We started ours super easy and quick. We went to (ocean grand dot org) and we were a full 501c3 in 4 weeks for $380 dollars. Then they helped us learn how to find funders and we did a fundraiser that brought in loads of cash. We are now paid staff and fully funded. Check them out, they were a huge help.

The most helpful group I know of for starting a nonprofit is Ocean Grand .org they can get you started in 4 weeks and tons of information.

@WonderWomanFan4life Ran from home AS I was working a FT job (more to come), had an office donated and then they moved (another story), people will find you (shelters, single mother associations, community networking, etc.), I do not actually have a "product", advertising - local paper, libraries, blog, word of mouth. I am working on this project as a Lifetime (my lifetime) story.
