  • I miss the old USA Network. :')

  • I can remember being a kid, watching the USA Network on a weekday afternoon from noon til five; nothing but game shows. If I recall correctly, things changed around '95 with their "USA Live" block.

  • Back in the day I could watch USA for HOURS, and see GREAT television. Game show blocks, Commander USA, night Flight, Up All Night, and Saturday Nightmares.

Now if I watched this, pile of shit, network, for hours I'd see 15 episodes of Law & Order. Fucking JOKE!

  • The network that put GSN to shame today for the way it treats classic game shows!

  • i saw this in 1992 i was 4

  • USA rocked in the 90's!

  • @Ilovemovies917 ...and freakin' how!!! :-D

  • Ahh...to be three again.

Cartoon Express. Gonzo Games. World League.

  • USA on the weekends rocked. Up All Night was a staple in my childhood horror watching. I wish they'd bring it back!

  • Thumbs up if you want the old USA back.

  • @amez4life Hellz, yeah...

  • Oh man, the memories. Bought my first condo in San Diego when this was popular.

  • I remember reruns of Double Trouble and that Canadian sitcom where Don Adams worked at a supermarket. USA had The Three Stooges, too.

  • maaaaaaaaaaaan! cartoon express! tha's all i gotta say right ther! and watching murder she wrote with granny everytime i went to LA. it was boring at 5-6, but, now that i look back on it, it was what i lived for, weekday summer mornings at 8:00. now the only thing good on USA i watch is monday night raw.

  • How much i miss the old USA now it is just Garbage of reruns of Law&Order.

If anyone here has any copies of (((USA Up All Night Shows))) I will buy them from you like i have done with others. Thx

  • i wish that , usa network was like this again. i remember wtaching usa up all night , and usa cartoon express.

  • This takes me right back to 1990-1991 but no later than '91. Hot summer days and nights while watching this during the afternoons while I ran in and out of the house with friends and my dad would be at the table with his cigs and newspaper and diet coke while having the baseball games play on the radio. No matter what time of the year (during these years) and no matter how chaotic or calm the days were, I would always be found watching USA during the day and Up All Night, on the Fri/Sat Nights!

  • Was that Press Your Luck that was taking a commercial break prior to this?

  • wow!

  • Used to love USA Network back then.

  • Same here! I just loved watching USA's Cartoon Express with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. JOE, and my all time favorite- The Real Ghostbusters! :D

  • and of course, lets not for get the ever-so awesome afternoon Game Show Block! Scrabble, Press Your Luck, High Rollers, TicTacDoe, Hollywood Squares (with John Davidson,) Sale of the Century, the $25,000.00 Pyramid, the $100,000.00 Pyramid, Bumper Stumpers, Jackpot, Chain Reaction, Win Lose or Draw, I could go on forever! I miss those days! Wish USA still did that game show block!

    :(

  • I also agree! Whenever Cartoon Express wasn't on USA, I watched the game shows! Good times...

  • AHH, TO BE IN MY EARLY TEENS AGAIN LOL

  • @kdizzle79 I wouldn't want to be in my early teens again, but I'd kill for the television, music and movies we had back then for sure

  • I also miss being 5.

  • this is my favorite, when i remember of the song of this intro, i think when i get for first time cable tv. i remember one, that have in the logo Hulk Hugan talk about the network.

  • This is one of my favorite network bumpers of the early 90's. However, I've been looking everywhere for some clips of USA's World League of American Football telecasts with no luck.

  • Does anyone have any clips of the guy who hosted the game show block? I'd really like to see some of those!

  • Was that the guy who dressed up as a cowboy? If so, then I'm glad that I'm not the only one in the world that remembers him.

By the way, I too am looking for clips of him.

  • I think that's who you're talking about. I don't recall exactly what he would do during the game show block, but I know he would come on during commercial breaks! :)

  • Ok,. Just so that we are thinking of the same guy, do you remember whether or not he dressed up as a cowboy? If so, then that is the guy that we're both talking about.

