Well this suv is nice but not really!! I have seen about 3 on them since they came out which means they are not very popular! I have the 2010 Cadillac escalade which is way better looking and way popular but I believe this infinity has more technology and beats the Cadillac escalade interior but from looks this suv sucks!
This SUV has literally taken over the roads since it first came out. I live in a pretty affluent area, although I do not own a Qx56 personally I do know however that this new QX has rapidly replaced the majority of Lexus LX, Mercedes GL and Range Rovers I use to see on people's drive ways not to long ago. I see this car every 5 minutes. Admittedly, the car is very different from a traditional looking SUV but thats why I think so many families are dropping $70K for a car like this.
Very nice interior..but I'm not crazy about the grill and the funky rear chrome plate. I prefer the more conservative looks of the Lexus LX SUV. But still..this is a nice SUV for sure.
You forgot to mention the auto stop and land departure feature which is way advance than other competitor with a lower price tag. I love my qx56 2012.

People from Europe might not like cars this type (SUV) because they rarely are driven there. It is a car mainly for N.America or some parts of Asia.

@D3m0nL0rd1 I think its an accurate thing to say. Nissan's are much more reliable then Dodge vehicles. They also have superior resale value. The Altima, Rogue, & 370Z respectively all have top or near top resale value in their respective class.I will say that the recent Dodge's of 2012, it appears as if they are doing a 360, but I need more time to see what they will do. Chrysler/Dodge always has had some subpar vehicles.
The Ram Longhorn is a fine truck though, I will at least say that.
@Illmatic662 Well i agree the Nissan have good resale value but the moment you drive off the lot you lose money, no matter what you buy and yes Chrysler did made some real lemons in the past but their current lineup is really impressive charger, challenger, cherokee, durango, ram and even 300 are really nice cars and frankly speaking there is not much in nissan's arsenal as good as these babies.
@D3m0nL0rd1 In terms of performance, yes. But at this time we do not know how well those new Chrysler's will hold up. 370Z and GTR are both respectively fine performing vehicles. GTR would also destroy any of those vehicles, but I guess that's for another debate. The newer Maxima is also a pretty nice car overall.
@Illmatic662 man GTR can destroy a Ferrari but is twice the price of a Charger and Challenger so it should be twice the car which it is. but reliability is just one thing to consider when you are buying a car, things like performance, looks, value, ride quality, comfort, built quality, fit and finish, technology, features, mpg's, etc. and not to forget fun factor are also part of the criteria. Maxima is a nice car but the only plus point its got is resale value maybe realiabily or mpgs

I know how you feel. A couple of years ago I never would have considered Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Volvo, etc. But I would buy any of those brands now, because they are making unique and compelling products.

Nissan Altima, Nissan Maxima, Nissan Titan, Dodge has nothing to compete with the leaf, 370z altima coupe and the list goes on... Chrysler's interiors have been spotty in the past quality wise but they have much improved. But nissans have never failed.

The maxima could be considered a competitor against the charger, but has much better interior quality..370z can compete with the challenger, and the GT-R will compete with ANY srt8's. Or you could say an M45 (old) is the chargers competitor since they both have V8's, but then again the Infiniti is more reliable and has better interior quality. Dont get me wrong I own both,

You cant really compare All nissans and dodges, But if I had a choice I would take a Nissan most likely... More reliable and better interior designs, but I will only buy American trucks.
@clarda1 well first of all on what grounds maxima can compete with charger? maxima is a good point a to point b car, it is neither sporty or muscular nor has the performance and the interior of rt max is just as good if not better. .370z is a nice car but not practical, just two seats and also down on power (no v8), its v6's is no better than hemi v8.
i love gtr but its price is almost double the challenger srt8 so no comparison there. besides nissan only got 1 hyper car and dodge got 2
@D3m0nL0rd1 Well the maxima does 0-60 in 5.7 Seconds and untill the 2011 R/T models that is the same as the V8 chargers, and is still faster than the V6 chargers so yes it is sporty and it handles well. The 370Z competes with the Challenger R/T and is only bits slower then the SRT8 with nearly double the engine. And what hyper car does Dodge have at the moment??? SRT8 IS fast, but it is not a hyper car, neither of them are.

@mballzhari because it was imported from america, the QX is upscaled from the armada, the armada is made in the United States, the Chevy Tahoe in Australlia is $75,000 for some reason because not only its imported but they move the driver side on the right side so it would be street legal in foreign country that drives on the left side of the road.

Just like an ugly piece of art. If it signed by Picasso its instantly valuable and worth a substantial amount of money. In this case Infiniti is the painter and the brand is essentially the value. Personally I think it looks great, its different from all the other traditional SUV's. Not to mention its interior is the best in its class, the interior defines luxury. Just like a Futuristic home, the exterior is controversial & unique the interior is inspirational and inviting. The QX makes sense!
I am a big Infiniti fan but the QX does hot hold any appeal to me at all. Apart from its desirable technological gizmos, it just looks bad. Check out the soon to be released Infiniti JX. It will blow the QX out of the water.

This car lacks finesse, exterior-wise. It's way too bulky. I've seen them in person, and they're about 6ft tall. The interior is fantastic, but for that price, it's simply too ugly.

@1337DementedOne That's based on opinion, although I Iove the Range Rover addmitingly its not the finest SUV on the market, quite frankly the RR is bland in design and for many its just a box on wheels, although both the QX and Range Rover have great interiors not much can be admired for their exteriors however at least the Infiniti has design quality and character unlike the Rang Rover just add cool LED headlights and some wheels with a $75K price tag to go with it, its all based on preference
Hopefully this new one is better than the previous. My Uncle has an 06 and it had tons of issues from suspension to electrical issues. A/C is weak as hell in 100F temps too.

