ya it's a gretsch. i don't know why that guy would think it's the gibson robot.. they've only put that technology in a few different guitars and they're all les paul models. johnny is clearly not playing a les paul.

I believe the original robots were only available in silver, and a purple very similar to Johnny's Gretsch. It's a rare color, I could see where someone who doesn't know their guitars very well could do that.
