Mythic Devs have clearly stated many times that they have work going into Certain sounds and animations still. Some are just fine others not so much.

Depending on where this vid came from...If this was from CE/PW beta then it is not as far along as the Elder Beta Test servers.

I was on preview weekend with two dual-core 2.6 Xeons (totaling 4 cores), Radeon x1900 512mb, 9gb of ram, at 2560x1600. In crowded areas it got VERY choppy (sieges, etc.), and running on a smaller screen didn't seem to improve things at all. Your framerates seem much more fluid. Did you notice things further away from you being choppy? Like monsters in the distance weren't moving very fluidly, that sort of thing? Even in empty areas, more than 40 feet away and it was stuttery. Up close was ok.

Mythic uses (they used it on DAOC as well) a scaling engine that simplifies animations and graphics on characters far away from you, to increase performance in crowded situations. About your problem, i'm not sure. Maybe the game has problems with dual processors? You might want to report the problem if it persists in open beta.

I played this scenario at my friends house, since my computers not good enough for beta... Best fun ive ever had in an mmo. And you can bet your ass the huge explosions are amazing.