When you see an Infiniti you know what it is, and thats what makes them distinct. Look at this QX56 both interior and exterior it is like nothing on the road.

@D3m0nL0rd1 I think its an accurate thing to say. Nissan's are much more reliable then Dodge vehicles. They also have superior resale value. The Altima, Rogue, & 370Z respectively all have top or near top resale value in their respective class.I will say that the recent Dodge's of 2012, it appears as if they are doing a 360, but I need more time to see what they will do. Chrysler/Dodge always has had some subpar vehicles.
The Ram Longhorn is a fine truck though, I will at least say that.

@Illmatic662 Well i agree the Nissan have good resale value but the moment you drive off the lot you lose money, no matter what you buy and yes Chrysler did made some real lemons in the past but their current lineup is really impressive charger, challenger, cherokee, durango, ram and even 300 are really nice cars and frankly speaking there is not much in nissan's arsenal as good as these babies.

@D3m0nL0rd1 In terms of performance, yes. But at this time we do not know how well those new Chrysler's will hold up. 370Z and GTR are both respectively fine performing vehicles. GTR would also destroy any of those vehicles, but I guess that's for another debate. The newer Maxima is also a pretty nice car overall.

@Illmatic662 man GTR can destroy a Ferrari but is twice the price of a Charger and Challenger so it should be twice the car which it is. but reliability is just one thing to consider when you are buying a car, things like performance, looks, value, ride quality, comfort, built quality, fit and finish, technology, features, mpg's, etc. and not to forget fun factor are also part of the criteria. Maxima is a nice car but the only plus point its got is resale value maybe realiabily or mpgs

@D3m0nL0rd1 I'm not being loyal to Nissan. I would say if anything I have an allegiance towards Infiniti as an M35 owner. I am a guy I don't have bias, I call things like I see it. The QX56 is a fine truck, that's what we were debating.
I know how you feel. A couple of years ago I never would have considered Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Volvo, etc. But I would buy any of those brands now, because they are making unique and compelling products.

Nissan Altima, Nissan Maxima, Nissan Titan, Dodge has nothing to compete with the leaf, 370z altima coupe and the list goes on... Chrysler's interiors have been spotty in the past quality wise but they have much improved. But nissans have never failed.

The maxima could be considered a competitor against the charger, but has much better interior quality..370z can compete with the challenger, and the GT-R will compete with ANY srt8's. Or you could say an M45 (old) is the chargers competitor since they both have V8's, but then again the Infiniti is more reliable and has better interior quality. Dont get me wrong I own both,

@D3m0nL0rd1 A 2001 Durango and a 06 G35x. The durango is much better for snow off road, and the infiniti is much better for speeding obviously. You cant really compare All nissans and dodges, But if I had a choice I would take a Nissan most likely... More reliable and better interior designs, but I will only buy American trucks.

@clarda1 well first of all on what grounds maxima can compete with charger? maxima is a good point a to point b car, it is neither sporty or muscular nor has the performance and the interior of rt max is just as good if not better. .370z is a nice car but not practical, just two seats and also down on power (no v8), its v6's is no better than hemi v8.
i love gtr but its price is almost double the challenger srt8 so no comparison there. besides nissan only got 1 hyper car and dodge got 2

@D3m0nL0rd1 Well the maxima does 0-60 in 5.7 Seconds and untill the 2011 R/T models that is the same as the V8 chargers, and is still faster than the V6 chargers so yes it is sporty and it handles well. The 370Z competes with the Challenger R/T and is only bits slower then the SRT8 with nearly double the engine. And what hyper car does Dodge have at the moment??? SRT8 IS fast, but it is not a hyper car, neither of them are.

and for your kind information 370z's sticker price is same as the challenger srt8 with a mammoth 6.4 hemi v8 that produces 470bhp and also the mpg for hemi is almost the same as you toothpick of an engine or what we call them "rice burners"

@mballzhari because it was imported from america, the QX is upscaled from the armada, the armada is made in the United States, the Chevy Tahoe in Australlia is $75,000 for some reason because not only its imported but they move the driver side on the right side so it would be street legal in foreign country that drives on the left side of the road.

America is the only place where a Lexus & Infiniti are considered affordable luxury cars. Here an Infiniti cost more then a German car.

@DutchManticore "Here", meaning China. lol =) I actually like Infiniti, they built beautiful cars and they are quite popular along with BMW, Lexus Audi and Mercedes Benz but the QX56 is very rare to see here, it to expensive, you would have to go to the rich parts of China in the Chaoyang district in Beijing just to see one. I like Infiniti but I dont know what to think about the Qx56 yet, its really weird looking but it has an undeniably drop dead gorgeous passenger cabin.

Just like an ugly piece of art. If it signed by Picasso its instantly valuable and worth a substantial amount of money. In this case Infiniti is the painter and the brand is essentially the value. Personally I think it looks great, its different from all the other traditional SUV's. Not to mention its interior is the best in its class, the interior defines luxury. Just like a Futuristic home, the exterior is controversial & unique the interior is inspirational and inviting. The QX makes sense!

This car lacks finesse, exterior-wise. It's way too bulky. I've seen them in person, and they're about 6ft tall. The interior is fantastic, but for that price, it's simply too ugly.

@1337DementedOne That's based on opinion, although I Iove the Range Rover addmitingly its not the finest SUV on the market, quite frankly the RR is bland in design and for many its just a box on wheels, although both the QX and Range Rover have great interiors not much can be admired for their exteriors however at least the Infiniti has design quality and character unlike the Rang Rover just add cool LED headlights and some wheels with a $75K price tag to go with it, its all based on preference

Hopefully this new one is better than the previous. My Uncle has an 06 and it had tons of issues from suspension to electrical issues. A/C is weak as hell in 100F temps too.
