Personally I think this: if it happened to you, once, to own a PRE or a Lusitano, its difficult to watch for another breed. They love the human being, their kind of spirit is just unique, unforgettable!
ooh, my boy Los Caballos Simberto, is a part bred spanish horse, his grandfather was the first spanish horse to be imported to australia, very very good breeding, =)
Magnificent horse and great connection between rider and horse! Bet he is much better at this now! Keep up the great companionship! We want more video!
enhorabuena caballero, quizas dices ser aficionado porque no cobras por que te vean montar, pero lo haces de maravilla. Y el caballo es un sueño. I say the rider is great and the horse a dream.
The cowboy has deep historic roots tracing back to Spain and the earliest settlers of the Americas. The origins of the cowboy tradition come from Spain, beginning with the hacienda system of medieval Spain.
I have always had western horses, Ive seen many breeds, colors, ages, and styles. But out of them all the spanish horses are the most beutiful, talented, and unique horses i have ever seen. If I knew spanish or just the commands i wwould buy as many of these outstanding creatures i possibly could. THIS IS GREAT!!!

@LuxMagna el puto caballo español no existe, se llama CABALLO ANDALUZ. Pero como siempre a todo lo andaluz se le llama español para robarnos la identidad a los andaluces, nada nuevo...
Ignorance is not bliss! Moors from North Africa conquered Spain not the Arabs. But the Iberian horse was already an established and famous breed before then. The ancient Romans prized them highly. A Spanish horse is the opposite of an Arab who have dished, concave heads, low, floating action and high set tail carriage. Spanish horses have straight to convex heads, high powerful action and low set tails. There is NO Arab blood in Pura Raza Espanol horses. I breed and judge them !
This not an Arabian horse but a berberhorse it's origine are North African. It was indeed also important in the iberian peninsula. An Arabian Horse looks very different and an Arbian horse has his tale up.
sorry to be a bitch, but everything looks a little rushed.the horse looks all tense and frightned, not as if its having fun. and to 'pandafacepanda' he is using a dressage whip.
she said excessive use of the crop. i think the rushing you are referring to is because spanish horses are very active horses, and a frightened horse wouldnt be able to be ridden with out resistance (in most places in the video there is a sag in the reins -the horse is listening to the seat, and getting on with his work.)also if it was tense, why would it go into a loose walk when the reins where dropped at the end.
This horse doesn't look frightened to me and I've been studying horse behavior and body language in depth for two years. I don't like a lot of riders now days but these are some very well schooled horses and this rider is very good.
I am in love with your horse! I now get to ride a boarder's Andalusian Mare and it is like a dream come true every time I get on! I am green with envy of anyone able to have such an incrediable horse!!! (but in a good way!!!)
I have imported PRE horses in Miami, Florida. Your stallion is impressive, and you two look great together. Thank you for sharing the grace and majesty of the Spanish horse. Many can only dream of such an animal- and you get to ride one! Isn't life just great???? ~Mary Beth Perez~
Hi.... I too have a PRE horse. :-)) This team has done well in the name of fun! The young horse is happy and eager to do what the rider asks... his tail isn't swishing and ears aren't back (especially in the piaffer)... This rider asks the horse to move laterally with no kicking, jabbing, squeezing, or lifting of his outside leg. Nice bit of classical dressage. :-) Lots of practice from downward and backward movements to get the horse more balanced on his hind end. Also... TEMPO, slower!
HI All - I took the video. The rider is a normal guy who just enjoys his horse. He's like so many of us - has a job, has to work. He isn't into competitions - just loves what he can manage to do.
Thats an amaing horse right there!! Yes the rider does have some position issues but you know if I had a horse like that I would for sure be "showing him off"...;D
ah yea....that's called Dressage...generally people who think it is showing off are the ones who are jealous because they have no clue how to do it. It is perfect, no...but this isn't a perfect world now is it. That is a beautiful horse and I give that rider credit for permitting this to be posted here. I'd be happy to receive some lessons from him.
Do you even see? I see a dedicated, skilled horsemen that has shared his magnificent PRE stalion with us all to enjoy. Perhaps you have a comparable link to share....
