I agree, that was mean. And I definitely agree he's a total hottie! He has that comforting charm that is so very rare in people anymore. People need to respect him for what and who he is, has been, and will always be. He's not that "dumdum" they tried to make him out to be when they began in the 60's. I understand why he left. He needed to do what was true to him. And what you've seen in this video post is just that. Did I mention he's a hottie? ;o)
I think you've given me incentive to see the Monkees at the Beacon in June. Nice to see Peter play solo. From all the interviews he seems to be a very down-to-earth guy.
And I'm damned jealous that there aren't (as of yet) any SSB tour dates for anyplace south of NEW JERSEY!!!!!! Hell, man, you gwan' play the blues, you gotta come to where they were BORN, the mouth of the Mississippi River!
I grew up in no-wheres-ville Alberta doing the kind of work that people or businesses would be charged by child labor laws today. (I'm 57)
But there was one solace for 1/2 hour on Sunday evenings. It was the Monkees.
I loved them all and they helped sustain me in a life I thought was dead-ended.
I've since, as an adult enjoyed singing and playing music as my solace and I still listen to the Monkees too. Keep on goin' Peter. You're still the greatest and thank you for your gift to my life!
For God's Sake give the man a break, he is 68 and been through a number of years of cancer and treatments, he looks fantastic and his voice is great. GO Peter GO
@patriciamaria57 I did not know he had cancer! Of what? I was a huge Monkees fan back in 1986 and must admit I lost track of them over the years but have sorta gotten a sudden burst of Monkeemania lately.
Peter, come back to California soon!!!! You look so well after all you've been through. I'm happy you've been done with your treatment for it since last year babe!!! Love you always!!!!
@kaleyjoi You need glasses he is still very much hansome and even more so in person. He does view some comments in youtube that was mean. And yes I have met the man a few times. Very good looking. And grow up meanie.
He sounds well considering what he has gone through. I heard he was near death but clearly that is not true. The cancer treatment must be working.
My one brother looked exactly like him and still does pretty much. Back in the late-80's he had the same haircut Peter had in the 60's show even, not on purpose to look like him or anything it just worked on him he thought. The resemblance uncanny. His teachers at the time that grew up with the Monkees called him "Peter" by mistake a few times.

It's so kool to see Tork that I'm not going to ask about "Daydream Believer"
being sung at a blues festival.

Go figure that on my 27th birthday, Peter Tork was in Pennsylvania, playing my favorite song ever!
