Darby was an excellent writer, but this seems to me his greatest work. The lyrics are impeccable. I mean, damn... "All he sees are death marked stars, the lion's world is cold and sharp, all he wants is much too far, so he stalks the roads of token cars"...
Even though Darby Crash was racist and somewhat of an egotistical kinda guy, he had an amaziong onstage presecne and he was of course an amazing writer who wasn't afraid to use "Big words" and be very intelligent.
He also used to sell his ass for money when he lived on the streets, all the little punkers sold their butts to the early west side homos for food money. Them were crazy days.
That sucks, I steal what I need when I have no money. It's a lot more fullfilling than getting your ass plowed just to buy lunch. Punks need to learn to shoplift, apparently.

actually, punk was either political or just damn good poetry that was played really fast that needed hellious drummers to play it... definitions like punk being whatever it wants to be is how it ended up being where it is now with emo fags and preppy kids wearing stripped shit saying: "oh that's so punk rock" when they dont even know what punk rock is.. not downin ya, jus saying be careful in knowning your rock and dont spread the meaning that others have that has ruined the genre...

The genre isn't "ruined" just because there's this mainstream bullshit that people pretend is punk doesn't mean that real punk went away. There's still all kinds of DIY bands ranging from Powerviolence acts like Vivisick to folk punk bands like This Bike Is A Pipebomb that stay true to the original punk ethos of thinking for yourself and living your life for yourself. There's always going to be a clear distinction between true punk and poser bullshit.

Even though Darby Crash was racist and somewhat of an egotistical kinda guy, he had an amaziong onstage presecne and he was of course an amazing writer who wasn't afraid to use "Big words" and be very intelligent.
