  • I own this movie and i watched it and when i saw this part i thought to myself oh my god this movie would be better with the RIDDLER. I'm right am i not.

  • the joker has a annoying laugh

  • The sound of great music...

  • I'm dead, but let's put a SMILE IN THAT FACE.

  • this part scared the shit out of me when i was little....

  • Pat Hingle was the worst Gordon ever.

  • Dislike^

  • Does anyone have a link to this as a download? It would make an awesome ringtone or alert.

  • @bruhgeta Go to flvto.com to convert the sound of this video into an mp3.

  • @unpictures1 Thanks man! I'm going to have a lot of fun with this.

  • IAM THE PHINXIST so if you commited to "phinxist" it is me but my acount is not rememberd...... just so you know

  • creepy

  • how are you able to laugh when your dead?

  • I never saw this movie but I'm hooked on this scene

  • @TheShadowbowser1 Go do something about it! It's arguably the best Batman movie, although I'm sure the fans of The Dark Knight and Mask of the Phantasm disagree with me ^^

  • I guess he.....

    *puts sunglasses on*

....Its too dark with these on *takes glasses off*

    What was I talking about?

  • This scene was the one that intorduced me to the idea of symboism,

  • "He who laughs last ..Laughs best..." ( Or they are slow at getting the joke)...

  • is everyone stupid enough to believe that's real?

  • @EpicRavenclaw42 I don't even think he really died here, anyway. 1, if you look carefully at this scene the grappling hook wire wasn't on his leg and there was no blood on his chin like there was before he fell.

  • @bocs211 Originally, the script for Batman Returns was gonna mention that Jack Napier's body disappeared from the morgue, however it was cut from the shooting script.

  • @starkiller20293 Really? I never knew that. Where'd you find that out from, if you don't mind my asking?

  • @bocs211 I read it like a year to back on a few websites about batman Returns, sorry :/

  • @starkiller20293 It's cool. There are so many sights out there, it could be any number of them. I don't remember most sites I go to, particularly if they're new unless they're well known or something.

  • @bocs211 ah you do realize the left side his head is missing right

  • halarious

  • If you gotta go....Go with a smile :)

  • at least he died whit a smile

  • This is my ringtone, I just LOVE that sound. It is so incredibly horrific and malicious.

  • @TheTrevortrowbridge now its my ringtone lol

  • Does anybody know what was in the freakin' bag?

  • @MyDestroyer92

I think it was a little speaker that was giving out the laugh noise

  • when I saw this and it almost made me pee my pants I thought he waz still living

  • good cell-phone tune ^^

  • Like his plastic surgeon once said, "if you gotta go, go with a smile!"

  • i guess the joker always does get the last laugh =w=

  • can someone tell me what the name of this old joker movie is called?

  • @MrDUDEMIR This movie? It's simply called Batman. If you want to look it up, it might also help to know it was released in 1989. :)

  • @Overblade9 thanks

  • @MrDUDEMIR You're welcome! :D

  • @MrDUDEMIR

I believe your familar with the new movies and didn't know there was a Batman movie before there has been many Batman movies over the years since the 40s

  • This was the first film I ever saw in a cinema.

  • @plarkmoby Lucky Bastard!

  • When I saw that scene as a kid I was like "What the hell is going on..."It's so creepy! One of the best moments in the whole movie and one of the best WTF moments EVER!

  • i love it the dead guy gets the last laugh and the brooding bat gets punishment in a way cuz to be honest what i pick up from watching the batman films and series and reading the comics he always wants his next fight to be his last but it never is because he's the batman bitch !!!!

  • Joker got the last laugh..

  • @woodfield8 I like them all too. Jack Napier was pretty good too

  • Jack Nicholson's Joker was the one who really spooked me as a six year old kid.

  • should have exploded, that would have been priceless

  • This always scared the hell out of me.

  • Legendary.

  • All we wanted to do is kill people is that so wrong???????

  • I allways thought that Tim Burton couldent get out of his edward scissor hands mode

  • I believe that Tim Burton made Nicholson's Joker to have an eccentric edge to him. It was gothic yet humorous. I love both Nicholson's and Ledger's portrayals of The Joker but Heath's was more twisted and evil while Nicholson decided to go more on a comedic and lighter approach.

