  • If you could hear the real one from Hoyt!

  • Brownsville station did this too !

  • singer reminds me so much of axl

but they sound a bit like the cure

  • Grymmebra!

  • The best looking male singer aver:))))))))))))) and still is

  • They're swaying to & fro on bleachers. Groovin'!

  • For you young'uns who may not know, this song was written by a country and western star from the 60's named Hoyt Axton. It was then made famous by a folk singer, Arlo Guthrie. And now by these guys. That's some evolution. I'm 60 years old and liked all three versions, even this one. This one might even be my favorite.....which is not much of a stretch when you realize that I grew up with Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Butterfly, etc.

  • nasty scuicide is cool as FUCK!

  • I just want to drink my GIn

  • But I need Cadillac car.

  • Greatest band. Hanoi Rocks forever

  • @mrlee192 i can but will just be the music no video

  • i am this song

  • Still remember the day when I saw this 1st time in the finnish telly back in the day...years before internet and allkinda tubes:D

  • Video is suck, sry BUT HANOI ROCKS RULEZ !

  • 5 persons are idiots

  • Wonderful song

  • 5 dudes thumbed down cuz they dont look as good in lipstick

  • THE ART OF BEING HONEST !!!

  • They broke up because Sami took Andy's girlfriend and left the band. You know the girl Andy wrote 1,000,000 love songs about... "may as well kill me now", etc. It did not have much to do with Razzle... may he RIP.

  • I love this band! great song!

  • what happened to Razzle? i hear so many diff stories

  • @destiny21miller Razzle got killed in a car accident. :-( Vince Niel was driving drunk and wrapped his Corvette around a poll killing instantly Razzle..

  • @roodbrood it was a De Tomaso Pantera, not a corvette.

  • @sgogiz1 Thanx for info. Drinking and driving is very stupid and dangerous. I have witness many loses due to such action. :-(

  • Comment removed

  • @roodbrood thats why I dont like Vince neil

  • @loser1802 True Vince Neil did not think of thr dire consequences.

  • @roodbrood He didnt die instantly and it wasnt a corvette, get your facts right, or at least close!!

  • @MrJuustokas Wow!!! Take it easy buddy... The bottom line is Razzle died in a car crash due to Vince Niel drunken stupidity. Chill

  • i love his face from 1:09 - 1:12 xD somehow expresses very much about their spirit

  • they have a cool sound, but these lyrics are crappy

  • Comment removed

  • @donnjuansohn I stand corrected (by myself). I double checked and these lyrics were originally written by Hoyt Axton and performed by Arlo Guthrie. I do believe they are the original lyrics though, as I had the cassette tape of Guthrie performing them in either 1970 or 71.

  • such a great, unique band! man did the world miss out on them.

  • were is andy mccoy? :/

  • @sgogiz1 he's playing the flying v... i think

  • @knifeinthedarkness docent look like him at all

  • Gotta love Hanoi

  • This is the greatest video I've ever seen. I can't believe after decades I never saw this. THANK YOU.

  • Andy is fucking badass in this video.

  • great song!!!!

  • How'd that sound now? Still cool, guess what

  • bad bad thing.....I want them back!!!! so much crap on radio and mtv like mike said in pple like me.......we need hanoi!!!!!!!!

  • Enigmatic Rock StarZ

  • Their were so underrated. They influenced many bands in the 80´s and they deserverd some fame. And their music is awesome. of course.

  • I Love this!!

  • Good version!

  • This is one of my favourites from Hanoi!

  • The version of this I know is from Arlo Gutrie's album Hobo's Lullaby.

  • Pretty boys. Great tune.

  • this was wrote by hoyt axton

who was largley considered to be country

    back in the day....

i think he was even on the country show HEE...HAW.. before.

  • IN THE LIGHTNING BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of my favorite Hanoi songs. Thanks for posting.

  • Woo Brownsville Station did this!!

    LANE

  • Dude theres nothing better than Hanoi and it really sucks that they are so undervalued! :(

  • @31G31G31G yess!!!

  • Too obvious, fantastic dear sound

  • Yeah i totally agree. The sound in this song and the others in Oriental Beat album are very clean. But many people think this album has the worst sound. I don't know why. I think Bangkok Shocks Saigon Shakes Hanoi Rocks and 2 Steps From The Move don't have good sound though.

