  • a guitar with a sewing machine motor! now i have seen everything lol! i wonder what that sounds like. you can play the back stitch after 25 measures of inseam

  • Seriously, that's just too many guitars... I have 3 guitars and I play them all day, collecting too much is stupid... Sell all your bursts except your three most beloved ones and play the shit out of them!

  • I like the guys that have a few guitars and one favorite, and play the shit out of them! SRV, Jimi, Keith, Brian May, Jimmy Page, Rory Gallagher...Etc. They could play whatever instrument they wanted, but they found one or two special ones that were their voice. To pull so many fantastic instruments out of the playing field is sad. Preserving some is obviously valid, but who knows if one of these instruments could have been the next great "voice"...Guess we need to keep building some great ones!

  • my dream house!!

  • Slay the dragon hoarding guitars or find the hobbit to steal them.

  • good luck to them but i tell you one thing ,these guys must be absolutely loaded to afford such beautiful instruments.imagine waking up feeling a bit down open a door and walk into a room full of these fabulous guitars...instant high.

  • How many 59 LP's does a person need or how many pre-CBS strats does a person need. I have about 30 guitars but to tell you the truth I was happier when I got my 1st LP 3 pup Custom. That was my 1 guitar until I bought a Flying Vee as a spare. My main guitar is a Musicman Silhouette and my Custom sits at home with my Vee and the other guitars I have. I can't imagine why someone would want 3,000 or 5,000 guitars. Just losers with money who wanna be top dog.Cheers

  • wouldnt it be great if people that actually made good music could own these guitars and PLAY THEM instead of just keeping them in a vault/museum.

  • That "Guitar Sanctuary" place in the first panning bit, is right down the road from me. :D

  • kudo's to you..ahhh the romantic era... franz liszt..les preludes...my theme song..they say paganini's manner of dress, behavior and that of his groupies would rival a '72 after concert rolling stones party.

  • great idea

  • the enormously wealth owner of almost all the most valuable 300 year old violins makes arrangements for the world class players to come and play them...documents their performances on video for all to see. these fellows should follow suit. it's called good stewardship of something that is both a work of art AND a tool to create and perform art.

  • Have 1 guitar but PLAY it!

  • @usalespaul59 i used to be like that - i now have 2 guitars - a long way to go - happy new year

  • this is my version of a brothel! :)

  • old or new a guitar is ment to be played not stared at. Collections are cool and all but come on. i feel sorry for such a amazing guitar having to be out on a wall not to be played. i mean if it was pages 59 burst , hendrixs 68 strat, or like claptons blackie put those up man! I wouldnt play those!

  • @dylancollver hi dylan, respect your views but toms guitars do get played and robs!!! well it would take him a week to get round them, but he intends leaving his collection to a museum and then your grandchildren will be ablle to see an amazing collection - just my thoughts, have a good day

  • never let pete townsend into your museum lool!

  • Hoarder

  • i hear rob has just bought his 51st coronado - must be the most complete collection in the world

  • I can't even get one Les Paul....

  • Guitar heaven in there. I could quite easily move there and live in that place with all those guitars and i'd be a happy man!

  • @sidneyandherbie Tom's collection might be quite small, but he's been seen at guitarshows trading guitars since the 80's. (Maybe even earlyer) It's guys like Tom why prices are so high and there are no vintage guitars available for players. And it's his guitarshowbuddys that would try to make a buck out of his guitars when he dies.

  • You spend your entirle life collecting guitars and then you die..wishing you spend your life playing them.

  • @KitchenMarshall hi but what a way to go - doing what means the most to you - i only play 2 guitars but enjoy other peoples and their collections

  • @sidneyandherbie the person with the most toys still dies. lol

  • @ncmgcm good one - had to look up 6.02 - coronado fetish

  • These are all amazing guitars but if no one's playing them, then they aren't great guitars at all.

  • @lllULTIMATEMASTERlll hi, we got to play a few and hope to do so again - i agree guitars should be played

but when you see such a complete collection really well documented it makes you appreciate what rob has achieved and the hard work it takes finding the missing ones and preserving them

  • The first two minutes suck ass

  • This is just amazing! I own a 76 Strat, a 71 Les Paul and a 1976 Es-335- but this is just wow.

  • Musician porn! Just great.

  • Oh my word.

  • Can you imagine.......putting new strings on all those guitars like every two months or so. That hobby will be a lifes work xD

  • beautiful
