did you try to rotate it to see what happens in north-south west-east orientation (well, is 4 orientations)? I could imagine this only working for 2 certain orientations. e.g. n-s and s-n the ordner of pushing changes. Another cuase could me this "redstone lists" you metioned once. (the thing with the wireless control)

Found this out myself some months ago actually. I tried to make a video out of it but when i recorded it, it somehow cycled backwards. I assume this depends on which chunk you build this thing on, very odd..

you could probably use this for minecart track switching pretty easily, you could cycle through 3 maybe 4 different destinations with just one button.

You can easily work out the pulse in the center lane to make it more "usable". Not to mention, other mechanics don't necessarily accept 1 game tick (note I didn't say redstone tick) pulses like a piston would, which could make this useful for non-piston applications in its current state.

@Minecraftaddict Hi, I just played with it and I made 3 way flip flop with it. you just need to block the 1 tick pulse to middle piston by placing 2 inverters in a row (2 redstone torches). Because 1 tick pulse doesn't change redstone torch state. But I think that you know it.

MCA I think it may be orientation dependent because one piston has to grab it before the other one way, and the other way the piston pushes it and the other grabs it after that.

Weird bug. I could think of a few reasons why it does that. Southwest rule, indecisive game engine, buggy pistons etc.

I came across this about 6 months ago while working on my server. It's very interesting. You can also put pistons in all 6 directions around the block and it will do the same thing, without fail.

Off the top of my head the only use that I might use something like that for is on one of my blaze farms.

1 pulse = Turn on crusher/close kill chamber

2 pulse = Open kill chamber/Turn on lighting disable

3 pulse = Turn off lighting

Even that is marginal for its usefulness. More to save me having 3 controls :)