  • I've heard that's what he dressed up like, but I was only about 2 or 3 or so, so I don't remember. Plus, I was more interested in the actual game shows. LOL!

  • I know this particular bumper proceeded an episode of High Rollers, because that episode is on YouTube!

  • When I was little, I used to spend Sat. Nights watching USA Network's 'Up All Night'. They should bring that program back.

  • They should bring the Game Show Block back as well!

  • I can't stop watching this! I miss it so much!

  • Ah to be 15 again, and watch USA Network until 4AM on the weekends!

  • Ah when USA was cool.

  • USA was a good network, until "Law and Order" came and ruined it to become what it is today.

  • Then it became "NBC Plus" (well, it's not named that now but still).

  • I remember this bumper! I used to see it every afternoon in between the game shows that I used to love to watch on the channel: Name That Tune, Press Your Luck, $25,000 Pyramid. Why did USA ever stop showing those? :(

Oh, well, at least I can catch most of the game shows I like on Gameshow Network.

  • That was USA Network's Game Show Block. I loved watching those game-shows too. My favorite was Hot Potato. Do you remember that cowboy that use to host the Game-Show Block? I use to love that guy. USA, TNT, and TBS use to be such great networks from the 80s up until 1996.

  • No, I don't remember that. I actually was without USA for about a year, because my idiot former cable company yanked them due to a contract dispute. He must have been during the period when I did not get the channe.

  • And that was back when you really did not have an alternative to cable, so I was stuck!

  • yo wont it that cat that hosted 80s version of Hollywood squares u talkin bout? john davidson of sumthing?

  • Yes, John Davidson hosted Hollywood Squares in the 80's.

  • same here

  • When was this video recorded?

  • There was also a nighttime version of that ID which got us pumped every Monday night for WWF Prime Time Wrestling!!!

  • And I still know where Hulk Hogan was (middle of "S", left of Angela Lansbury)

  • When I was little the lineup included, Face The Music, Tic Tac Dough(Martindale), High Rollers, Bumper Stumpers, Jackpot, Name That Tune(Lange), , Press Your Luck, and Hot Potato. Oh those were the days.

  • . . . and Tic Tac Dough, Talk About, The Joker's Wild, Free 4 All, Quicksilver, Caesar's Challenge, and a whole myriad of others that came on USA before I was born! Thanks a lot for putting this up!

  • Amen to what everyone said! B-) B-)

  • Oh yes! The glory days of USA where I could sometimes stay home from pre-school to watch my favorite GS's on USA!

    I miss this so much!!

  • Me too! From kindergarten to second grade, I used to love watching Press Your Luck, Hollywood Squares, Scrabble, Sale of the Century, and the Pyramids every afternoon after school and on holidays! Brings back so many fond memories.

  • We must be the same age then! :) I can remember being in first grade and drawing pictures of The $25,000 and $100,000 Pyramid sets; I even used to make my own replica sets of the Pyramid and using my Fisher-Price toy people as contestants. Those were the days, dude...

  • Tell me about it! I'm 22; how old are you

  • I'll be 22 next Friday! :D

  • I turned 22 four months ago, so have yourself a happy birthday! Enjoy every minute of it!

  • My mistake; I meant three months ago.

  • same here, im 25, i miss those days too

  • I'm 19, but I remember this pretty well! I wish I had a time machine LOL! USA needs to do this again! Same game shows, same bumper! Who agrees!

  • Reg Grundy owned a Time Machine, but you had to take John Davidson too.

  • Is that good? Or bad?

  • John Davidson? Well, I don't know. I'd rather take him as Master of the HS than Bowzer.

NBC+? Well, I miss the game show block.

  • So do I!

  • 1st one bro 2 agree

  • What were your favorite game shows featured in the block during the 90's?

  • dang dats a hard one, pyramid, jokers wild 90, etc