  • I'd just like to say...that this laugh is gay as fuck

  • @25Ragz

On a final note, anyone who calls something gay just because they don't like it is infinitely more ignorant than those of us who prefer Jack's performance as Joker. Any further comments from you will be ignored.

  • That's got to be the creepiest moment in all Batman history. Well done Jack >:) .

  • The one who laughs last... laughs best!!

  • heath is better

  • @ben6077 well he died hee he hooo haa haa haa heee heee heee hoo ha

  • @paintballftw69 yeah tell me about it joker always laughs on every scene not like heath ledger as the joker.

  • That laugh is creepy

  • how he died amd his last laugh that was epic! perfect gotham city ending lol

  • never got this scene whats in the bag

  • @TheDrYes It's an old novelty joke thing called a "Bag-o-Laughs". Basically there's a speaker box in it.

    It's making the laughing noise.

  • @TheDrYes The thing that makes that noise :)

  • Nicholson's Joker is unbeatable!

Maybe at his funeral a cut from this laugh will insert.

  • that should have been the ending to the dark knight! its epic!

  • The Best Laughing EVER!

1 dislikes - DEATH Fears Jack Nicholson!!!

    yeah

  • I can't look at one of these classic videos without seeing all these butt sore Nolan fans bitching about why some people thought Nicholson was a better Joker than Ledger. Seriously fanboys, people can have an opinion; if they don't agree with you, tough shit deal with it :D!!!

  • Looks and listen everyone Jack's joker is the true COMIC BOOK joker and he played it phenominal! Not Heath is in a league of his own bc he played REAL LIFE joker to a T! Mark Hamill had the VOICE and LAUGH down for Joker! I LOVE EVERYONE OF THEM BC THEY ARE IN THEIR OWN LEAGUE STOP THIS DEBATE BC U KNOW THAT THEY CAN NOT COMPARE TO EAC OTHER!!

  • @Juwan2good Thank you, people need to learn to take all the Joker's. They all are very unique and great. What makes them great and unique is none of them are a re-iteration of the other.

  • The best laugh ever...

  • I liked the scene where the huge bell drops all the way

down then goes CLANG! when it hits the bottom.

  • this scene is the only thing that stuck in my head when i saw this movie as a child lol

  • it would have made more sense if jokers main goal throughout the entire movie was to force batman to kill him..... then this scene would have made more sense since he actually does have "the last laugh"

  • I don't ever think people will stop comparing both jack and health but we can agree both were kickass actors who nailed that role

  • Why can't people stop comparing Nicholson to Ledger? They both played totally different characters. And I bet there are people out there who could have played The Joker better than both of them combined.

  • Heath Ledger played an amazing role as the joker......but Jack was still better

  • @TheJosephJinx

    What about Mark Hamill

  • @Johnlindsey289 Jack was better than him too.

  • @TheJosephJinx You are mentally fucking retarded.Jack suck dick compared to heath.haha fucking idiot.

  • @25Ragz Heath was just a freak as the joker. Jack was funny and scary

  • @25Ragz he was not scary or funny.

  • @TheJosephJinx fuck no!

  • @DANGERwildman732 Yes o_o

  • @TheJosephJinx ha no

  • @DANGERwildman732 Ha yes O.o

  • @TheJosephJinx HA you're fuckin stupid

  • @DANGERwildman732 HA suck your boyfriends cock

  • @TheJosephJinx HA youre really gunna talk shit over youtube? CLEARLY Heath Ledger played a better and more interesting and unique Joker role

  • @DANGERwildman732 CLEARLY we all have different opinions and millions of people will disagree that Heath was better. It may be a 20 year difference between movies but Jack was simply a better actor....and yes I'm gonna talk shit over YouTube...it's YouTube, what did you expect? Pixies and rainbows? i don't think so kis

  • @TheJosephJinx haha no. i wouldnt even have thought for a second to say what you just did. but whatever i dont give a fuck. im pretty sure the percentage would be more leaned towards heath

  • @DANGERwildman732 I very strongly doubt that sir ^.^

  • @DANGERwildman732 What's with you buttsore Nolan fans that HAVE to comment on Nicholson Joker videos? You like Ledger's better fine, but there are people that appreciate Nicholson's awesome job at the character. Learn to accept another side's opinion.

