western horse for an english rider......hhhmmm.... the horse looks great, but she looks as though she has no spirit. she is ver lazy at the trot and the jump. and yes, i know it was a western jog, and she was trained for that. but she is NOT a good mount for an english rider. just sayin. she pretty though. i would want a horse with more spirit. she just looks dull

First things first,, BEAUTIFUL mare. I have an Sorrel Overo Mare of my own. She is out of "The Scotchman". I thoroughly believe that your horse would be an amazing "all around" horse. She looks very even tempered and very willing. I dont do much english any more but i do enough to say that your horse needs a tad bit more free movement in her shoulders for english. not dockin ya points or anything,, just tryin to help. Very VERY nice mare ya have there...Good Luck!

When doing showmanship the horse should not move the back leg there turning on. If they do I'm pretty sure they weren't trained correctly. My mare is a grand champion in showmanship, and she always turns all the way around without moving the back leg she's turning with. Maybe that's just my horse, and my trainer. But I'm pretty sure there supposed to.
