a ton on caffine and know my haqnds are shaking.

  • technically there is no right way to draw abstract but great work

  • how is there anything to dislike about this? great work

  • @DevilOfPaint the music. . . .

  • @DevilOfPaint Not everyone respects abstraction. It's like people not respecting hiphop and techno.

  • great art man , we artists have a lot to show and this is a work of art that i like to do i appreciate this video
