ya know, it breaks my heart. Ya have an amazingly talented guitarist who can easily be in the top 50 guitarists of all time, yet, only a hand full of people have heard of him. This guy worked very hard n deserved to be recognized, but he isn't. Then we get people (like Justin Bieber) who never heard of good music, are by no means talented, don't care about the music or the fans (only money) and don't write their own songs. Poor Tony Bourge must be workin some shit job nowadays-it's not fair!
Same here dude!! I just heard them like 2 months ago and I can't believe I've been missing so much awesome music. How come this band was not more popular? Pretty much all their stuff is just classic.
That solo/breakdown gives me the willies everytime i hear it lol similar to that famous breakdown found in Sir Lord Baltimores' "Master Heartache"...just gonzo! gotta luv it man
I'm glad Metallica covered Budgie. I might not have found out about them as soon as I did if it weren't for Metallica. Budgie is now one of my favorite bands. So thanks Metallica for helping me find a new musical interest! They also introduced me to Mercyful Fate.
Budgie, the best power trio. they deserve to be in the hall of fame instead of half of the "pop culture" crap that's in there now. they were one of the true shakers and movers to real musicians. Metallica's "Breadfan" gets blown out of the water by Budgie. I love Budgie, just all around a great, great band.
Madonna is inducted to the rock'n'roll hall of fame, and not Budgie.. Madonna is just about as far away from rock'n'roll as possible, and Budgie is one of the best bands in the hard rock-genre.. Rock'n'roll hall of SHAME!
@ruudinho23 Another travesty: Kurt Cobain made it into Rolling Stone magazine's top 100 guitarists of all time, along with George Harrison being their #1, and Randy Rhoads isn't even mentioned.
@ZombiemanSteve Amen! And did Buck Dharma threaten to sue if he was included... or was his name too common for them to remember, OR WHAT?
And so on, and so forth... I can see why Bill Nelson might be omitted: his cult is comprised of guitarists, mostly. But it's a terribly botched list... by any reasonable standard. Ron Asheton of The Stooges? He's OK... I'm marginally better, and that is NOT a brag!
And don't get me started on the lead guitar atrocities of Greg Ginn!
@ruudinho23 Everyone knows the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is rigged beyond belief. This is a place which doesn't have KISS, fer cryin' out loud. They only invented glam - the most popular genre of the 80s, regardless of its quality (personally don't like it >_>).
@browncoat697 Sorry but Kiss didn't invented Glam Rock at all...in fact they recorded their first albun when glam was beggining to lose strenght.Bowie,The Sweet,Slade,T-Rex started it...basiccaly at the same time.late 60's early 70's It reached its peak around 1973.Peace man!
burke shelly is amazing on bass, just as good as geezer butler.

This song could use some editing at the beginning and in the middle 'cause the basic structure is a great riff.

man, it's like Burke Shelly wrote those lyrics for me. I have the exact same problem he had, only with my teachers.

I just now discovered this band. Where the hell have I been? This is great! It's like I found a lost Ozzy era Sabbath album.
