  • jnklaz: the tab for this tune is in Ken Perlman's book simply titled "Clawhammer Banjo".

  • Wow this is just great! Where did you get the tabs?

  • that's an open back isnt it? nice playing.

  • Thanks everyone for the nice comments & ratings everyone! Surfandsand, It is indeed an SS-10, with a washcloth stuffed between the head up near the neck to mellow out the tone a bit. I try to play as close to the neck as I can, too - I really would like to get the neck scooped. It's got a great tone over the neck, but there's just not quite enough thumb clearance.

  • Absolutely a very pleasant one to listen to.

  • Great job !!!

  • well done! is that a saga ss10?...if so, I have that jo too!....your tone sounds better than mine though...did you do any modifications to it?

  • Get it where you can. You played that well. Thanks.

  • Thanks all. Yep, amelville, I learned this tune from Ken Perlman's book.

  • Pretty good.

  • Nice, Did you get this tab from Ken Perlman's Clawhammer book? Because I know that song in exact same fingering and i got it from that book.

  • Sounds great.

  • Excellent! Well played version of a great tune.

  • This is one of my favorite fiddle tunes. Nice work.

  • Nice! Post more clawhammer stuff!
