  • AWWWH i love that little jumpy thing ellen does when kristin bumps her. they are both sooo adorable ♥♥♥

  • i love pushing daisies so much. sooooo much.

  • they sound awsome

  • second saddest cancellation ever. first? firefly. :'(

  • @shannieannie holy crap , my bestfriend said that like yesterday lmao

  • One person doesn't have a little birdhouse in their soul.

  • This is one of those shows that NEVER should have been cancelled. Seriously. For instance, I like Smallville for some reason, but in terms of actual quality? It kinda sucks. This show, I liked AND it was high quality stuff. Somehow managed to hit the perfect mix of cheesy and macabre, optimistic and cynical, episodic yet with some clear storylines. Perfect. :)

BTW: Kristin Chenoweth is simply adorable. I so love tiny people. :)

  • SWOOSIE <3

  • Kristin Chenoweth is probably the only one who get away with singing this song and making it sound credible. The perfect combo of cheesy and sincere.

  • Love the full version on the soundtrack - this song always makes me smile. LOVE that Digby gets to sit shotgun in this scene too.

  • @AutonomousIdentity Holy crap! The soundtrack's available!?!? lol Awesome! I didn't know! THANKS!!! :D >>heads straight over to Amazon.com<<

  • Sent here by Chad from NFG. Eh, sucks that the singing as so short.

  • So what, they based an entire episode around an obscure song?

  • No.

  • the red head chick who's driving played a judge on Law and Order Special Victims Unit. I hated her character so much lol

    like the vid tho

  • Isn't that Laura Greene who played the fantastic and never equalled role of Audrey in the Little Shop of Horrors musical???

  • Ellen. Her name is Ellen Greene who played the fantastic and never equalled role of Audrey in the Little Shop of Horrors musical. =]

  • Ellen Greene..

  • Galinda AND Audrey?!?!?!?

    amazing.

  • then I just won't open my closet, I guess. oh snap.

  • No way! Don't talk smack about Audrey.

  • its season 1 episode 4, just watched it yesterday!

  • Eternal Flame? She sounded amazing singing it!

  • I missed tonights show! hopefully they will do reruns

  • Oh dear.

  • Actually, Ellen Greene should sing one of the songs from "little shop of horrors" in the next season, maybe "Somewhere that`s green" or "Suddenly Seymour". I honestly think that would be great.

  • got to see this show!!!

  • I love the show but they need to put more of those lil musical interludes in there! why waste all that talent?

  • They had a great one today at the end of the episode, Kristin Chenoweth has such a great voice

  • I love the show but they need to put more of those lil musical interludes in there! why waste all that talent?

  • Frickin' great song

  • hahaha I love Kristin, she's amazing

  • kristin chenoweth has an amazing voice

  • This is HILLARIOUS!!!!

  • What does Kristin say at 0:21, before she says sadness because I don't understand?

BTW I love Kristin! She's so talented and funny!

  • Charlotte

  • OMG! That's my name lol! And the other character in Pushing Daisies!

  • *superspecialawsomehappyface*

    <3

  • I always thought "Birdhouse in your soul" was inspired by Emily Dickinson's poem "Hope is that thing with feathers".

Their little talk about hope after chucks death kinda validates that...

I dunno, maybe its just coicidence...

  • anyone know what the car is?

  • I think it's a Morris Traveler

  • I'm guessing there's a huge overlap between TMBG fans and Pushing Daisies viewers. Just a well-informed hunch.

  • It was classic TV!!

  • i live kristin sooooooooo much

  • i love how Lily is so serious while they sing the back seat. lol. I didn't know it was a real song, i thought they made it up.

  • Same.

  • Tis they might be giants, legend

  • apparently.

  • What an awesome episode and one of the most wonderful parts of it!! It's wonderful seeing Ellen Greene, Kristin Chenoweth and Swoosie Kurtz. They're all fantastic.

An episode with the aunts is always a great episode!!

  • my friend found out they sang a TMBG song I totaly started freaking out, I love pusing daisies and TMBG!

  • When Olive said "Make a little birdhouse in your soul" before it got to a break I was singing it to myself and when it came back on Vivian and Olive was singing it. It was AWESOME....

  • This episode came out on my birthday......Ellen Greene (one of my favourite singer/actresses out there!!!) singing on my favourite show = pretty amazing birthday!!!!

  • Oh my god, I was watching thinking oh please do please do, and they did. This is my FAVE song now sung by my fave person....Go Cheno!

  • So Ellen Greene really talks like that? Haha. Neat. xD

  • I'd never heard this song before this episode so I don't have anything to compare it to but I thought it was amazing! lol. I love Cheno and I always get butterflies in my stomach when I hear her sing her songs on the show. I think I read somewhere that they were thinking of doing a musical episode...maybe I misunderstood, but that would be awesome. Love the show and love the Cheno!

  • One of my favorite songs, with a truly original concept show. Win-win all around.

  • I also hope they'll do a song every couple of episodes. It works really well in this show, and Kristin is great. "Birdhouse in your Soul" was a semi-hit for They Might Be Giants in 1990, a truly great song. I was so excited when I realized what they were doing.

    Fantastic show.

  • I agree and look forward to more singing from Ellen Greene, too. She has a wonderdully deceptive voice as anyone who remembers "Little Shop of Horrors" knows.

"Birdhouse" was a big hit in England.

  • This is the 2nd song for Kristin, in this series. Pitty it wasn't a little longer, like "Hopelessly Devoted" was. Though neither were done as entire songs. I'm thinking she'll be singing other snipets of "up" songs from musicals and such. This is the first time I'd ever heard of this one. But I really liked it.

  • Pushing Daisies is genius...I love this bit

  • hell to the yes.
