it does work but the problem is getting the wifi to work. the wifi worked when i had 10.5.1. i installed 10.5.7 and tried to install the wifi kext and it wouldnt work on 10.5.7

Yup it will work on any thing that has C7XX which is basically the whole C700 series as long as it has C7 and then a number with letters. IT worked on my C714NR

The AMD chipset has some support for it (from hackers I mean). Look for Leo4allv3 on torrent sites. It has the latest support for AMD chipsets.

haha, it is only usefull to like 0.00001% of people out there...I was bored that day. Seriously, it works 98%. Only the audio jacks and sleep mode don't work.

Good video, but how is this better than having a real macbook. It is not fully functional, you cannot run updates, many of which are security updates(that is like running WinXp or Vista without security updates), you risk being sued by Apple for copyrigt infringement or Apple Eula violation. You are better off running dual boot with Winxp or vista and Ubuntu 8.04, which is fully updatable. Solutions to problems are also easy to find given the large Ubuntu support community.

Don't spread FUD. Security updates work fine on virtually all Hackintoshes, as do 99% of updates- they don't change anything like the core that would break the OS. The only update to watch out for are system updates- 10.5.4 works fine right from system update. 10.5.3 was one that could break the system.

As for all the silly 'being sued' by Apple nonsense, that's laughable.

You OWN this laptop, and it cost you $400-$500 vs. over $1000 for the Macbook that you DON'T have.

Glad it worked for you, hope someone on the insanelymac forums get the audio jacks working. I would do it myself, but the people over there are amazing...and I don't know how to "code" my own drivers :p