  • @squirtkiller I think they wanted the sound they had in the other albums like Bangkok Shocks Saigon Shakes Hanoi Rocks.. That was like, The Hanoi Rocks sound.. I love all of their albums in the 80's though.. :D

  • @Nissebaill: Yeah, maybe the sound of Bangkok Shocks Saigon Shakes Hanoi Rocks representative the early Hanoi Rocks, but i think if some one enjoy listening it too much they're not gonna like Two Steps From The Move - the album that has many goods songs but as a record, the sound is really bad. Maybe i'm just in the minority :D

  • Good things from Finland: Nokia, Hanoi Rocks, Hurriganes and Peer Günt. If you don't know Hurriganes and Peer Günt search them with these words: Hurriganes Roadrunner and Peer Günt I don't wanna be a rock n' roll star.

  • @molopookus Nokiassa mitään hyvää alueena tai brändinä

  • Greatest rock band of all times. One of few really good finnish rock n roll bands. Unfortunately not any more :´(

  • @Laamanen7 look up vains of jenna with lizzy

  • ふつくしいっ!

  • Weird how such a poofy-looking bunch of metros are prob'ly scoring a helluva lot more roots than me. Good song!

  • i wouldn't consider them metrosexual. i think metrosexual is a more modern term for guys who care about how fashionable they look and are in touch with their feminine side. they are basically like a gay man except not. these guys are just bored rockstars who are trying to be controversial and get a rise out of people. they are influenced by what the new york dolls did.

  • Thank you for the succinct description of the metrosexual man. I,too, see myself,as one. I'm very fastidious about my clothes, hair, fragrance, etc. It's a joy to go out of your way to look nice, but ocassionally,i'm mistaken for gay. Especially at work. One time i had a pair of Alain Mikli glasses on and a co-worker said,'Oooh, look at the fanthy glatthes." I just ignore it. Wasting energy on fools is never a good thing.

  • Brilliant. Love the HR.

  • just can't figure out the correct chords. i'm an idiot...

  • I can't either. Even thought I have not tried that much.

But for the record, Andy's playing style and his chord progressions and overall everything he plays is unique. And that's why we love him. And Hanoi Rocks! :)

  • This always moves me so! The 1st Hanoi Rocks video I saw on tv in the early 80s, a great great song, the coolest band ever, the most gorgeous vocalist EVER and ain´t they so hilarious!! Luv.

  • Brownsville Station cover

  • love this band, they're one of my favorites. my favorite will always be motley crue, but these guys are definitly up there.

  • Yeah brother, Hanoi Rocks and Motley Crue have sure earned their place in the Rock N' Roll history.

  • my computer got crazy and switched my Dont you ever leave me for this, the vid, I had never been seen before.

    thanks my utube :)

  • I suspect all the members were completely smashed when they filmed this video! lol

  • Words to live by for sure. I can't think of a more appropriate song for my funeral service. I always loved this tune. So many bands fuck up there career and these guys were the poster child. Damn

  • commoventi

  • Smokin' in the boys room was covered by Motley Crue, not Hanoi Rocks, but fuck these guys were the best musicians ever!

  • smokin in the boys room is an old sixtie :P hanopi rocks or motley didnt wrote it at all :P

  • They got this off a Brownsville Station album - the one with "Smokin' in the Boys' Room." They play and sing it exactly the same.

Hoyt Axton also wrote "The Pusher" from themovie Easy Rider.

  • nice didnt know ...thks for the info

  • when i die play this at my wake

  • i love this song!!!<3

  • Artists! Stardom! I don't need no Caddy. I need this!

  • Hoyt Axton!!!!!! Look him up, he was so much more that the dad from "Gremlins". He wrote a shitton of songs you love!!1

  • This song makes me feel good.

  • oh um motleydrue666 im not a dude im a girl

  • can any one upload this song but with batter quality? btw... im going to see them tommorow in stockholm!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

  • i could upload the song but not the video

  • n odiamonds rings !

  • They all look so sweet here

  • sweet !!

  • the reson why i know this song is because my mom has a whole bunch of hanoi rocks cds and she always plays them in the car when ever she goes somewhere in the car and i usally go with her when i can and i always sing dead by xmas this song and a lot of others and i always get them stuck in my haed and im only 9!!

