How did you get inside Club 33 are you a member? I want to suprise my husband when we go in November and the waiting list for membership is too long. Does anyone know how we could get in without a membership or know of anyone who could make reservations for us?
Instead of this, I would suggest you go to Disney Orlando's Victoria and Alberts or Shula's Steakhouse. They are the top of the line and priciest too, but don't require a membership and probably have better food. If you are hung up on Disneyland, maybe do the Blue Bayou restaurant which is right outside the windows below Club 33.
Even then, you have to book a table about 60 days in advance, and to top it all off, the food is a BUFFET. Each guest has a minimum bill of $60 per meal. It is intended to be a corporate sponsored perk, like a luxury box at a sports stadium.
You're right. Its designed to be a corporate perk. Any one in business that wining and dining a client is a business must. What easier sell is there than Disneyland?
This isn't designed for locals and tourists to waltz in and out of. There are many upscale places to eat around the city that rival this but are much better prices.
One flaw I see with the corporate perk is that reservations must be made 60 to 90 days in advance. Maybe the corporations just reserve dates and then figure out who the guests will be as the date approaches.
Only way in is to be invited by a member. There are only about 500 members. They are not taking any new applications for memberships until 2010, and even then it's like an 8 year wait. About $9000 to join, and $3000 per year to remain a member. Memberships non-transferable.
Ate in there once. A friend actually worked there and got us in as a treat. Loved it. Had the stiffest Mai Tai of my life at Club 33. The only place to get booze in Disneyland, and it was the GOOD stuff.
Disney World serves alcohol in many of it's restaurants. Walt probably prohibited it in Disneyland. I would not go to any restaurant based upon it's booze. If you want a stiff Mai Tai, just tell the bartender to make it stiff.
Being rich won't do it. Knowing someone with a membership who will invite you is the way. Try and find one of the 500 members in the world. Many of the memberships are owned by corporations.