  • @TheJosephJinx Come on his story was terrible and he dies in the end. Which are you telling me Joker and Batman just had one villain in the Burton world? Also this Joker wasn't slick or he didn't really do anything.

  • @Charlesperalo This kind of Joker was one that could be humorous at times at very serious at others. The Heath Ledger Joker was mostly just a freak who never really took things seriously....

  • @TheJosephJinx Yet that's sorta what the Joker is suppose to be. He's suppose to be the opposite of Batman yet they're still very similar. While Batman is always serious Ledger never was. He simply killed for some code of his just like Batman wont for his code. Both had problems early on so the Joker chooses to remain a child inside and Batman remains serious. Now regarding these two we can both agree they're not to compare. It's like comparing Harry Potter to Pan's Labyrinth.

  • @TheJosephJinx If you want a more serious movie the Dark Knight easily. Yet if you want a more popcorn cartoon like film sure 89 Batman rocks in that area.

  • @Charlesperalo Popcorn kicks ass so I'll take the 89 Batman

  • @TheJosephJinx That's fine yet you understand where I'm coming from being a fan of harder films?

  • @Charlesperalo No not at all I'm just agreeing with what you say because I'm stupid....clearly

  • @Charlesperalo Its a comic book movie- Its supposed to be distant from reality which is why people like myself used to read comic books to get away from reality.(Which sucks by the way) I dont see everybodys need to see a comic book movie as a serious/realistic movie. Its supposed to be the impossible and not of this world.

  • @TheJosephJinx i agree 100%, sadly most people feel you can't like both.

  • i keep picturing woody woodpecker on some kind of drug going round..and round...and round a tree for some weird reason or other HAHAHA

  • i can NEVER keep a straight face when i am watching this scene...

    Kudos to Jack's Joker Yayy!

    LOVE that JO-KER ^_~

  • But.... They Had Another Movie....?

  • @speeddemon701 it happens ALL the time, with almost every superhero movie. the villian dies but then they make a newer one that sortof "reboots" the villian. it atcually would suck alot if joker just stoped being in batman movies just because of this one death scene

  • @speeddemon701 who ever said that that was him who was lying there it could be a twin joker or a acomplise he could of ran of when the police was on there way to him

  • what would really happen to a man if he fell that far

  • @MR4DJ0N he'd probably be all over the pavement rather than in one piece.

  • @MR4DJ0N KA-SPLAT!!!!!

  • as a kid I thought the bag would explode

and kill this fat old brainless commisioner who did nothing in all 4 90sbatman movies ;p

  • This was creepy as shit as a kid.

  • There's a tribute to that looping laughter in Dead Rising. Adam the Clown has a tape recorder with laughter that plays after his death, but since he fell on his chainsaws, the laughter dies down as the chainsaw cuts through the recorder.

  • it was a robot

  • "hee hee hee hee ha ha ha ha hee hee hee hee ha ha ha ha" - That's how I thought the laugh sounded when I first saw this scene at the age of 10.

  • IF YOU GOTTA GO! GO WITH A SMILE!

  • It seems everyone was freaked out by this scene as a kid, myself included (of course, I didn't get the whole 'last laugh' gag). That permanent grin, even after death, is still creepy, though.

  • This scene gave me the creeps when I was a kid... still does :P

  • i laugh at this scene everytime ironic isnt it

  • One of the several movies that its video game doesn't suck :D

  • This creeped me out as a child.

  • It's so contagious that creepy laugh :)

  • Ah, so deliciously creepy... :) *insert sinister laugh here*

  • ...Thanks for the nightmares. oO

  • People can we PLEASE for the love of God stop debating Jokers. They are two totally different generations and two totally different renditions. Let's just enjoy them!

  • I notice the blood on his chin from his death scene is gone.

  • @FerneJohn remember blood can clean up in mins

  • ledgers laugh is better

  • So Jack Nicholson has Lil' Cal in a bag in his pocket.