  • Oh I whish that my mom had Hanois cds.. So I guess that I have to buy them by myself

  • my ex-girlfriends mum was the coolest mom ever.

she saw aerosmith in the 70's, and black sabbath, went half deaf on motley crues feelgood tour, and generally loved glam.

she was a cool babe. shame she is now dead, but she sure had fun while she was here

  • My mom doesn't even know who Hanoi Rocks are. o.O

  • wow dude i wish i knew how to use a computer when i was 9.

  • These guys kick ass, Mike Andy and the gang. They set a precedent for an amazing genre of music and they, collectively, will be missed in the world of rock n roll. ♥Hanoi Rocks

  • yeah, awesome aint it?

  • fuckin awesome!

  • Was the only cover we used to play late 80's. amzingly catchy, sing it for days once you hear it!!!!!!

  • superb band , so many good songs but this one is right up there

  • totally ahead of their time

    but really low budget

for some reason, cheapness and rock really work well together

  • michael monroe is sooooo pretty

  • I agree<33333333

  • You can just see them all dying to jump around and go crazy! :)

Man this band is the best.

  • Heheh... they all look so static in this video! It's not a true reflection of the energy and acrobatics that Hanoi put into their live shows, that's for sure!

  • whhw this video reflects this awesome song... just be sit ina a bar drinking wine as an alcooholic, they """"dance"""" like drunk.

  • I liked this version. I saw a comment that indicated the Hoyt Axton did it originally or at least wrote it, but Arlo Guthrie also did it. I would love to see someone post Guthrie's version. I used to have a tape with his version on it back in the 70's.

  • Love the guitar part between the chorus and verse.

Plus, Andy Mccoy looks like Cisse Häkkinen in this video.

  • "Oh yeah when I die don't bother me

Well don't bury me at all

Just place my livin' lovin' laughin' bones

In a jar of alcohol" - this is awesome!!! Yeah, don't bother me to after my death! :)

  • I ment "don't bother me too after my death"

  • i was going to post the same, this is awesome.

its the perfect life to live in a bar with thar cheap ripple wine watching cars going bye :p

  • when I first heard this song, I thougt that Mike sings "just place my livin'lovin'laughtin' balls" not "bones". I've listened CD version for many times and I still think that Mike sings "balls"...

  • whack on! love this shit! Always have

  • i love this song!!!<3

  • hahaa! Greatest Hanoi song ever! I just love the part when he shouts, EVERYBODY NOW! Hanoi Rocks! And Finland rocks :) Though all of you people should buy Hanoi records besides the shitty Him records.

  • Agreed, him sucks monkey balls :D

  • :) Nightwish was OK when Tarja Turunen was there, but now with the new singer... :((

  • I didn't really like Nightwish even when they had old singer... I just like good old rock n' roll like Hanoi Rocks...

  • I agree, HIM's music could be much more better than it is but it isn't so bad than it wouldn't be worth listening! They have few goods songs, some songs that could be good if someone moderate them and some songs that you can trow away emmediately. But Ville has got very good voice. Yeah, of course, quality of their music is far away from Hanoi Rocks. HR is absolute classic. Love them or hate but you can't ignore them! I chose love.

  • Well, the reason I Hate HIM, is that i think their songs are boring and Ville Valo sings in a very, very, veeery boring way. Its not like I couldnt listen to HIM but its just so BORING music that I could fall asleep when I listen to it!

  • geat song <3

  • This theme is from Self Destruction Blues. I don't know what is doing in oriental beat hahhaha it should come next to "i want you"

  • The first time I heard this song I thought he said," I just wanna drink my nipple wine..."

    Silly me. xD

  • MICHAEL IS SO UNDESCRIBABLY HOT. <3

  • classic, naturally. always wondered what good ole boy Hoyt Axton would have thought of this cover.

  • nicely danced(: wish i've got that kind of hair too!!

  • THEY ARE NOT EMO. THEY ARE GLAM!!!

  • Hanoi Rocks ALWAYS have been the BETTER Stones !!!

  • 80's EMOs

  • What babes, great song, too bad the quality of the video is poor.

  • JEEZ, could that be!!! I'm probably just so used to the hat, that that's all I'm looking for, Thnks for pointing it out, sweets!

  • Great video....am I blind, or do I not spot Andy McCoy anywhere...or does he look that different without his hat and signature smile??? Still, great vid, always a pleasure to see old-time hanoi Rocks!!! Thanks!

  • well.. he's on the right side and he plays with V-guitar. :) i think that's our andy.
