  • I can never get tired of watching you play STRYPER songs! I love watching you play! I wish other bands would show their drummer in the same view as we get to see you! That's what has been missing when bands perform all along! Thanks for showing us what we've been missing!

  • @bbythesea7 Thank you very much!!!

  • un solo desorden :S

  • Very nice and I like this camera angle. Can see both feet quite well. And dude, you need more cymbals. :-)

  • very god

  • i like this video!!!!

  • full solo!

  • Y'know, for such a simple song on drums, "The Way" certainly has a lot of energy, huh? :p

This is very well done~! I hear a couple of minor errors (mostly a missed kick before the first chorus) but it's awesome, nonetheless~!

  • hey dude, you really kick ass!!!! I absolutely love Stryper's music and you did an amazing job with this song!!!! greetings from Ecuador, South America!!!!!

  • Good, but not spot on.

Don't hate, but my ears don't lie.

Credit is given when credit is due.

  • I love your covers! Fantastic job,,,,Praise Father!

  • What ride cymbal is that and how much?!?!

  • @spudsmagicvideos That is a Paiste Signature Blue Bell Ride and they are about $400.

  • If Robert get sick on Tour. It a wrap!! Good Job!!!

  • another awesome performance! You rock

  • Stumbled on this video looking for some old Stryper recordings of "The Way" - all I have to say is this rocks!! I'm no drummer (bass player) but this is some great stuff man!

  • All I can say man is....WOW!! I have a good ear for music and you were spot on!! I watch YouTube almost daily, but hardly ever post comments. YOU INSPIRED ME!! Keep up the good work!

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words!

  • Dude, this is insane!!! The Way is my fav from this album also. Great job brother.

  • Great job! I've viewed several of your videos. How do you record the music track and you playing live with headphones at the same time?

  • I record the video, take the video and import it into Windows Movie Maker, import the album/backing track and synch the two up. Bingo bamo, instant video cover.

  • Hmm, by the way, what camera angle are you going to use when you got 21 drums? :P Unless you put it up like Terry Bozzio. =)

  • That is unbelievable. You're good, man. Really. *is unspeakably jealous* Great taste in music, too.

  • another awesome walk down memory lane. You are a master. keep pounding it out and pumping out the vids

  • mint work JAM ON!

  • fuck dude that was awesome !!!! u just Rock

  • Wow bro! Very impressive! Great job and keep on poundin them skins!

  • Aha, thanks for explaining it to me.

  • Why 21 drums and 21 cymbals?:O

  • Because in their home video "In The Begining", Rober Sweet states that he has "21 drums, 21 cymbals, lots of mirrors, lots of stripes."

That was the kit he used on the To Hell With The Devil Tour.

  • Good, but I think you need more than 13 cymbals.

  • Thanks! The goal is to have 21 drums and 21 cymbals. :p :)

  • Awesome! I haven't heard this in years! Thanks for covering it!

  • man gs, how do you tune your toms that good man? ive been trying to figure it out for a long time. i know its all ear but do you have any tuning intruments?

  • Even tension. Get the best pitch for the drum. This is usually where it resonates the most. Top and Bottom heads are relatively the same pitch.

  • Great stuff. Thanks for doing the Stryper!

  • Thank you!

  • Awesome band. Awesome song. Awesome cover.

  • glen good job im glad to see this

  • Thanks Tina!

  • Awsome man, like every vid of you!

Are im seeing right that you have new pedals ?

    Beaters look like Axis.

  • Thanks man!

Nope! That is my Iron Cobra. I got new Iron Cobra wood head beaters. Luve em!

  • My son enjoyed as well as I did, thank you!

  • Thanks! I'm glad you guys enjoyed it!

  • what hihat is that?

  • That's complicated..lol...

It's a 14" Paiste 505 Heavy Hi Hat top with a Paiste 2000 Sound Edge bottom.

I love them but I want 2002 Sound Edges and hopefully soon.

  • lol...nice combo :D

  • god, i definately don't listen to enough stryper, i don't know why, nocturnal rites is one of my favorite bands and this is similar, wicked cover btw, looking foward to seeing more. i just subscribed last week.

  • Thanks!

  • AWENSOME!! GOOD JOB MAN!!

  • Thank you!

  • hey man can u do another drum kit set up so we can see what all has been added to ur kit? cuz i know there is alot that has been added

  • Wait just a little while longer, it's coming. There's some custom work I am doing on the rack and then it'll be ready.

  • AWESOME brutha!! I remember seeing Stryper in 1987 at Six Flags, they rocked and you rock EVEN more!!! How about doing Killed By Death or Overkill by Motorhead??!!

  • Thanks man!

  • u r the best!!!

  • Amazing!

  • Thank you!

  • Ah cool stuff as usual mate! I rekon you should do as a request from me :P, is stand up and shout by dio/ we rock!

  • Thanks man! A Dio cover could be fun...hmmm.

  • you no you want to :P

  • great stuff! you need to cover dream theaters new stuff.... particularly a nightmare to remember... some sick stuff there

  • Thanks and LOL..That stuff ain't even released yet and I would get in some major trouble with Mr Portnoy if I did that prematurely. Besides, A Nightmare to Remember will be a monster!

  • Um whats this about dream theater and unreleased stuff, you gota realise i live in the UK so takes me longer to no about these things :P . . . . . . You manage to make other DT stuff look easy, should do that one that lonesaiyan said :P aswel as the dio one

  • It's a song from the new album that leaked a few weeks ago. Don't go looking for it, just wait a few more weeks when the album is released.

  • well yes but i mean when it does come out... yes mr portnoy would probably be quite angry lol

  • Yes, he definitely would.

There's one thing about A Nightmare To Remember that I have never done, it contains about 15-20 seconds of blast beats. I guess I'm learning soon.

  • OMG Please PLeASE PLEASE do a nightmare to remember! I BEG OF YOU!

  • Look forward to seeing it :)

  • It might be a while. :)

  • A NIGHTMARE TO REMEMBER, DO IT! :D

  • I will work on it.

  • Another top notch performance.

  • Thank you!

  • Thats great Glen! Man, Stryper should let you on stage this tour and do a few songs with them! That would Rock!

  • Thank you! It would be a dream come true to sit in with the band during a show.

    Someday maybe.

  • nice job man, what ride is that?

  • the signature Stewart Copeland Ride

  • Thanks and just like sp1epiphany said but it is more commonly known as the Blue Bell Ride. Paiste Signature series.

  • allthough the bell is obviously the ONLY thing that's not blue on this cymbal ^^

nice vid! smooth drumming as usual :)

  • I thought the same thing but if you think about it this way, it is a Paiste Bell ride that happens to be blue. ??

  • yeah, I guess so...
