The vast majority of people who support BNP are low skilled workers in the lower band of income. They complain about not being able to compete with foreign labour. If they concentrated in addressing this instead of attacking competition they might not have this problem! It all depends on your point of view. Is someones nationality purely determined by them emigrating there? Or even being born there but as members of a different community group? Or is a nation an extended family with a shared ancestry, history and culture? I mean i could go to Tibet but it wouldn't mean I automatically become Tibetan, even if I was born of English parents there. My community would be English even if I was welcome in Tibet.

If however 1 million English went there then they would rightly be concerned about their identity as a nation. Surely the English have the right to their nationhood too? Its not immigrants per se thats the problem, but the sheer scale that then undermines and transforms English culture. I mean would everyone be really happy if every English village was multicultural? I think Ben can speak for himself without being used like this. I mean he may be proud of the nation he descends from.
