@Facestomper666 kenwood is pretty lame but for 90 bux for amp and sub can't complain. i was broke as fuck, couldn't afford the $2000 system i have now. and i'm not tryin to act like nothin i'm just me. ghetto ass european white boy.
@Hless421 i got kenwood old 4 channel it works alright if i need to use it but yes upgrade no problem the dude was saying you was being a wankster for some reason but good box idea or its good to try diff stuff
@Hless421 you were concerned about weigh? i never heard about weight having anything to do with bass. but anyways, credit where credit is due. it looks like you're getting some really clean bass from that setup. good job
@LordPS3 yea my shock on the rear left is shot so i try save on weight where i can so the tire doesn't rub. nothing to do with the bass i konw lol. the setup i have now weighs quite a bit between the 40 lb battery, 20 lbs for the amps, 50lbs for the subs and prolly another 30-40 lbs for the box
@Hless421 dude. why don't you just replace the shocks? unless you're looking to upgrade to performance suspension, replacing that should be really cheap
@Hless421 But you were actually making it weigh more by having the port external and needing to use MDF to make all sides of the port...vs using a slot port inside the box that uses the top/bottom/side as the other three sides of the port.
I have two 10" sony xplodes and im hinking of building a single box. What i am thinking about doing is keeping a dividor in the middle and running an octoport for each one seperatly. they both rms at 300 but peak at 1100 i dont have the software to figure out my sizes. so for a general idea what do you think my cubic feet should be, and how long/big should i build the octoports? any other suggestions you have would be appreciated
@brandon54eaglepride if you plan on using a monoblock or a bridged amp you should just put them both in the same air space. For the airspace i would say 1.25 cubes for each sub after displacement. The only reason i can think of to divide the chambers is if you run them off 2 channels. As for the size and length of the octo port it's all about what tuning you want.
good times. that sub sounded really good but it had a couple major flaws that lead to it's death. the ridiculously high rms rating of 800w and the weak, single spider. i only used about 400w rms to power it and it still bottomed out. it normally takes twice the rms power rating for that to happen. audiobahn is flashy, great sounding, way overrated and poorly built.
@spencerearl1996 if you've got the money there's a dude named "dave the Box guy" who makes several enclosures with octoports ranging from boxes for 10s all the way up to 18s! The dude is sick! Just type in "dave the box guy" in the video search and check out his clips if you haven't already! He has a website where you can order an enclosure from, just hit him up!
i like dat port, try dis dong, oj da juiceman we buy the whole thang, oh and rkelly bump and grind, it slams if your sub gets low and my 12 did the job, try dem.
The box needs a 10" thats worthy

necesitas meterle una bocina mas, tengo la ligera impresion de que se pierde toda la presion del aire dentro, es mucho recinto para una bocina.

is there an advantage to having the port outside of the box other than larger box volume?
LordPS3 4 months ago
@LordPS3 Just makes it so the enclosure is smaller. In my case that's good because the box weighs less.

By the way if u built it right, u wouldn't have any vibration on the outside of the car. If ur going to do it, do it right..

@brandon54eaglepride get rid of that shit! get some audiobahn immortals, Audioque HDC3's or JL Audio W7's; then build a good box.
