Awesome for Maynard getting out there. However, he does not belong in any situation where the other fighter is actually serious about trying to break into the MMA in a real way. If some guy kicks him in the face as hard as he can in the low position Maynard is in he'll be labeled a horrible person for doing exactly what he should be doing--using a fair move to defeat your opponent in a violent contact sport.
btw maynard has no chance since it mostly down to a boxing match for red to sure win the match. In boxing an extra length of a few cm is a big difference. And nobody boxes that low. nobody trains low angle boxing. the power is less than half of normal boxing. red doesnt dare touch him cause he don't know whats coming for him.

This is totally sad. How could you ever be a mma fighter with no limbs? Anyone who knows anything about the sport knows it physically isn't possible. MMA consists of punching, kicking, and grappling. All of which require hands and feet. The guy is obviously in shape and maybe in a different life he could be a great mma fighter, but I feel bad for him because he is obviously being exploited. Increase ticket sales to see a "no limbed" guy get his butt kicked.
- I get it....he wanted to feel that rush....but the reality is that we can't all be MMA fighters. The promoters should have scuttled this as the commissions before had. I know they say you can do anything you set your mind to and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.... but I dunno, this is where I draw a line, its really hard to take an mma fight seriously when the fighter is a man without limbs, and for the opponent to have to hunch down to hit him is even more unethical, while I do oppose this, this DEFINITELY is inspirational

You guys are terrible. Just because he's a Congenital Amputee doesn't mean anything. He can still do everything and normal person can. He made it top 12 in Wrestling in the nation. He played football. He's a very brave and inspiring person. Read his book "No Excuses". It'll change you. I saw him speak. Just because they look different, doesn't mean anything. Remember that.

This is totally sad. How could you ever be a mma fighter with no limbs? Anyone who knows anything about the sport knows it physically isn't possible. MMA consists of punching, kicking, and grappling. All of which require hands and feet. The guy is obviously in shape and maybe in a different life he could be a great mma fighter, but I feel bad for him because he is obviously being exploited. Increase ticket sales to see a "no limbed" guy get his butt kicked.

- I get it....he wanted to feel that rush....but the reality is that we can't all be MMA fighters. The promoters should have scuttled this as the commissions before had. I actually felt that his wrestling endeavors made sense - I was a serious wrestler in high school and logistically it made sense. If he gets pinned then he gets pinned but there are no blows do the face. This shit smacks of 'freakshow'.
