Geoffrey the Giraffe was the best-known symbol of "Toys 'R' Us", the nation's biggest chain store specializing in children's toys (and other kid-friendly merchandise) in the '70s, '80s, and '90s. Today, it's a shadow of its former self, and you rarely hear about Geoffrey, Gigi {his wife} and Baby Gee {their kid} these days. Ralph Stein was a prollific producer of albums for Golden/Wonderland in the '60s and '70s, and this was a VERY clever way of promoting the store without even mentioning it..