  • The bag is laughing because Jack got some ketchup on his face.

  • @Imaffia2 LOL

  • Hhahahahahhah ahahhahah ahahhah Best Batman Ever hahah ahahhah ahahahh hahah ahahahh ahahahha

  • Creepy

  • @tictoctactic

Anyone who says Heath didn't do an amazing job is out of their mind. The way I see it, it's not a question of who was the better actor, it's more which take on the Joker is better, and I respect your stance.

  • creepy? nightmares? scary? c'mon people, after 22 years this shit is just plain FUNNY. its still one of my all-time favorite crack-up moments in cinema. xD

  • And the Police don't mind what Batman did to him? I mean he could have at least left him tied up for them to pick him up.

  • @steveclips It's not lie Batman killed the Joker. He just try to stop him.

  • They had the balls to actually give us a satisyfying ending. Wish I could say the same for the movies today.

  • Its a laughing bag guys, its a old gag trick. How old are some of you anyways?

  • No Joker comes close to making me laugh like Jack Nicholson! No one will EVER come close to playing the Joker better than him!

  • @DJCandyManMike someone already did

  • @Br3ana2008

    Pray tell who did it.

  • @DJCandyManMike Damn right ^_~

  • @DJCandyManMike bull shit Ledgers joker was way better and it was more closer to the joker in the comics im not saying jacks joker was bad its just burtons idea of the joker is wrong

  • @redsoxxx1234

Number one, that's your opinion, number two, what are you watching a Jack Nicholson video for if you're a Ledger fanboy?

  • @DJCandyManMike not to be a dick but thats the opinion of most people

  • @redsoxxx1234

Not to be a dick myself, but thank goodness I ain't most people!

  • @redsoxxx1234 it was true to the blueprint, the model of the Joker has changed over the years: he always had a clown appearance, and was made more humorous and as well as dark as the years passed. This illustrated the joker's transformation, from Jack to Joker(movie wise) not just Jack Nicholson being his usual psycho self.

  • @DJCandyManMike Except Mark Hamill. No offense.

  • @killer92173

Mark Hamill can't make me laugh like Jack does in this role. Not even close.

  • @DJCandyManMike Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Jack Nicholson's Joker. Like you said, his Joker makes us laugh like no other Joker does. But Mark Hamill's Joker is more true to the comics. I always use Mark Hamill's voice when I read the comics.

  • @killer92173

One of these days, I'll watch the animated series a bit more. Admittedly, I'm not really familiar with Mark Hamill's work there, but he did do a superb job as Goro Majima in the first Yakuza game for PS2! I had NO idea that was him, and when I read it was him, I was like, "No fucking way!" That right there proves that Mark does a hell of a job voice acting, and I think this is one role I need to pay closer attention to.

  • @killer92173

"I always use Mark Hamills voice when I read the comics"

    Dude- me to!

  • @DJCandyManMike Mark Hamill. And Heath Ledger.....

  • @mayhoo22

Neither of them can make me laugh like Jack, and just naming names convinces me of nothing.

  • @DJCandyManMike No offense but in my opinion Heath Ledger was the BEST live-action Joker and Mark Hamill the best animated one.

  • @Sadowski40

You're entitled to your opinion, and I respect it even if mine is different.

  • @DJCandyManMike Fair enough :)

  • @Sadowski40 correct.

  • @DJCandyManMike Someone already did man, his name was Heath Ledger.

  • Comment removed

  • @DJCandyManMike It's not really just my opinion, it's the vast majority of the world's opinion too. And his performance, regardless of which you liked better, was a BILLION times better than Jack's. Also, are you calling me a troll or Ledger's Joker a troll? WTF?

  • @pred117

Again, your statement on Jack's performance being inferior is merely opinion. And I'm calling you the troll. As for the other statement, thank goodness I'm not the majority of the world! I dare to be different!

  • @DJCandyManMike I'm clearly not a troll you tool. And if by different you mean stupid, then yeah. And NO, it's not my opinion that his performance is better, are you for real? the point of acting is to become a different person, is it not? yet Jack really was just playing Jack in clown make up, while i can't even tell that's ledger in the dark knight, all i see is the Joker.
