HONDO - 1967 - Ralph Taeger - Hondo & the Gladiators - shocking dogfighting scene

Hondo is based on the John Wayne movie, which is further based on the Louie Lamour novel, who I consider to be the King of the Western writers. It told the story of an Indian scout for the US Army and his adventures with the Apache Indians, namely a chief, Vitoro. This show showed the Indians in a sympathetic and positive light. Australian actor Michael Pate played Victoro. It was sad that the show did not last that long.

Ralph Taeger did a great job playing Hondo Lane in this series based on the John Wayne movie.
