Dude, thats an outstanding version. Me, a German lad who used to live long time in Dublin, had tears in my eyes while listening. Lost a piece of my heart in Ireland. Besides, your verion of Barretts Privateers is brilliant too. Cheers me lad. Thomas
I love your sound and perfromance your so talanted, please do drop in on my channel and have a listen to my songs about my home town Sunderland cheers The Makem Folk Singer
i apologize for my last comment, i was in a bad mood and was a dick. it's not fair and right to discredit someone based on birth place. You did a great job brother.
@checkerbordom If you sing the song enough you'll figure out that there are very brief inhale every so few lines. They're very quick inhales, almost as if you had the hiccups. If you have proper breath control you don't need to inhale constantly. The hard part is inhaling without an obvious, heavy breathing sound. Of course, as with any singing, proper diaphragm control is key as well.
Ah yes! i was looking to see if you did a rendition of this! Well played as always! looking forward to more, I still think you and your bodhran could do a nice version of Mick Mcquire haha.
